We have been a few times and can’t order some things off the menu as they down have them , please change your menu if you don’t have chicken spring rolls don’t have them on the menu. We had hubby had schnitzel and I had calamari the chips were overcooked and my lettuce was slimy won’t be going again

This was our first visit to this pub we were there for a wake. The food was very nice. There is a wonderful outdoor space for families. We were very impressed we will be back when in Bathurst

this place has gone downhill badly. We went as a large group and some of the meals were not fit to be served. The meals were burnt to the state that they could not be consumed.

The food was good and there's a great outdoor area. However, remember that it's a kid friendly venue and this may not suit everyone. It certainly didn't enhance my dinning experience.

Really enjoyed our meals and catch up with family in a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were awsome

Please read the other reviews before coming here. Anyone who’s not from around from here do not be convinced by the large sign as you enter Bathurst. The food is over priced (between $17-$35 for a meal) and whilst it may look appetising it seems to taste like cheap shop bought frozen food that has failed to be cooked properly (eg. cold chips with chicken parmigiana and shop bought bases for pizza). As well as this the people serving rush ones order (this is supposedly a bistro not a fast food chain!) and barely give you a glance. For a large family you could end up spending well over $100 for the most below average food.

Ok so we have lived here nearly 2 yrs and we went to paddy's friday night (west tigers) and Saturday night after the game and even though the place was packed the food and service was fantastic. Definitely 1 of bathurst's best spots to eat

Nice atmosphere, but the food is very hit and miss. The chicken parmi was decent, but the sirloin steak was very disappointing. Poorly cooked, and poor quality meat. It was tough, the fat was unrendered, and it had no flavour.

Lipstick on Pig.. Looks okay from outside, but it's the clientele inside that lower the experience. Food menu is OK, but don't ask for any variations. Eg: chicken caesar salad on menu but would not do Caesar wrap even though other wrap variety is offered.. Also menu is overpriced compared to other hotels in Bathurst..

Had too many bad experiences not to share, tonight they forgot our food (not the first time) so they offered us a free desert, we waited over 30 minutes and when we asked where our desert was they had forgotten that too. You would think we would be a high priority considering they had already forgotten us? But no. Very unorganised. We had our drinks taken off the table when we were all standing and their excuse was is that they were busy and were just trying to clean up at 8pm? Very sour taste and I am very reluctant to go back.

Great pub feed. Servings are large (satisfies hungry teenager size). Very busy during peak periods, service is still good but best to book. Able to handle larger functions as well. Courtesy bus service is very convenient

Dinner was fantastic. The restaurant was busy due to the 12hr race however service was still very friendly and quick. The meals were fresh and super tasty. The little touches like a proper salad with your meal not just a bunch of lettuce on your plate really shows the chef cares about what he is serving. If we're back around Bathurst we will definitely come back here again

Chicken Parmigiana was a processed pressed piece of chicken, not real breast meat, with diced cheap Bacon offcuts. Chips were average. Fish meal was 3 tiny pieces of battered fish. Then we thought we would see if they could redeem themselves with their desserts. Ordered 3 to share, waited 40 minutes to receive a cheesecake which was not nice and clearly bought in from off site, and a chocolate mud which was lukewarm and dry even with the sauce. The third dessert had run out so I had to go up and get a refund only to be given dirty looks by people in the very long line, since I went straight up to the side of the counter for my refund as I didn't want to wait another half hour in line. Won't be back sorry.

A very ordinary experience. The food here is so hit and miss. It's now to the point where is not even worth going. Food came out cold, looked bland and lacking substance. We ordered chicken 🐔 snittys and got hardly any hot chips (which weren't even hot). The size of the snitty was nothing to get excited about either. Only good thing going about this place is the kids playground.

Appalling! Booked a table here for my daughter's birthday a week prior. Showed up on the day, no table available. After they were told of the situation, they split our small party onto two tables. Hardly ideal for a social situation. When meals arrived, which was surprisingly (and unsettlingly) fast. The food was vile. I ordered a roast vegetable salad. The vegetables weren't roasted, they were steamed. The chicken was dry and extremely salty. My father's burger looked like it had been sitting around for a few hours. Won't be coming here again any time soon.

3 people ordered roadt of the day. A large serve and meat was tender with a good variety of tasty veges. Downside was the noise from the kitchen staff talking so loud we could hear every word, including the salty language of one of the female staff. Tables close to us were also commenting on this. It was hard to have a conversation with my companions at the table.

$22 for a chicken snitchzel that is the smallest portion size, chips overcooked and processed snitchzel. $2 extra for gravy not even included, the garlic cheese pizza was $16 and as you can tell from the photo was barely covered and dry. $73 dollars for some of the worst dinner I’ve ever had, I’ve given this place a try a few times now and won’t be back
