Relaxed budget hotel offering rooms with shared baths, plus a modern eatery & bar on premise. Off the Gold Coast Highway a 2-minute walk from Palm Beach, this low-key budget hotel is 3 km from the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and 4 km from the oceanfront Burleigh Head National Park. The straightforward rooms, some with balconies, have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs and shared bathrooms. Dorm rooms come with bunk beds. Apartments offer sofabeds, kitchens and en-suite bathrooms. Amenities include a casual bistro, a casino and a sports bar, as well as a kids' play area. There are also laundry facilities and a communal lounge.

We were in the area and decided to pop into the palm beach hotel for lunch. We were greeted by lovely Ash at the bar who told us what the specials were and also gave us some recommendations. She was bubbly and friendly and made for a great atmosphere!

We fancied a quick lunch. Ordered Nachos to share with added fresh chillies. Perfect choice and washed it down with a beer each.

Very disrespectful and lack of understanding and courtesy experienced by people with trained and accredited mind dog.
My friend had a room booked to accommodate his mind dog as well, while he was looking after his elderly mother suffering from cancer.
Everything had been acknowledged and confirmed prior to his arrival.
Though arrangements had been made and confirmed, upon arrival he was point blank refused entry by a very inhospitable and downright rude and insulting staff member named Liv, and it was only several torturous hours later and after a member of the NDIS assisted him, that he was granted access to the room he had paid for.
Not the experience one would hope for, especially in times of suffering looking after a terminally sick parent.
Shocking really that this kind of behaviour still exists.
The ignorance of staff and management regarding legislation does not befit a place of this calibre.

Unbearable wet and mouldy smell in multiple rooms.
I have stayed here about a year ago and was fine, so booked again. Unfortunately the first room we (2ppl) were given had an unbearable smell of wet and mould.
We asked for another room and the next was the same, heavy heavy smell of wet and mould. Unfortunately there wasn’t any other rooms available and we woke up after a night of broken sleep with sore throats from breathing it in all night.
Management, please fix this MAJOR health problem with your hotel.

This really is a absolute hidden gem!
With every step from my call with Matt Events Manager to my mater arrival after a very long day travelling with the most superb service & warm greeting from Viv the Manager right through to the following day with lovely Tamara, I can honestly say that as a business coach of many years I believe that the service of any business from staff is the most crucial of the success of any business. This establishment is just outstanding in that regard. But it also flows through to the whole experience with the cleanliness, the hygiene standards, space, luxury bathrooms, & my single room was perfect & so very peaceful which I really appreciated.
Included is all the little special extras for guests with tea & coffee, cold water & also fridge space for all.
I grew up with beautiful Palm Beach as our family holiday hot spot with our beach house here close by so I love coming home when I am able.
This will certainly be my personal go to sleepover any time for business or for pleasure.
I highly recommend to all.
My sincere thanks to all for your wonderful hospitality. What a team! 😊

The room was clean and tidy, loved the big window that let the sun in, bathrooms were very nice and updated. We even could see a slice of the ocean from our window. The location is perfect with Coles next door and a bunch of different restaurants within walking distance. even though on a main road it was not noisy at night. Overall would 100% recommend this place to stay when visiting the Gold Coast.

The area's amazing,near public transport shops & restaurants. The rooms are clean & comfortable -very affordable too!! Can't fault the Palm Beach hotel:they offer a restaurant & bistro/pub too. It's not far from the airport either so if you're travelling it's 1 short bus ride away on "the express" which is less than a taxi & a regular service so it's possibly easier to cross the road instead of catching a cab.

If you want poor quality hygiene, cockroach in your bag, backpacker style standard do not bring your family here. The only saviour was the staff who are clearly overworked but friendly and lovely. The carpets were filthy and stunk. Over 4 nights and 5 days not once was our room cleaned and rubbish cleared.

I ecommend this place for those seeking affordable accommodation. The well-maintained rooms with amenities like a fridge, TV, and dining table make it budget-friendly. Conveniently located near restaurants and coffee shops, it's also close to the beach. Complimentary water, coffee, and tea are provided, and there's a vending machine available. Despite shared washrooms and shower rooms, they are clean, and the toiletries provided are excellent. However, be mindful of security, as there are no peepholes in the doors, and there is no reception staff for immediate assistance.

I booked ahead and made it aware that I was coming from Sydney to see Mum who has cancer. I explained it would be regular trips and I have an assistance dog with me. Upon arrival I was confronted by an arrogant, smart attitude, un educated pathetic woman by the name of Liv. Fortunately I also met a lovely lady in the hotel who happened to work for the NDIS. After Liv was shown a copy of the legislation and told she is not allowed to refuse assistance dogs, she began to give me even more attitude and calling me darling. As a hotel manager it is her responsibility to know the law. She was firmly breaking the law. The following morning I took the matter up with the licensee and manager and they tried to tell me that minddog Australia are not recognised in Queensland. I called in the cavalry where it was explained to them that it falls under federal law disability discrimination Act not state government. After sleeping there two nights I am covered in bites and welts from the bed bugs. I am pursuing the matter thru the human rights Commission.

Great venue for drinks and food, cocktails were amazing. The service from Kylene was fantastic, pours a good beer and makes an awesome cocktail 😊

Great spot with plenty of eateries around including downstairs in the pub. The shared bathroom facilities meant some interesting actions/activities seen with not much personal discretion. ‘Shared bathroom’ doesn’t actually mean unisex facilities but that meaning is lost on some visitors. Room smelt a little musty - maybe the air conditioner was making the carpet seem moist. Otherwise, room size, fridge, hand basin, Air conditioner temperature and bed/bedding were all very good.

Exactly as advertised. Clean, comfortable, freshly renovated, and, most importantly given that it's over a pub, quiet.
Would happily stay again for a quick overnight where all that is needed is a bed to sleep, a shower, and morning coffee.

Definitely making "I Love Lucy" T shirts! Great customer service, ditch table flower arrangements please (didn't improve after 2 Margherita's)! Cruisy atmosphere. Staff really did make our time enjoyable. Thank you 🙂

Definitely good value for money, hotel was lovely and clean. The shared facilities were really modern and clean too! Will definitely come back next time we’re in GC. |Nice to have coffee in the reception area too, with take away cups so we could take it on our journey. ||Checked in around 2am and all staff were super friendly and helpful

Close to the beach, but definitely not a nice location. Place is very loud in the morning and the pokies and bar downstairs attracts shady people. Room was very smelly when we arrived, made me feel nauseous. We only booked one night and I would not come back.

Booked last minute for 3 nights. It's exactly what I was hoping for for the price point. Rooms are clean and tidy, shared bathrooms were also quite clean. Reasonable air conditioning, good wifi, TV and close to the beach. It's not the Ritz but for what I paid it was more than adequate

Being a local in Palmy for 15years, it's unfortunate that the Palm Beach Hotel doesn't have more to offer! It defiantly lacks atmosphere!! Some live music every now and then would be nice, bar snacks offered to gaming room, and I'm not talking about a pkt of crisps or pop corn, people are spending a lot in there! Bring back the games or Jag the Joker or Mandy! A staff member that had a personality and actually interacted with the patrons! It's lost its spark it once had. It all comes down to Management and staff at the end of the day. Just sayin!

Awesome venue! Great staff.
I generally go here after work on weekdays and am never disappointed. Very clean and not too busy. The free parking is perfect since it can be a struggle finding long term parking in Palm Beach. Whatever game you’re into they are more than happy to change the channels to accommodate your sports fix.
10/10 for palm beach locals.
