About Peppermill Inn
Unassuming rooms, some with whirlpool tubs, in a casual hotel featuring a bistro & an outdoor pool. Set off the A39 Highway, this informal, red-brick hotel is 5 km from both the Shepparton Art Museum and Goulburn Valley. Functional rooms featuring exposed-brick walls offer free Wi-Fi, minifridges, and tea and coffeemaking facilities. Upgraded rooms come with flat-screen TVs, pool views and whirlpool tubs. Room service is available for a fee. Amenities include a relaxed bistro with a casual bar, plus a seasonal pool with an outdoor seating area, as well as a kids' play area and a game room. We were staying in Shepparton on the weekend and were looking for a pub to watch the afl. After trying 6 pubs who all had tech issues and could show Foxtel we ended up here. Staff were very accomodating and put the game on and even put it on the big screen with sound which was great.
Has a great kids area and we stayed and had a great dinner. Huge serves of food which was all good. If we ever are in town again we will be returning.

We spent several nights at this motel after a car problem. The whole team was exceptional, especially Leah. A love ! The motel was very clean, the restaurant good, the facilities impeccable. I 100% recommend this motel, I would come back with great pleasure when I pass through Shepparton! Thank you and see you soon

Went here for dinner and wow! Huge range of meal choices and big servings. Well priced. Delicious as well.
Spacious with lots of places to sit and a huge kids room with plenty of things to keep them entertained.
Will definitely return next time I'm in Shep.

Was a great stay, only ruined by a group of ferals who were extremely loud until nearly midnight, as well as smoking outside my unit and the smell came in, coughing like they were dying in the morning was the topper
The unit was clean and spacious
The accessible bathroom was fantastic, with comfortable shower chair, was best shower I've had in a long time,
Staff lovely
Room service a bonus

Visited here tonight & didn’t have the greatest experience. We ordered a Chicken Avo salad which was dry and the Chicken was hard, burnt & WELL overcooked. Avocado wasn’t even ripe and was still hard. Also ordered the Pork cutlet with Plum sauce which drowned everything on the plate with a disgusting overbearing sour flavour. The pork was hard and still pink. Then we ordered Lamb Shanks which were small and too Salty. We also ordered 2 bowls of Chips which were given to us COLD with COLD gravy. Service was fine but the food was disgusting and ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING. Will never eat here again. The Chefs here might need a new career.

Took the 100+ father in law and his 93yr old friend to Peppermill last Monday. Good quiet seating location for folk whose hearing is not so good. The staff and customer service was great and the menu extensive and reasonably priced. We had a great time. Thanks Peppermill...

Went for dinner. First time in a long time. Value for money: 10/10
Food quality: 10/10
Serve size 12/10 (huge)
Staff: At restaurant ordering section 10/10 (wish we knew the lady's name so we could give her a boquet).
At bar: 4/10... young, curt and disinterested... but the interaction was brief. Still, it's the small things.
Overall, highly recommended for business, couples and families (huge indoor kids area).

Reception staff were pleasant offering an easy check in. Parking was available right outside the bottom level room. Far enough from the highway so traffic noise was not a problem. Room was very clean and modern...looking like it may have been recently renovated. Air Conditioning worked well for the little bit of heating it was used for and was quiet. Block out blinds allowed a sleep in. The room consisted of a comfortable queen bed, a sofa, and table and chair. A small kitchenette offered a bar fridge, coffee pod machine, Toaster & kettle and a microwave. Mini bar items available for purchase in the fridge. Tea coffee and biscuits supplied as well as toiletries in the bathroom. The bathroom was a good size and very nice. The water pressure was excellent. Being quite tired, I made use of room service for dinner instead of eating in the bistro just across the driveway. I ordered and it was delivered quite quickly. A good night's sleep was had and I would certainly consider staying here again.

Ordered a porterhouse steak in medium. I was expecting a tender pink meat but received a chewy meat. Considering the price, i tried to eat it hoping that tender bit is in the middle. When I asked whether this is what a medium steak is, the manager said that it is and that medium is grey and I should have ordered a medium rare. 🤷

It is a lovely place for a family Christmas get-together. The food was really nice, good variety, and at a reasonable price. We stayed for 4 hours, and the staff didn't want us out earlier. Great indoor and outdoor areas and ideal for families with young children, too.

I stayed here for a wedding and customer service from the staff, especially Leah was amazing! She was so friendly, nice and offered to drop us off to the wedding venue. Highly recommended and so impressed. Thanks for a lovely stay Peppermill and Leah.

I have attended this venue on many occasions over the years normally pretty good meals and friendly staff.
Unfortunately on my last visit 01/12/23
We experienced the worst service and food we have ever had.
Staff did not clear tables in a timely manner lots of empty glasses and our meals were terrible pizza undercooked and barely warm enough and other meals arrived cold!! When this was mentioned to the staff member clearing our table she really didn't acknowledge our concerns.
We won't be back.

Had to book a place last minute as my son and I couldn't get to where we were going due to flooding. Great choice. Comfy beds, and attached to it a good restaurant. Friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Had a great stay extremely satisfied such a well looked after establishment so clean and modern the staff were all so friendly they went above and beyond- and the food was unbelievable especially the Bruschetta highly recommend 👍😀Thanks to all 🤝

Had a great Saturday night out with my partner, we are locals and we both really enjoyed our meals, great options on a variety of meals and they were so huge!
I had a chicken parmagana, which is pictured, service was very good and friendly, plenty of options for seating inside or outdoors undercover or out in the open.
Looking for a great night out and awesome meal this is the place to go.

Great pub, heaps of sitting area. They were doing a roaring trade on a Saturday night and I was very impressed our food came out quickly.
They were also able to accommodate a group booking ✔️
Not many veggie options, but made do with bruschetta and chips!

Girl are at the main bar being lazy and reluctant to give change for the pool table. Wanted to rip apart betting papers more than anything in the world 🤪.

From the first phone call to make a motel booking to the second call arranging an early check in, Leah and the team at PepperMill have been not just hospitable and accommodating but down right friendly. The family vibe resonated with us and then came the offer to pick us up from the Shepparton airstrip when we landed “just give me a call when you touch down”. That sort of old fashioned service is hard to find these days.
We’ll be back for sure!! The rooms were lovely, clean, freshly renovated and even the cleaners were supremely friendly.
Can’t rate this venue more highly.

First visit, was great meals, seniors was a nice plate of pork roast at a reasonable price!

Dissapointing experience. Have eaten here before and food and service had been fine. Not so this time. Wife and I both had the porterhouse steak, asked for medium and it came out well done to the point of being dry and tough. Service wise, staff seemed disorganised and lacking awareness.

Bistro on Sat night. Suggest the kitchen moves with the times and offer dietary choices. The only vegetarian dish offered is a pizza. One of our party (4) asked for a Chicken schnitzel and salad without the schnitzel only to be told that it would still cost $26. The meal was shared with another who had a bowl of chips. This is Hospitality Industry, get with the program. P.S. The salad ,if you could call it that would have cost no more the $2.

After a hard day following a car problem we went to the Peppermill Motel, we were welcomed by an incredibly kind team, especially Leah who helped us a lot to find solutions to our problem.
The room was really clean and the place was really cool, I recommend 100%.

16/03/2024: Went to have a cold beer and watch the football in the back bar, one bar tender (younger guy) was only interested in serving the regulars and the other bartender (older man) had absolutely no customer service what so ever, he was bloody grumpy, oh except for when serving the regulars. The lady bartender on the other hand was wonderful with a great attitude.
