Wonderful food sad to say there was a broken pepper shaker and pepper went all over my food, still a wonderful place with create food and amazing atmosphere.

We spent the night in Portland, and this restaurant was recommended by a few locals we ra into. They had a great variety of food, and the roast of the day (pork) was flavorful and well proportioned.

We had a family dinner tonight and I ordered the Hokkien noodle stir fry with seasonal vegetables. I then ordered for dessert a Sticky Date pudding and a gluten free caramel slice. Everything was fantastic. Definitely going back again. Everyone else's meals were really good and good sized portions too.

They offer a diverse menu that features both traditional and modern cuisine.The Bowling Club has a great reputation for high quality and affordable meals.
When it comes to the food, the Bistro truly shines. All of their dishes are carefully prepared to ensure that each dish is bursting with flavour.

The best food in Portland. No wonder always full of people. We tried all the cafes and restaurants in Portland, RSL are the best for food taste, price and atmosphere. Now we go there every week and enjoy the meals and drinks.

staff were lovely but very slow service. people who ordered after us received their meals before us.
1 child was served a meal while the other child didn't receive there's for another 30 mins. steak was nice but the rest of the meals at the table were not even average.
wouldn't go there again.

Paid over $40 each for porterhouse steak. The steak was rubbish. Mostly fat and inedible. Worst steak l have ever been served at any venue.

Needs revamping and more managing as to order a main meal i.e., a Fishermans basket and be told can't have it in a seafood coastal town isn't on the same for dessert no banana fritters. kids got charged $10 for 3 little scoops ice cream. Mousse to dark choc tasting its bitter. some meals small opposed to others. 2 exact steak meals one steak huge other half the size OMG you can't do this. this could be an awesome place with right person's brain.

Had wonderful food at a very modest cost. Calimari was perfectly cooked and the arancini were tasty and moist. Hardly fine dining surroundings but the food is worth a return visit. Obviously they have good chefs. Other restaurants could learn a lot from these guys.

Had this venue recommended to us, and this crew are FANTASTIC!!!! They are the most efficient team I have seen in ages. A well oiled machine!!! Really good food, super fast and friendly and very affordable. Well done to all at this place!!

Had lunch here today with my family and my nephew ordered Nasi Goreng (fried rice), and I saw him not happy while eating, then I decided to try his food, found out that he was eating the worst version of Nasi Goreng! Mushy rice and bland! I just hope the chef tasted the food before serving it. Please don’t overcook the rice for your fried rice. SMH!

Great venue.
The meal was great, and the prices are very reasonbly priced great for a Sunday lunch on a cold, wet, and windy day in Portland, ideal for families..
Would go back there again.

Great pub meals, very well priced and staff excellent. They have set up a beeper service to help with their service so we have to get our own food, not an issue until you're in a big group. If in a big group expect half the table to be finished eating before the other half get their food. Food quality was perfection and full of flavour. Will be coming again but maybe in a smaller group

Great food here. One of the best parmas I've had in ages and a really good steak, cooked perfectly. Solid serving size, great roast potatoes, friendly staff and much cheaper than a lot of pubs. Highly recommended if you're in the area

Friendly atmosphere. Meals were very good for price. Went on a Wednesday night, meals arrived within 15min. about 50 people having dinner so pretty efficient. Have done away with the buffet post covid.
