We came here for the first time today. We experienced a lovely warm welcome - smiles and pleasant chat made us feel perfectly at home. We had a couple of requests and the team accommodated our needs without hesitation. Everyone enjoyed being here and we would like to say a big thank you to all. We will be back.
I can whole-heartedly recommend Bob’s at the Oxley Tavern.

Was very happy had my sisters 21st here all the staff was very friendly and greeted us. Had a very memorable time. They even did a special order of crumb steak just for the birthday girl as it's not on the menu anymore.

Tiny little bistro tucked at one end of the bar but the food was superb!
If you think you've had the best hot chips bit you've not been to the Oxley Tavern, you have NOT had the best hot chips!!
Limited menu, but with something for everyone.

The wings where the best thing on the menu, the pizza is frozen, the fish was old the chicken Parm was burnt and the chips where still cold in the middle. I don't understand why such little care is taken with the food when we where one of 4 tables in there. On another note the drinks where good

The food was enjoyable, steak was overcooked slightly but not a huge deal. However, the food did take 45 minutes to come out, with maybe only 4 other tables in the dining room.

Thanks to Damian & Jay for sorting out my lost members card : ) And for your amazing 5 star customer service ,we decided to have a meal and drinks .
Steaks were cooked to perfection , well done to the chefs on the day 24/2 🥂

Spur of the moment stop for a late lunch turned out to be a great decision! Could not have asked for better service from the lovely Giada. Food was fantastic, will definitely be back. Thank you! 😊😊

Recently had dinner there with partner she ordered the barramundi & chips meal she noticed the fish had a weird taste later that night got food poisoning for a whole week even missed out on work she was that ill.
We will never go there again.

My recent visit to this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. Despite being a returning customer, I was shocked by the lack of hospitality and professionalism. Arriving before the advertised opening time, I was informed that food wouldn't be available until 5 pm. Fine, I thought, and settled for ordering some soft drinks while I waited.However, my patience was quickly tested when another staff member approached me and demanded identification, citing a no-minors policy. Despite offering to provide a digital copy of my ID, they rudely declined and gave me an unreasonable ultimatum: finish my drink within five minutes and leave. This treatment was unacceptable, especially considering my previous positive experiences at this establishment. Needless to say, I won't be returning anytime soon.

My recent experience at this pub/restaurant left much to be desired. As a returning customer, I was surprised to learn that there had been changes to the food serving schedule during weekdays, with meals now starting at 5 pm. Not wanting to wait hungry, I decided to order some soft drinks and use the time to catch up on work on my computer while waiting for dinner. However, my peaceful evening was disrupted when another staff member approached me and demanded identification, citing a policy regarding minors. Despite offering to show my digital ID, they dismissively refused and gave me an ultimatum: finish my drink within five minutes and leave or face a refund. This treatment was not only unwelcoming but also disrespectful. Needless to say, I left immediately feeling frustrated and unappreciated.

I ordered a very simple dish which any restaurants should get it right, the rump steak, medium rare. It's slightly overcooked but I didn't have a fuss about that.
However, the steak was dried and tough. I left about a quarter just could finish that - it was that bad. It doesn't worth $28 at all.

I’m a disability support worker and had an amazing experience taking me and my client there for lunch! Giana (sorry I think I’m spelling her name wrong) the Italian lady was absolutely lovely and gave great service. Will be returning :)

Had a great lunch and a couple of nice cold beers today at the Oxley Tavern. Food was great and the beer cold. Service from Margi was the highlight making the visit all that much better! We will be back Margi. Cheers Dave.

First time dining here and will definitely be back. Best onion rings I’ve had in a long time. Bobs burger was also a hit. Thanks to Aly for the great service. See you again soon

Every time I've had dinner I've been impressed with the freshness of the salads and cooking of the steaks..
Staff are super attentive and friendly too.
Probably one of the best ALH taverns to visit in southwest Brisbane.

“Do yourself a favour” I can’t say anything negative about this place. I travelled over 4 hours to get to Brisbane to find this place for dinner. Sensational. I’ll be back every time I’m back in town. 10/10.

Come to this tavern once a week for dinner and a few drinks, have never had a bad experience the steak, and coleslaw is always on point. And the staff are always very helpful and seemed to have been trained in the proper etiquette for customer service.

Absolutely wonderful venue! The staff are welcoming, attentive and pleasing to talk to, the cook at Bob's is fantastic! The atmosphere of locals and visitors was pleasant and inviting. First time visit and it won't be our last! 👌👌

Absolutely outstanding customer service. Hayley was the star of the show, truly went above and beyond to cater towards me and my families every request. Very respectable staff and the food was just to die for.
