Won’t be back. Asked to move to table inside because it was too windy. Ordered meal through app at table inside. 30 minutes later went and asked how long it would be. Was asked where we sat initially and she checked the dockets, walked out to our original table where they’d left our meals and brought them in to me at the counter. I advised it wasn’t all there. The response was ‘yes it is. This is all you ordered.’ I said ‘no it’s not.’ Response ‘well what else did you order?’ I said ‘the Parma chicken on special.’ She said that wasn’t ordered. I said it was. She advised I’d have to show her our receipt so I pulled out my phone and showed her and she said she’d get it put on for us. When she returned with it she apologised and said we could have a free drink when we wanted it. After the meal my husband asked another staff member if we could have our free drink. Her response was ‘oh we don’t normally offer that. Who told you that you could have a free drink?’ We pointed the lady out and were brought our drink. I ordered the brownie dessert which is meant to come (according to the pic and description on the menu app) with choc sauce, strawberry, cream and ice cream. I got a brownie in the middle of a side plate with some choc sauce and a small dob of cream - no ice cream and no strawberry! Very disappointing. It used to be great food and great service.

Without doubt the best pub experience in Gympie. Stylishly renovated, great atmosphere, BWS outlet attached, Parking and a good vibe from friendly and happy staff. Totally recommend. Hope to dine before moving on.

We had pork belly and the spicy prawns for entries. Will definitely be going back there again.
Was very busy.
But the woman was able to fit us in excellent service.💯

We asked local friends to take us to the best pub in Gympie, and they aptly chose the Phoenix 🏠
Plenty of off street parking with stairs and a ramp to access the restaurant & bars
Table layout was great, with plenty of room to sit comfortably. Outdoor terrace dining as well as indoor and lounge seating, so a place for every occasion 🎉
There is an option to order meals & drinks from your table using a QR code, or you can order meals at the register and drinks from either of two adjacent bars 🍺
One of the bars features a great cocktail list with most fancy drinks being excellent value around $14 🍹
We ordered a medium 300g rib fillet steak with prawn topper and a serve of chicken satays & rice. Both meals were served promptly, presented perfectly and tasted great 😋 These were washed down with a couple of awesome craft tap beers 🍺
Followed up with lime cheesecake & coffees, also excellent 💯
I note there have recently been a couple of poor reviews for this venue, but our experience was nothing short of exemplary 🏆

Very happy they were all booked up today, went down the road had better food and cheaper , when a regular comes in sit them down , the reserved seats might fall through, cash in the hand is better than a possible maybe

This has been our favourite spot for awhile. However, we came in for dinner on Saturday. Food was delicious, as always but very noticeable smaller meals for the same price.

The staff are great and helpful. The food is always delicious. All staff pitch in an help each other. Karen and Crystal are fantastic

The food was gross. Extremely disappointed. Ordered the”special” $36 steak medium rare - it was as thin as sizzle steak and obviously over cooked & disgusting. It also came with a fried egg that I didn’t order? I went to complain because this obviously was not what I ordered- and the two young wait staff had no idea how to handle the situation both walking around like headless cooks looking for the manager who wasn’t anywhere to be seen and left me stand there waiting for almost 10mins while they did anything but assist me. I got my money back and watched the rest of the table regret not doing the same. Some flavourless Gnocchi taste like a frozen meal, Pizza wasn’t cut, $40 rib eye all cooked well done when asked for Medium rare. This place is an embarrassment.

My partner and I go here often, always decent food. Table service is NON existent now, have to order through a QR code and can't customise meals etc. Very annoying. And tonight DAMN our table was sticky!

Mum and I had lunch out on the deck. It's a lovely spot with a nice view. The deck is fully covered with clear pvc blinds so would be good in all weather. We were there on a cool but fine day so everything was opened up. We sat near the edge to get a little bit of sun. It was a lovely spot.
Mum had the chicken schnitzel and was very happy with it. I had the Tuscan chicken pasta, which was absolutely delicious!

Lachlan is the best bartender he makes going to the Phoenix a wonderful experience. He has great customer service skills, friendly and makes the best cocktails. Your team is lucky to have such great staff. Highly recommend!

Just had the best steak I have ever eaten. Great flavour, tender and cooked as I requested. Thanks to the kitchen staff for a great lunch. Brilliant service from Holly💗 will be back.

I had the fish and chips. Was pretty oily. A work colleague had a salad as a main, had no dressing. Edible but not the best.

Had the best time here, at Christmas 🎄 plenty of gorgeous food, great selection. Even seafood oysters too, my favourite. And I've never seen so many desert options, the cakes and puddings all looked so delicious l didn't know which one to choose. Great atmosphere, Santa gives out a gift to the children. The staff are so friendly and willing to help in any way. You must book ahead for this.
If your interested in a nice place to have a drink and a meal, this place is my favourite. Food is always amazing. 👌 l highly recommend it.

Got a ceaser salad and can’t believe it said pay $6 to add salt and pepper squid. Came with 4 small fish finger pieces on top.
The people were nice but the meal was a let down.

Good food, happy with all dishes. Very generous portions. Fish Gumbo was particularly good. Kids dishes nice as well, so big that small kids could share a meal. All prices fair. Seating comfortable, its a Pub restaurant, so not fancy but its really ok and nice for families. Lots of parking available. Wheelchair ramp in place. Next to bottle shop. Friendly service.

Discovered this fantastic venue about 8 weeks ago & it's now our official favourite place in Gympie. Our first contact was with a lovely server - Dakota - who, on our next visit remembered us AND what we'd ordered! Tonight we had the pleasure of dealing with Shamtaya (apologies if incorrect) who was facing a huge queue of customers, but handled it with great aplomb. Then there's Bonnie. Met on our first visit, gave us a great laugh, and ensured that we were notified when our meals were up.
Tonight I met Willow, the Boss. Like the rest of the team (and it IS a cohesive team here), she was delightful to deal with. I'd also like to give a shout out to kitchen crew for the seriously good meals they're pumping out of that spotless kitchen. Well done!
Anyway, I really can't recommend the Phoenix highly enough. Prices are fair, drinks are good, food is fantastic & the atmosphere is friendly. Do yourself a favour!

Did not have lunch there, but popped in for a few beers with some friends.
Service was excellent. No waiting at a busy time.
Atmosphere was great, made so by fairly recent renovations.
Clean restrooms and nice outlook from most public areas.

Bar staff great, couldn't swing a cat in the toilets, there were chairs sitting outside toilets can imagine what it be like on a fri sat night, met some nice patrons there friendly place, edited out some of my comments because I was wrong. No stars for food didn't get a chance, couldn't get my mate away from pokies.modern gaming room.
