What a wonderful experience from arrival till we left .
Staff were happy , smiling and very helpful and attentive.
The food was delicious and well presented.
It was very busy but the staff kept smiling and they were all fast workers .
The place itself has fabulous decor , love the cow hides and wooden ornaments etc so much to see and do many rooms , it was great 👍🏻
Well done 👏🏻 and we can't wait to come back

Went to the PA tonight for dinner.
Waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to to show us to a table. Very slow and no line.
Once at the table I went to the bar for drinks. No bar tender at the bar. Waited over 10 minutes. Before I went looking for a bar tender at the other bar only to be told to order at the first bar.
Returned to the first bar and waited a further 5 minutes without being acknowledged. (There was a person behind the bar by now but definitely not a bar tender)
Gave up and left. Service was atrocious at best.

We looked forward to dining here last night but were severely disappointed. Building, location, facilities and layout of hotel are amazing but pity food does not live up to expectations. Oysters were worst ever experienced and all meals by our group were largely left and uneaten. Whoever was cooking was clearly not a Chef with any level of pride as they would surely not eat here. Considering price and description of courses, very disappointing experience.

We had a great lunch yesterday. I especially loved our waiter. I forgot to get his name but he is here in the background in this photo. The food was lovely, the atmosphere was chill and the cocktails were delicious. We took a million photos and plastered them on our Facebooks. Thanks 😘

We had a booking for 10 but turned out to be 8, we asked the waitress about the round tables she offered one of them to us, we moved and she so kindly moved everything over for us nothing was too much trouble. We loved the table as it is easy to talk in a group. The service was fantastic the food was great and the sweets were to die for. We stayed for a long time as we were all having a great time but at no time did anyone come over and asked us to leave. We would recommend the PA Ipswich to anyone wanting great food and a friendly place to relax and enjoy them selves. We would give you 5 star. *****

We came recently to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. We did arrive pretty early but the lady was lovely about it we were lucky enough to be seated straight away (we'd have just gone to the gaming room if we needed to sit at our booking time but i think we got lucky because it was quiet). The servers were polite and helpful the whole time, especiallythe young man with glasses whose name i didnt catch. I forgot to order the topper on my husbands steak and it was easy to order separately and we managed to get it ordered before the meal came out. We didn't wait too long for food and it was perfect. Compliments to the chef!
Really appreciated that one of the staff (a manager perhaps) had a word with the kids running around like it was a playground, most places don't say anything and I appreciated we got the nice quiet dinner we planned as we picked Char'd specifically for it.

The vibe of this place was really awesome, it was a cozy feeling. the food was delicious and wasn’t overly priced. Huge range of drinks too however the service could’ve been better.
Nobody came out to see how we were going or to collect any of our empty glasses during our whole stay which was disappointing. Otherwise it was really lovely

The team were exceptional with our group.
Our patronage was superb 👌
Food was fresh tasty generous meals as well as inexpensive with the Wednesday lunch specials Menu offering a complimentary drink with meal.
Ladies purchased drinks too.
Wine 🍷 🥂 Soft drink Fresh Juice or Coffee and tea afterwards ✨️
definitely recommend as we enjoy each and every group outting here at The Plantations Bistro.....

The PA Hotel has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Not only do they have the largest tap craft beer offering in the Southern Hemisphere, the food is excellent! We had the brisket sandwich (a new twist on the steak sandwich), prawn roll and a beef burger for lunch. The hotel has modern decor and would make a great spot for a family dinner or date night! The brisket sandwich is one we'll be going back for, that and the Long Lunch deal which includes a drink!

The food was amazing and the staff were lovely. I was able to book the area that is semi private which is great for families with prams and children. Will definitely be back.

The Atmosphere was great and service was good but the food was a big disappointment we ordered bugs & prawn pasta very dry where was the sauce and also ribs & wings combo the texture of the meat was great but where is the flavour very bland if you don’t drown it in bbq sauce, we used to be regulars quite a bit before covid now I know why we don’t come here that often anymore. But as they say one persons taste differs from others so this is my two cents.

