Went to find a fed and wasn't disappointed. Bit pricey but the food and service was worth every penny. Very fresh cooked to perfection, well seasoned and the scotch fillet steak was absolutely delicious and cooked beautifully. My partner had the bosciala pasta was so delicious. Thank you to the staff and top notch, skills to the chef..

We had an overnight stay on our way road trip to magic round and were really impressed with our room. I was sceptical when we pulled up as I'm not a pub stayer usually but hubby got a room with private bathroom and we were impressed by the room. Spotlessly clean, really nice designed room and bathroom, quite spacious and a comfy bed. Staff were friendly and very welcoming. Overall had a great stopover and would definitely stay again.

We had a large work group for lunch recently. The menu and lunch specials which offerred great variety of choice for $20. Food and serving size was generous and fast. Staff were very helpful and didn't balk providing us with plates and cutlery for a birthday cake we bought with us. Would recommend.

Very slow service, most of the drinks we ordered were horrible and sadly they were the specials. The food was delicious thankfully as the service was pretty poor in what seems like a dying venue. Avoid if youre young and looking for fun .

Very neat and subtle rooms with clean walkways to the bathrooms which are also very clean. All round well worth the stay considering location and the guys behind the counters are wickedly good people.

Unless you like sleeping in hot, stinky uncomfortable rooms. Then let me save you the money and book elsewhere. |Rooms have no air condition, no|Fly screens on windows so can’t even leave them open as you’ll get eaten alive like I did. All rooms share a bathroom one female one male same with showers. |Kitchen is shared and the fridge is no where near big enough for all rooms to use. I ended up leaving majority of my items on ice in my cooler box because limited fridge space. If you’re sensitive to smells then it’s a definite no as the scent system was way over the top. So strong it’s like it was masking the smell of something cause it was ridiculously strong. The Fans in the rooms do Jack all even with them being on high for over 2 hours while I went and had dinner the room was still sweltering hot and thermometer was scanning room as 37°c, no surprise being up high on the second level of the building, No proper ventilation. |Oh and also if you can’t climb stairs or lift your heavy luggage up 15-20 steps. then don’t book here also as that the only way in and out of the rooms. |Also Parking other than the dark scary back alley way parking with minimal to|No lighting. Out the front on the busy road is parking over night from 6pm - 8am. Otherwise it’s limited 3 hourly parking. ||To me. Definitely was not a Hotel more like a Hostel with individual rooms and shared amenities. Even the old Motel down the road was better.

They have very different ranges of rooms. The first one we booked was tiny, stuffy, couldnt open the window because it went to a balcony that could be accessible by other rooms. We asked to change the room, paid a little more and were moved to an spacious room, recently renovated, however with no aircon.

Such a lovely pub, service 5 Star, Caesar salad the best I've had in a long time, real freshly made croutons, hubby loved his rump steak and veg, all very well priced, but most of all, Dog friendly 😜, yep staff organised us to find a lovely spot in the beer garden. Well done Planation Hotel, bosses are no doubt very proud of their staff ❤️

Location of the Hotel was great, service was excellent! I've got a few concerns about the stay unfortunately despite the fantastic staff & their service! The room was clean, well managed. But, other then the bin wasn't bigger then a coke bottle was awful... our "side table" was a damn stool.. oh not to mention you'll have to share your room with some other guests ( cockroach's! ) ah, can't forget the ceiling fan... no aircon on a 35 degree day/night! Struggled to sleep :. But other than that! Definitely recommend... just BYO aircon/heater & maybe bug spray and an extra bine.

I would just like to say the owner Kathy and the bar staff here at the plantation have to be one of the most welcoming and accommodating pub staff I have ever come across. The cocktails were exceptional and really felt like we treated like royalty. Will definitely be back Love you kathy

I'm not staying at the hotel, but I stopped in to watch the football. The bar and seating area is very nicely appointed, comfortable and open plan. If you're watching some sports, there are several very large screens available in different areas. The staff are very friendly and offer excellent service. I was hungry and so I had a coffee and a toastie. The coffee was very nice with excellent, thick foam on top. The toastie was BIG. And long. It had plenty of ham and cheese filling and wasn't overly greasy.

I had an ensuite room. The exceptional quality of fixtures in the ensuite were totally unexpected for a room in a pub. The room was lovely and clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff were lovely during my brief interactions. Although there is no on-site parking there is a parking lot in the block behind the hotel.

Have been going to the Planto for years and 4 of us out of 5 had the worst meal we have ever had. Battered fish and Shnitsy were so overcooked they were almost burnt. Chips were lovely and salad ok

Great stay, was even cheaper than Most hostel prices, and still has quality like a hotel. Kitchen perfect, room perfect, bathroom great. service was also very good and finally some fanastic laundry machines, all the other hostels around couldn’t manage to get our clothes clean, but this one did. Only thing to improve would be a flexible checkin - like a lockbox for keys, we would have arrived late at night and had to change plans. (And maybe a Stove for the kitchen).

Family of 17 at the restaurant. Some food arrived very late, which was disappointing. My gf chicken, chat potato and fresh veg was very good, well presented. Vegetarian and GF options available. Staff very helpful.

Enjoyed our overnight stay here. We paid extra for a room with an ensuite, and were happy with the room. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Menu downstairs was extensive with plenty to choose from. Shared kitchen was clean and we were able to have our coffee before hitting the road. Our room had a ceiling fan but no air conditioning. We were lucky that it wasn't too hot when we visited.

Decor: Upmarket, renovated Pub. Large dining area, carpet on floor, wooden tables, comfortable chairs. Service: Friendly and welcoming. The wait time was average (20 minutes from ordering to receiving food). Ambience: Clean, modern and pleasant place to be. Reasonably quiet, easy to carry on a conversation (but it was pretty empty - I suspect it could get noisy when busy) Menu: Fairly extensive pub menu - burgers, schnitzel, steaks, seafood, pasta etc (plus nachos 🙂). Plus daily specials. Food: A little inconsistent. We had the Steak and the Beef Ribs. The steak was excellent - beautifully cooked and moist. The salad was fresh with a tasty dressing, but the mash was dry and and uninviting. The Ribs were tasty, but dry and overcooked, with the sauce dried on to them - desperately needing some extra sauce. The people next to us had the nachos which they said were great, and the Filet Mignon special which they indicated was a little dry but tasty, but the chips were superb. Prices: Very, very reasonable, and the servings were huge. We'll probably give here another go next time we are in Coffs.

Amazing service and a room/bathroom to die for! I was just staying the one night as passing through and the service that I had from the moment I called and booked, through till checkout was fantastic. ||Let’s go to the room: spacious, bang on affordable and the terrazzo tiles in the bathroom, along with the shower and sink - OMG, beautiful and stunning! The shower could have easily housed 8-10 people it was that large. The quality was spot on and I couldn’t fault the cleanliness, size and features of the room.||Checkin and Checkout process was easy, just popped my key in the box on exit and then the friendly room cleaner took me through the venue to where my car was safely parked out the back.||If you’re passing through, make sure you check out this hotel, it was priced better than most in Coffs area and much nicer rooms. 10 out of 10 recommend!
