We went for dinner after a family function, and it was great except for the fact that there was an incessant banging coming from the kitchen. We figured the chef was making schnitzels or something, but maybe just not during dinner service? The food was good. And it wasn't too busy.

We had beautiful Roast Pork and Baked Vegie meals for lunch. Craig our server was absolutely Amazing. He is a real credit to the Pinsent. We will definitely be back.

Travelling through Wangaratta and stopped at this hotel for dinner.
The customer service staff were wonderful, welcoming, knowledgeable and happy.
Two members of our group ordered the steak and were very impressed with the quality of the meal.
I certainly would recommend this hotel to others. Thanks for a lovely experience

This is a review on the restaurant. The Pincent has been my favourite place to eat for almost my entire life, up until the last few times I've been. The food is overcooked, bland and just downright disappointing. The service from the staff is still amazing, and are always so happy taking care of you, but whatever is going on in the kitchen needs to change. I recently took my long distance partner there and I left feeling so embarrassed for doing so. I had hyped up The Pincent for so long and to go there and receive food that neither of us wanted to finish was so sad. My birthday is coming up and usually I would beg my entire family to come out for dinner at The Pincent but this year I'm left wondering what to do.
Honestly, the service from the staff is great but it's not enough to make me want to go back and eat downright bad food. I'm sorry Pincent, but you've lost a loyal customer.

The wait staff and chefs created a gorgeous meal for me that was low carb/no sugar as I’m a lifestyle-controlled diabetic. As requested, they were about the turn the chicken fungi pasta sauce into a delicious broccoli, cauli and chicken fungi sauce dish.
Excellent flavour, richness and service.

The food is great. Parma is delish
Service is a bit slow considering all the staff on the floor. Drink waited on the bar for a while. Waited 15 min for someone to come take your dessert order. Gave up and left.

Scott and Ashlea were both very accomodating and helpful. Both were excellent and deserve a raise for their terrific customer service.

Rooms are basic but comfortable, good working accommodation.
The pub meals are great way better than the RSL, good sized

Proper Caesar salad! Soft poached egg, real bacon, plenty of anchovies, and not swamped with dodgy dressing.
Senior's size for $15 😊.
Table service, lovely friendly staff, and excellent chocolate mousse too. Well done this Wangaratta pub!

Last week, I stopped in for a coffee ☕️ and to use the toilets, which were very clean and tidy.
The coffee ☕️ was perfect, and the staff member was very friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to returning soon for lunch or dinner 🍽 .

I've been here a few times in the past and it was great but the last few months the meals have been terrible. Hopefully find someone who can cook a decent meal and get them more organised in the kitchen. Service staff were friendly and good considering how busy it was

Had dinner which was the Chinese bbq pork and cashew stirfry which was amazingly delicious, service was very good and staff were very friendly.

Had a meal last night while staying in town.
Overall the Parma itself was great, decent service size, cooked to perfection, juicy tender chicken nicely topped.
The steamed veggies were also great. The side of roast potatoes needed some crunch so didn’t rate them that well, leathery texture. Wouldn’t recommend them unless they changed the way they cook them.
Overall decent pub grub albeit potatoes.
The bruschetta starter was decent but needed less onion and then bread to be toasted a bit more.
Wine list was good, a lot of Victorian varietals.
Overall for a pub meal I would give the Parma and bruschetta a 3/5 but service was 5/5. Attentive service snd great hospitality.

Excellent service last night visted on thursaday. Mukul was working on the drinks and helped out with the meals. Awesome job done by him and the others.

Erica was absolutely incredible for our service, she was doing everything through the whole venue bar serving drinks and smashed dinner service out of the park, without her the bistro would not have ran. Aleisha however should be retrained, she did absolutely nothing the entire time we were seated and rolled her eyes at me when I asked to order dessert. The female manager on shift was ridiculously unprofessional. Overall the dinner service was the worst I have ever had without Erica our time in the pub would have been 100% terrible

Drinks service was good, waitress was polite and quick to order, staff attentive to further drinks. That’s the good.
The bad… ordered the 300g Scotch fillet cooked rare. As the most expensive item on the menu as decent steaks usually are you would think some sort of care would be taken to ensure it is a good meal. Wrong
Steak was COLD, the plate it was served on was warmer than the actual steak. The steak was also quite chewy, not what I expect when cooked properly and served correctly. The potatoes were ok, the veg was flavourless as though it had sat for some time, warm to touch. Peppercorn sauce was flavoursome and thankfully it was warm as it made the food edible.
Had I not been so hungry I would have sent it back.
Very disappointed and would not recommend ordering steak.

Clean, well staffed and child friendly. Staff are very prompt at service without it being overbearing. Very efficient. The meals are what let them down though. A bit of a fail on hitting the mark. I would say they’re bang for buck. Bit of a shame! Fix that and I’d have said 5 star.

Clean, stylish, family friendly. Service is impeccable, friendly, fast to find you a table, take your drink and food orders. Food comes out quickly and everything is well presented. The food, however, is only reasonable. Steak was somewhat tough and it was only medium rare. Other meals for the rest of the family were smallish or just average.

Can’t fault this place at all, well actually one small fault but I’ll get to that.
The service was amazing, very friendly and my glass was never empty.
The menu was great and was hard to choose but went with the Cauliflower steak with a chimichurri sauce, and that’s my small issue, I didn’t get enough sauce otherwise the meal would’ve been perfect

Booked a table for my partners birthday dinner whilst we were visiting Wangaratta from Sydney over the weekend. Should have realised the night wasnt going to go well when our booked table had been given to someone else. Got a table and the waitress was nice, took our whole order (drinks, main and dessert) and seemed pleasant. We ordered mocktails and the manager on duty brought them over and then started having a carry on over our daughter's age. We repeated several times they were mocktails, she even said the names of the drinks so knew they were not alcoholic. She finally understood or comprehended what the drinks were after going back and forth for a while. Then my meal arrived before the other 2. Around 5 mins later the other 2 meals arrived. Not many positives about the food. I had a tandoori chicken stack which was listed as a salad. I think the chicken tenderloin may have brushed past the tandoori seasoning because it was tasteless. The rosti was burnt and I'm not sure what is considered a salad in VIC but some wilted lettuce, 1 piece of cucumber, pea tendrils and half a cherry tomato doesn't cut it. My daughters carbonara was ok but came with some mystery ingredients (spongy stuff). My partners Chinese bbq pork and cashew stir fry was fresh but unfortunately it was a bowl of oil. We then waited and waited for our dessert, we were getting concerned when the kitchen were packing up. After waiting 45 mins for dessert we approached the register because enough was enough only to have the manager blame us for us not getting what we had ordered. Then when we pulled her up on it, she blamed her kitchen staff and then get wait staff. She was full of excuses and lacking an apology, a decent apology and not one dripping with attitude.

Bathroom sink looked like someone had vomitted in it and given it a quick wipe. The sink was blocked as well, when I mentioned it to staff they told me that the only rooms left had blocked sinks. Wouldn't bother staying there again.
