Yesterday enjoyed a great afternoon with friends , the meals were great as well as the staff. Unfortunately only had one staff member making cocktails so it was a bit of a wait, but she did a fantastic job. Unfortunately one of the group had his phone stolen by a customer in the pokie section. Otherwise a great venue

We went to this pub to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had a great time. Food was great, service was great and the drinks were great. And everything was reasonably priced. Definitely recommended are the pork and steak. It should be noted that the location of the bistro is well away from gambling.

We visited the Padstow Hotel for the night while coming through Sydney. At first we weren’t sure where to go for accommodation. We were greeted by a STRIPPER in high heels and very revealing lingerie (pretty much just underwear and bra). We were passed around by several staff members until somebody finally helped us with accommodation.
The accommodation itself was in a good location, right by the train station and several restaurants. Meanwhile the loud yelling of drunk men and women from downstairs as well as beside us in rooms, was quite loud, hard to sleep with such noise. As well as the reek of weed that was lingering.
The showers were communal, and quite frankly i’m disappointed in the state of them. Towels left everywhere and people had left belongings everywhere as well. My partner was given an open shampoo container with barely anything in it.
Very disappointed with our stay.

Went to get dinner and play pokies with my friend when i was confronted by a security guard with an attitude problem. Tried to carry in a small fold up electric scooter i use to get too and from the station, but i was told i have to leave it outside. I tried to explain its expensive and its how i get to work and asked if i can leave it somewhere thats safe not where someone can easily steal it outside. I also asked if i can leave it on my lap so it doesnt touch the floor he just kept pointing outside cutting me off saying no no no. I called management to see what they have to say about it and she explained its against policy etc but surely anyone with a brain could see i just want a safe place to leave my scooter while i spend money in your establishment, just find a store room or make a concession for an hour, do something if you are in the business of customer service. The manager was polite unlike the security guard, but she didnt do anything to make me want to come back and was more interested in telling me their policy than trying to keep a customer, but its not really her fault she wasnt there. I used to watch every ufc here and before i lost my licence id come here every couple weeks after work to play pokies or grab a bite to eat. Now im on a scooter every day to and from the station i need to go past every day but I wont ever be back again. They are very friendly when they are taking your money but the first time i need a bit of accomodation im treated like garbage. I suggest trying to find a solution for a loyal patron, not push them away the first chance you get. Atleast teach security some manners i wasnt causing any problems no need to give me attitude and cut me off when i try to speak. Not a good business model treating any customers rudely let alone the loyal ones. Anyway ive said enough ill take my money elsewhere from now on, dont worry you wont have to worry about my scooter or me ever again.

Unfortunately, my experience was terrible, room was dirty, and very simple nothing even similar to what you see in pictures, staff in the pub was cranky so that's terrible for customers to deal with, there is not private toilets and shower just sharing with all the rooms, the entry of the accommodation is seriously bad and smelly, place is very old I do not recommend this place at all.

This review relates to the accomodation as a Hotel, rather than the bar or restaurant.
A review is a measure of how the expectation a person has aligns to reality.
If this facility was advertisied as a hostel I would give it a 5/5. The room was clean. The communal shower and kitchen were clean and in good shape. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was warm.
However it is advertisied as a Hotel. The room had no water facilities. No basin, no toilet, and no shower. No jug. Everything is communal. Don't even think about room service.
The room only contains a bed, a TV and a fridge.
Being above a bar and next to a busy road, you can't expect a quiet room.
So because of my expectation of what a Hotel should offer versus the reality I found, I can only offer a 1 star rating.

The food and service is quite good, albeit, you collect your own meal from kitchen, but there's quiet places to sit outside, I hate rowdy places, like to chat in peace

Some meals were extremely over priced and hard to know what is a decent value meal. 2 in our group ordered a "Platter" which was basically a large plate of chips with brisket that was almost as much bone as meat. Some of the other meals our group ordered were much better value. If you want to pay $72 for a plate of chips order the euphamistically named large plate they call a "Platter".
The inconsistency of price and value probably decided it for us to not return and we'll travel further next time

Rooms are over priced,shared amenities, single small room $400 per week long turm. a/c very poor quality. Daily 2pm till 10pm very noisy from the smoking area public bar directly beneath the accommodation area. No in room facilities whatsoever . The shared amenities are not vented to the outside so it's basically a sauna steam room. Quite uncomfortable if using the toilets while other's are showering. The bistro is the only thing going for it. Basically below price standard's.

Not really impressed I can’t have a beer with my dog, the whole outside alleyway was free and in these times why would you not want to make money? So much space, no want for good customer service. Probably won’t be going back…

Meals are always delicious. Drink prices are reasonable. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

Like stepping back in time. Front bar was reminiscent of years gone by when grand dad took me down the local for a lemon squash and a bet. Food was good and inexpensive. Service excellent. Beer range limited...no stout on tap or in bottles! Recommend as a friendly no frills old world pub...long may they remain!

