We met a local friend here and had a very pleasant lunch. The food was good and the staff were excellent

We had dinner here twice whilst in Darwin. Very friendly service and quality food. We have to thank Tana for her personalised experience whilst dining. Highly recommend.

We had dinner here on Monday 22nd April and we thoroughly enjoyed it! The service given to our families from both Sarah and Acacia (I hope I spelt that right) was amazing and they even made sure that our kids were enjoying themselves. The food was great and our overall experience was fantastic!
This was our first time at this establishment and after our experience tonight, we will definitely be back.

We had 2 Amazing waitresses when we decided to go to Palmerston Tavern. The food was amazing, the feeling of the tavern was really relaxed and service was great! Highly recommend!

This place is great for day drinking in the beer garden bar. You can watch everything from sports to horse racing and the staff are amazing also delicious food. We tried the prawn and ginger dumplings and veggie spring rolls so DELICIOUS and fresh.

The food was so good. I had the pork ribs, they were very well cooked and falling off the bones. We also had the fried chicken burger and lamb cutlets which were both also very good. Portion sizes were large and couldn’t finish my meal

Planned to go to the nook for lunch, thinking it was a fancy cafe which would be better than a 'pub meal'. They apparently closed at 12.30, so we dodged a bullet there (looks dingy) & ended up at the Palmerston tavern.
The Palmerston tavern looks inviting, cozy, clean and fresh. Great decor in the dining area & even an enclosed kids playground. Balcony space was perfect for my last day in darwin to soak up the sunshine. The restaurant was also lovely and cool on the inside for those who preferred it.
The staff were faultless. Friendly, informative re: lunch & senior specials. Patient while we asked about beverages. Great value meals at full price & for seniors, but also $14.00 lunch specials!
Good value drink prices. The food came out quickly, but not so fast that we didn't have time to chat. No doubt they could accommodate quick meals in lunch breaks. They also catered well for gluten-free & dairy free patrons.
I wanted to try barramundi in darwin & this wild caught one was divine, with a crispy macadamia crusted skin. Wraps were great too. The manager even came over to check that we were happy with our meals. Could not have been a better experience or meal. Amazing value, service and quality. I highly recommend this restaurant for lunch. Much better than a cafe & definitely not just 'pub food'. Thanks to the chef & staff for making it a great day.
When in Palmerston, the Tav is a must do! 👌

Not all that impressed with the food or cocktail. Whilst the Steak was perfectly cooked it was also cold. The lobster was delicious but could have been freed from it's shell again cold with a beautiful butter that could not melt. My Bloody Mary was, to say the least awful. More water than Tomato Juice. Could do better Team. Paul x

New staff at the Palmerston tavern very unfriendly & bossy, New manageress respond to customers like we are there for free food and drinks...mangeress need more customer service training when u compare with beach front tavern at Rapid Creek.
If the staff try to be rude or bossy next time, I will not hesitate to have a chat with AHL area manager about the poor service receiving..

Lunch was sooooo, yummy. Steak,chips and salad special for lunch. 3rd time we returned for the lunch special. Everytime cooked to perfection 🥰.

Highl recommended for a great pub feed.
Personal recommendation would be the cheesy bacon garlic bread!
The parmi is probably the best in the NT (so far)
Although the food and staff/service are amazing, the atmosphere can sometimes be a bit loud due to overally boisterous patrons. But besides that's its definitely still a 10/10 in my books.

Great atmosphere, service and super kind staff! it definitely won’t be our last. Steak was cooked ok Tuesday night is a Steak as well however it didn’t matter because the two people looking after us was so amazing!!!

Even got our kids to eat their dinner 😝 Great place for a nice dinner or even lunch, thank you to the amazing Sarah and Acacia (sorry if I spelt that wrong ) that served us tonight- you made it amazing for us and our kids.

Good food at reasonable prices. There is a BWS Drive Thru liquor service also available at the rear.
Offering a large dining area with indoor playground for children.
A smoking area is available outside, next to the drive thru entrance.

Food here was fantastic. Great quality chicken schnitzel. Chips were good but the gravy was the best part. If you love schnitzels like me you'll be glad to come here. Huge range of schnitties to choose from. Sports bar can get loud but has a good overall atmosphere. Family friendly venue with events held almost every day.

Food has been extremely amazing along with service too. Went there for lunch and ordered fish and chips which was fresh and tasty. Highly recommended.

Celebrating my brothers 21st birthday at Palmerston Tavern was an absolute delight! The atmosphere was vibrant, the food was exceptional, and the customer service was top-notch. What truly set this experience apart was their thoughtful provision of a play area for the kids, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy themselves fully. From delicious dishes to attentive staff, Palmerston Tavern made my special day truly memorable. Highly recommend for any occasion!

A nice down to earth pub with pokies, good outdoor area with a large screen and a good food menu. I have always enjoyed the specials and find the selection of beer to be at a good standard. Will go again

Absolutely enjoyed my lunch there today. Fresh and fantastic food and awesome customer service. Definitely recommend for a Sunday afternoon session.

45minute wait on a Friday night was reasonable given the number of other meals that came out during that time, however, we were given the incorrect meal (Palin schnitzel instead of meat lovers parma). Meal was cold when it was served again 15mins later and wasn't at all enjoyable.
It is worth noting that the "mini" parma/schnitzel is a tenderloin, as pictured.
The added wait gave plenty of time to look around and observe how disgustingly dirty the ceiling is. The light covers are full of dead insects. The indoor plants, located right next to tables, are covered in dust.
Most staff where friendly and service was otherwise ok, however, one lady was a little blunt when showing us to the table.
