We were greeted quite promptly and seated as soon as we walked in. As they only just opened everything wasn't set up on the tables yet which was understandable. We were the first to order our meals and were seated. Everyone around us who had 2 people on 3 separate tables who ordered after us (table of 5) got their meals before us. We shrugged it off seing we had more people waiting for meals.
Our meals finally was served 30 mins later. Safe to Say the meals weren't great and after spending over $120 it was quite disappointing. My PK Classic burger had burnt bacon and burnt bits of cheese. 1 of my sons burger was the same with the bacon and cheese. My older son ordered the 300g Pork Cutlet and the brusselsprouts were burnt. Pork Cutlet was dry. The mash was like a mash cake. My daughters pasta she seemed to love. We did enjoy the Spiced Arranchini balls, chips, sauce and my little girl loved her fish and chips. Overall not the best but not terrible.

We ordered pizzas and all of them were raw we sent the first one back and we got the second but again was raw… staff were great about the situation and made sure the pizzas were taken off the bill but unfortunately will not be back.

We had a 59th birthday there 26th August in the function room, the staff were absolutely fantastic all night long, a big ups to Page, for great service and great people skills. Everyone enjoyed their evening, and not to forget the other ladies that were also attending the bar, did not get their names but they did a great job too. Thanks heaps.

Waited an hour for food. When finally arrived it was not the hottest. Bit suspicious that as soon as I mentioned to server (who acknowledged we had been waiting a while) the food arrived within 2 minutes! Afraid to send it back in case we waited further. There was a guitar player, who frankly sounded quite good, but very loud! Could hardly hear each other talking.

This local tavern is a great place to take the family for a relaxing meal and night out. The food is 9 out of 10 and the price is low to medium. I was impressed by the service, waiters were active, attentive, and obliging. The warm fireplace was a welcome sight on the night we were there. We all had different meals to test the menu, we were all impressed with the portion sizes and quality of food presented. 4 mains, a shared pizza, 3 deserts, 8 drinks, all up $212, pretty good.

There food and drinks here were all delicious and well priced. Would recommend PK! Just a side note, you need to walk down the side to find the restaurant entry if you don't want to walk through the TAB section.

Terrible service from bar and kitchen. Long waits for drinks and meals (30 mins for a cocktail) 6 meals
ordered, 5 came at all different times between 15 mins to 1hr 30 mins with the last meal not being served. Complained to staff who honestly didn’t care. Total shambles, considering how much we spent in the place.
The man singing and playing the guitar was good, shame we won’t be back to see him as honestly wouldn’t spend another cent in the place!

Steak was tough ,toilets were blo ked and pizza oven wasn't working but band was brilliant.

Really wish this place wasn't closing for a renovation...please keep everything else the same guys..you really have a Gem here. Thank you and good job!!!!
Food was awesome , beer was perfect...seats were comfortable..( and the wife was happy ) what else can you ask for !!

My husband and I have been coming here for years and came back tonight after the reno. The tables seem a bit cramped in but the food was amazing!!! We loved the smoked cauliflower and the barramundi was delicious. Great service by the lovely wait staff. Thanks PKT!

Menu is really good, the starters were all delicious. Pork and Fennel pizza was also on point. Love coming here, and has an updated TAB area.

Who served us at P K Tavern earlier this week she was patient & welcoming, made atmosphere lovely.
The food there is absolutely beautiful try the herb chop with red wine jus

Just felt like veggies. Do not order the vegan bowl. Literally looked like dog poop. Could not face eating it. Reluctantly tried it but just dry bland and yuk.

It was ok, very busy which made service slow. We ordered a baked cheese which was dry n taste bad. Main meals pasta n barra was lovely. Cocktails were really good.

I had fish and chips Absolutely disgusting the fish was overcooked and the chips were soggy and bland had no flavour to the dish horrible salad appalling
My fiance had chilli mussels it's cost 32$ and half the mussels weren't even in there shell and had to dive into the sauce and try find them but there none.
Probably one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a pub I expressed my concern to the management and said we won't be back and also other people were complaining about there food wasn't cooked properly quite pathetic.

Giving this low rating, as one of Australia's favorite, the Chicken Parmy, was well below par.
My wife had the Crispy Baramundi, which was good while my mother really enjoyed the Chilli Mussels.
However my Chicken Parmy was well below average. It felt looked and tasted like one of those reconstituted chicken things you grab out of the freezer and fry in a lot of oil. It was not nice!
The service was OK.
In my opinion, not a whole lot of atmosphere in that place..........
Will look elsewhere next time we are going for lunch.

Had dinner there last night ordered the pulled pork pizza, needed a magnifying glass to find the pork , and the whole pizza was coated in sour cream ??
.My wife had a vegetarian meal that was all deep fried stogge. Said cherry tomatoes on the menu, but was just soggy large sliced tomato, nachos tasted of soaked old lard .
Waitress said she would speak to head chef when I replied to her asking how was the meal.Head Chef?? I could do better if that's the food that is brought out.
Only good for a pint and a bowl of wedges. Need to lift their game big-time.

Had an awesome night, and feed, there was a little hiccup with our mains order not going through (probably because we did two separate orders, entrees and then mains) but was handled perfectly by staff, meals were a solid 10 and staff were friendly and funny, especially Belinda who really made our night.

Had a long wait for service and then another long wait for food. We ordered 2 sirloin steaks cooked medium, amongst other things. The steaks were very rare and hard to chew. The place was very busy and I understand their under the pump but when you pay for a meal you expect it to be good. Won't be back unfortunately.

Decided to drop in for tea after shopping and boy am I glad we did. What a great tavern. Service was absolutely spot on 10/10 for service. The menu was short but a great selection and the meals were big. 10/10 for meal. All in all, do yourself a favour and drop in for a meal, you won’t be disappointed.

Customer service was good the atmosphere seemed good but the food was not quite right. I ordered beef and surf mushroom sauce with salad and chips and my friend ordered beef and surf garlic sauce with veges. The mushroom sauce was like a jus and the garlic sauce was more like a parsley sauce. They served my steak with coleslaw which is a lazy salad and the garlic prawns were smothered in a pepper garlic parsley liquid. We both paid over $50 each for our meals. On the bright side, good sized meals, the steak was cooked to our liking, good tasty chips and vegetables. Would go here again but i don't think I'll dine in, instead I would have a yarn over a beer while listening to local entertainment.

BEEF CURRY WAS AMAZING 😋 the food at the PK never disappoints my family love the place staff are friendly service is amazing they are great with children they supply colouring in pencils and a picture for the kids to draw on
Prices are fair compared to other venues would highly recommend the PK even had my birthday here they allowed me to bring my own birthday cake at no cost and stored it until we arrived and had eaten and we're ready for the cake 🍰