Just had the best meal we have had in a long time - food out of this world - steaks cooked to perfection - juicy tender melt i your mouth - even vegetables amazing - so good we asked to see the chef - Andrea the chef is talented

Just flew in from Perth visiting a friend in the area and we were hungry so went to the padstow park hotel. By the time we got there lunch was all but over HOWEVER staff member Xanthe had amazing patience giving me directions to get to your venu Nora that served us was very helpful so polite as for the food is was just lovely needless to say VERY IMPRESSED all because of these Staff members working there so a big thanks from Perth😁😁

It's far from good, more like a ranky Dank bottles on WA than a pub in a Sydney. Service is great but the place is worse than Penrith for what's provided. Lucky to get a star if I'm honest

If I could give this place a negative review, I would. I would rather have gone to AMPOL and bought a Four n Twenty Pie that has been sitting there for 2 days than eat at this place again. I honestly would rather eat MREs
The bistro section of this hotel is absolutely trash. They were previously pretty good. I'm not sure if it is a change in staff or what but is absolutely garbage now as of 07/2023
The orders:
1. Scotch Fillet Steak, cooked to medium rare. Steak was cooked rare. The fries/chips that came with the steak tasted like I had gargled my mouth with the dead sea. I think I was suffering from severe dehydration after eating about 3 chips. You might need to serve this dish up with a complementary bottle of water as it is a health hazard.
2. Lamb Shank on the special menu. The sauce on the dish was poured over the lamb shank was cold as the morgue, which in turn made everything on the dish cold. Cold rice, cold lamb shank. The fried onions that came on the dish felt like i was eating staedtler plastic eraser from office work.
The lamb shank was previously 36$ for (2pcs) and now it is $27 for (1pcs). However the rice portion of the dish remained the same. So it was 1pc of lamb shank with 3 kilos of rice.
3. Chocolate, Hazelnut souffle with strawberries and ice cream. Should be renamed chocolate muffin hazelnut filling with a tablespoon of ice cream and 1/2 strawberry. I don't know if anyone has ever had souffle before but that was not it. It was a muffin that was zapped in a microwave for 30 seconds. The item was with "strawberries". More like with 1/2 of a strawberry and that is being generous.
They might as well have pointed a gun at me and robbed me of $150.

I dont usually review much these days but this place popped up in my recommended and i just got to say!! Last time I went there with my family, the young female waiter was very rude!! And she was dressed and acting quite inappropriately for a respectable dining space!! If she wanted to wear little bum shorts, she might as well work in an establishment!! Not appropriate around children and family!! She snapped at me when I didn't hear what she said the first time and rolled her eyes when I told her she has bad manners!!

Highly recommend the food and also their midweek trivia night at Padstow Park! Last night was our first time at trivia and though we were hesitant at the start, we jumped in at the last minute and boy was it a lot of fun! The food - I'm unsure how they're dishing out plate after plate of deliciousness - definitely recommend trying chicken tenders, Mexican schnitzel, fries, and everything else they have on offer! With fun staff, a hardworking chef dishing out all the deliciousness there is and a great vibe, we will definitely be coming back for more!

Hi everyone I wanted to let you all know that I was diagnosed a parasite in my body that i was sick for 5 days from the prawns spaghetti that I ate last on Good Friday night. Who ever cooked those prawns had caused me food poisoning and bad painful pains in my abdominal area. These parasites can live in raw foods and water. Please let the cooks and chef know as I do not want anyone to have these painful experience. Especially, not in the long weekend. Overall I had a good night with family but never in my life I would have this issue. Thank you.

Had dinner here tonight and was blown away as per usual. Great food and friendly staff!
We asked for some small alterations for our baby and the chef was happy to accomodate.

Great atmosphere! Got in at 6pm before the dinner rush.
Enjoyed the food. Only thing I hoped for was maybe some more variety on the menu!

Finally got a chance to try the bistro out tonight. Steaks were very good, my son enjoyed his souvlaki meal & my daughter absolutely loved the nachos. Well done to all the staff at this great venue.

As a coeliac, I ordered and told the girl at Bistro I was gluten-free and needed my meal as labelled on the menu gluten-free. Luckily, I checked when picking up as she had not written these instructions and said she assumed it was as it said so on the menu. Chef made me a new meal thankfully

Always a great meal at the Padstow Park Hotel and tonight was no different. We ate outside in the Garden area where it was quiet, dry and warm.
We both had good sized meals of crispy pork belly with a delectable sauce and fresh vegetables.
Great service from all the Bistro and Bar staff. Each of them very good natured and very professional.
By the by you can't beat their mid week lunch specials either.
Just a good pub atmosphere.
