Oxenford Tavern Reviews
We visited the Oxenford Tavern at the end of October 2023 as were informed that it was a lovely family Tavern. Our group was five people, 87, 63, 59, 39 and 6, we were catered for amazingly particularly from the manager Kaitlyn who went out of her way to provide the utmost service plus the food was exceptional. She went above and beyond which is not the norm. I know we all would highly recommend Kaitlyn and the Tavern to everyone.

Went here for the first time on a Saturday in March 2024. Fairly standard tavern setup with a sports bar and gaming - however a massive bistro area including kids play room, a huge surprise. We had the calamari and barramundi which were outstanding, the fish melted off the fork it was so good. Service was excellent with the staff smiling and helpful.

We made a booking earlier in the day for a party of 10. On arrival, we didn’t wait long before being greeted. We were served by Keen and he made our night with his friendly manner and professionalism. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a great night.

We had my dads 74th Birthday their this afternoon as well as my nieces 21st and the staff were amazing! My dad and niece had such a good time and Michelle and Kaitlyn made them feel very special. The food was awesome and the customer service was amazing. Thankyou to all the staff who made their birthday lunch unforgettable. If I could give more

We decided to celebrate our 18th anniversary here this evening. We were served by Teegan who was very bubbly, courteous, welcoming and personable and after telling her it was our anniversary she set us up with a VIP table and all staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our evening visit. Food was delicious. For dessert Teegan surprised us with a special anniversary brownie which made our evening that extra bit special! Thanks again to all staff and special thank you to Teegan!

Waiter spilt a drink on me waitress serving us rude and short
Ribeye was full of gristle under cook chips cold
Meal got brought out separately wont be back

Visited the ox on a Saturday night, all the staff truly went above and beyond with service and clearing the table after meals. They were also very friendly and welcoming as we were seated and when we left. The meals were a very generous serving and tasty. Will definitely be back

This Tavern is great. The parmigiana was delicious and at a good price. Convenient location just off the M1. Super friendly staff. Indoor playground for the kids.

The service is superb, such lovely staff. Particularly Samantha, Bailey and Michelle made my night great. Definitely will go back again. Trivia was so much fun!

The beef pie was amazing, especially when enjoyed with a glass of beer. The interior reminded me of a mountain lodge.

Simple and plain food but good food and kids friendly place.
I arrived only a little before closing time and they managed to whip up a chicken parmigiana in what felt like an amazingly short time.
Food was plain, but hot and tasted good

Sam, Michelle, and Bailey run a fantastic trivia on a Tuesday night. It was my first time going and I had a blast. They made sure the entire crowd was having fun! Thank you for a great night Sam, Michelle and Bailey :)

phenomanal tavern that offers unique food a large range of chef specials, highly professional customer service and amazing dining experience from outdoor and indoor dining to the exterior bar area where you can watch your favourite sport live and loud from multiple vantage points.

My wife and I went with our kids 2 & 4 mid week for a lunch. Service straight up was great! Paris was great and could not do her job any better. Drink special on superdry schooners for $6 was awesome. Only thing I was disappointed in was the burger menu. Seemed very basic for adults. Cheeseburger, steak sandwich or schnitzel burger. Would love to see some other interesting options. Overall a good local place

My father, the worst pub I’ve experienced on the northern Gold Coast, Staff are In short supply and not interested in service.
Food is below par and seriously overpriced

Main meals were ok I have definitely had better sized portions previously so not sure if it's because of a new chef or budget cuts but dessert was an absolute disgrace quiet frankly I could have done a better job.

just want to give a shout out to our server tonight, KEEN. keen is amazing, always serving with a smile on his face and always so enthusiastic to do his job, he makes our experiences at the pub so much better!

I've not been there for quite a while & when went back, it has made a lot of changes. Comfy & homely atmosphere, very nice staff & my meal was superb ! Nice job, guys !

It's local to me. Been there a few times now.
Food is good. Service is via a QR code and go to the bar for drinks.
Atmosphere. Well, if you love a place where kids run around with little parent interaction then this is the place for you.
I doubt we'll ever go back, only due to the kids bumping into your table and the parents laughing. Thinking it's OK.
A shame. But that's just my opinion (of the 5 odd times we've been)

I am a chef been working in pubs with 5 stars reviews. Came yesterday Sunday 21.01 for dinner. The steak was not hot as well as the chips ,the salad not fresh as if with my experience it was already done just reheat it or was put in the microwave. We are happy to pay not a problem, do your work properly make clients happy please. Love your job. Thank you

Had old style rustic kind of charm. Just off the motorway. Friendly staff and patrons. Clean and tidy. Small to medium size pokie room. Larger dining area. Nice enough for a look if your in the area

Had an issue with an item that wasn't mentioned on the menu. They fixed up the dish and updated the menu. Amazing keep it up.

After a conversation with the kitchen manager and the chef. It was agreed our order would be put on hold. As the other half of our table had a few issues and ordered later then us. In return our food was going cold while waiting for the second order to arrive. When I spoke to the kitchen manager. He was rude and was not interested in helping us at all. He also denied that he agreed to holding our order. Not to mention our cocktails finally cam out after everyone else had already finished their drinks. And they were only half full. For $18 a drink. I would like a full glass please.