Service and setting exceptional. A shame the food was so disappointing. The parmi’s were not just small, they were ridiculously thin. Well presented but that’s where the quality ended.
Kids meals portions were tiny. Left extremely dissatisfied to the point that we had to stop at Maccas on the way home.
Won’t be back.

Our first and last visit was terrible! I ordered a MW ribeye and got a dried out black chunk of rubber I paid extra for vegetables but there was no extra option to have them cooked so joke is on me! Chips were over cooked and the $2 pots of gravy are not even a tablespoon. I have cooked far better meals in my own kitchen for less than a quarter of what we spent here. Be smart like Tim stay home cook your own yummy food and save your money.

My wife Janelle and myself celebrated our 53rd wedding anniversary on Friday Lunchtime at the PA Hotel Ipswich.
I enjoyed Braised Lamb Shank and Janelle Pork Belly Salad, both meals were absolutely delicious, Finished with Sticky Date Pudding, also GREAT!!
Will be back again soon. Thankyou PA Plantations Restuarant.

My wife and I were not satisfied with the meal and the service at Char'd.
It took forty minutes to get our meal and were dissatisfied with the size of the meal. The price of the meal that we paid for were dissatisfied with the size of quantity of the steak, chips and salad delivered to us. When the staff asked if we were satisfied with our meal we were unhappy with the response from the staff member sighting that cooking our steak could take some time but to take forty minutes to deliver the meal to a paying customer is poor customer relations

I simply love this restaurant, I’ve been a few times already and the experience it’s always lovely. The staff it’s friendly, the place it’s clean, the food always comes fast and it’s delicious! It’s a great place if you like steaks specially since they always know to cook it properly. I’m definitely coming back more times!

Hit and miss, once had a bone in a vegan meal, sick of the chips, they are fun at first but you should be able to order normal hot chips too.
Last visit- Feathery chicken wings. Had to ask 3 times where the desert was. Over an hoir wait and the deep fried Mars bar was cooked differently to usual and wasn't nice.

Had an excellent dinner here recently. Best schnitzel and parmis we've had in a long time (and our parmi eater is FUSSY and said he rated it 5 stars), lamb shank was delicious.

Great service.
Delicious food. Husband loved his eye fillet hot rock. The Barra was so good. Reasonable prices.

Generally very nice. The wait time at the bar was too long, and there were only 3 other people there. It took a while for our drinks to be served and they came out separately.

From the point of view of a tourist, do not go out of your way. Aside from a good selection of beer, there is nothing interesting about this pub. It gets touted as something special but the main quality is that it's big. Food is average at best, service is nothing special, somewhere else might be more interesting

Contactless table order, took 60 minutes to receive meals. Too long.
Had the drinks within 5 minutes of submitting order.
Steak was cooked perfectly.
Chips on both dishes were not salted and no salt on table.
Salad had no dressing and no dressing options available.

Booked a table online for hubby’s birthday, asked for 2 high chairs, high chairs were at the table as we arrived. Wow!!! We are very happy customers. Amazing service and even better food!!! Hands down the most delicious meal we have had in a long long time. Cob loaf was to die for, sooo yummy!!! Hubby ordered the bbq wings and ribs and enjoyed every last bite. Hubby said it was the best part of his birthday. So thank you guys so much!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Just a great experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out! Warm and very welcoming. Service 10/10 thanks team. We’ll be back for sure xx

Atmosphere was great so were the staff
Ordered the chicken schnitzel with a garlic prawn topper…chicken schnitzel was amazing however the garlic prawn topper was a let down it was quite bland and lukewarm.
The menu is very scarce not a lot of options especially with online ordering there is no option to remove any items which is also a let down.
The dessert was amazing and overall was a good time just unfortunate the menu was a bit of a let down.

Absolutely love this restaurant! Never had a bad meal. My meat was a little cool so I asked if it could be reheated a bit, was quite happy with it being reheated but the server came back with another complete meal. Certainly not expecting that, as I said I would've been happy with a reheated meal. Great food and great service.
