When we walked in to the Premier Hotel the place was very busy. After finding most venues closed or fully booked we were desperate to get our young children a feed. Thankfully we where greeted by Erica and a young French man (didn’t catch his name unfortunately) who where extremely helpful in arranging us a table and high chair. They where very attentive and friendly while been really busy.
The meals came out promptly and were large and good portioned pub meals.
Thank you for turning our night around and giving us a great night out.
Thanks again Erica and other wait staff for your hospitality:)

What a great night we had here for Lovett Muay Thai’s Christmas party. It was the perfect space for our event, we had a group of 40-50 and we felt like it was the perfect sized venue to keep the atmosphere warm and personal. Our requests were catered to without question, even on a busy Saturday night. Food was delicious and the service was perfect, the timing of the food delivery was spot on. Biggest thanks guys for making our event so special and easy!!!

Went to the Premier for the three days of the 2022 Albany International Folk 'N Shanty Festival + the night before and was very happy with the service, staff, drink selection, and food.
Great setting for the festival with a range of areas so you could be right in the thick of it or right away from it if you so chose.
Friendly staff, professional service, and a pub that serves coffee for early sessions is always grand.

Went to have a nice feed at the Premier Hotel when I stayed in Albany. Food was awesome, atmosphere is great here too!

We love coming here for drinks and the atmosphere is always great. We did have a recent let down as we ordered fish tacos and received chicken. They did offer to exchange it which we appreciated. One small piece of chicken and not a lot else. The bruschetta was also pretty average. We will keep coming though as we know everyone has an off night and staff are hard to find.
Guys behind the bar are always super friendly and efficient .

Well , what can I say 🤷 😏 🤔 😉 😜 🤪 🤷. I am 6th generation West Australian, of Irish Decent, originally from County Clare, and some of my ancestors settled in the Albany district others in Manjimup.
The Premier Hotel is the epitome of epicurean history in and around Albany 🍽🥂🍻🍷🥧🍨🍜🥗🥣🍲🍔🥩🥨.
The food is impeccably perfect at affordable prices ,( especially the local squid 🐙 👈 , not from a frozen box, fresh local Sepioteuthis australis , in panko crumbs 🙏.

Well what an amazing venue!
Wheelchair access even up on the balcony, the staff were tops so patient with my aging relative, who kept going back and forth to the bar and it was busy. (thank you)considering how busy it was the atmosphere was still relaxed the meals came out fresh,hot and amazingly "Large" Its been such a long time since we as a family have enjoyed our time out together not easy with a wheelchair but nothing was a problem. So thank you "Guys" for a most memorable lunch.
P.s I'll wait a few days until I get on the scales. 🤣🤣👋

We celebrated our wedding here, and everything was perfect. The service was brilliant, the food was superb and the plates were full, great value for money. Thank you to all the brilliant staff who looked after us. Linda and Bob Scott

Was here on a Tuesday so got the $25 steak sandwich and pint promo. I was very happy with it. Good deal for the price, a good size sandwich with some crispy fries and a beer of your choice. Would recommend to anyone that’s in Albany on a Tuesday!

People should read his arrogant reply to my review, wasn't helpful nor did it address my views.*
I had shared views on the food of this establishment as being a Local on their Facebook page,
And had block my account from seeing their posts.
My concerns were,
1.5 hr wait time (for a quarter full pub)
Cold oily so much that it made the Chicken burger inedible,
Stale burger bun,
Over cooked - not fresh oil too.
I would avoid this pub, because I had never been contacted by the arrogant Irish owner.

This is an example of how to renovate an old classic building or hotel into a innovative modern facility but still retaining the heritage look or feel whilst appealing to patrons of all ages
Not sure who the architects were but well done people this is a class facility that hits all the notes of a perfect design that appeals a very wide audience
As for the layout inside the building it’s brilliant catering for the family element also the sports buff, the casual customer looking for a bright bubbling atmosphere, areas designed for a quiet drink and a chat and areas targeting special functions or events boy that’s the work of a good designer
The furniture and fittings used are ideal and impressive
The range of food is ideal so too the range of drinks available is great
We had a great meal and we all loved it which is amazing as our group is a fussy lot who look for quality and a decent range to select from at a competitive price
We loved our outing

There on Mothers Day for an unplanned lunch, but managed to get a table with a view of the big screen showing footy.
Order drinks & food at the bar with food delivered to the table. Full drink range available incl cocktails.
Food was very good - salmon & veges, & bangers & mash. Both very tasty & large portions. Prices a bit above normal.
Not a lot of atmosphere & pub not very busy despite it being Mothers Day.

The hotel has been restored beautifully and is definitely a gem in Albany.
Bar staff were courteous and were under the pump for race day.
Food was good, but took a while to come out... expect that was because of the crowd too.
Highly recommended, will go back again.

So wanted to like this place. Had a lunch on the balcony which was great on a nice sunny Sunday. Food was hit and miss....fish Tacos were really good. Steak sandwich was ok but needed a relish .... Not sure about the plant based chicken schnitzel burger??The roast pork lunch looked much better and substantial.... The venue looks amazing after the renovations and worth a look.

Slightly overpriced but the food can sometimes be good. Drinks selection very good and atmosphere awesome but service leaves a bit to be desired. I ordered a steak on special night and the waiter asked if I wanted cutlery. I thought about saying "no, I want to pick it up with fist and gnaw on it like a hyena" but said yes please. No steak knife was forthcoming, and the staff proceeded to whistle and gossip and bang around furniture as though I wasn't there. Another time I tried to order food and they guy said "hurry, kitchen closes in one minute"... Like they can't stretch the closing time by one second. Anyway I still like it for a beer in a classy environment.

Service was good, as was the food.
But for $34 parmi, you expect more than ½ meal. The thing was so tiny. It shouldn't be more than $20.
It's New York and Sydney prices.. in Albany.
Add a normal beer and you're a dollar of $50. And still feel hungry.
Not impressed.

Our group of 9 had 3 visits to the Premier Hotel over the Anzac weekend. All staff members were very friendly and super efficient. Food was great. We took advantage of the daily meal & pint specials while watching the AFL in the front bar area. Atmosphere is really good. Highly recommended.

My favourite place in Albany. Forget the rest just reserve your tables here!
I surely hope the slow cooked grill finished steak is a permanent menu item, I can not recommend it enough. Easily the best steak I've had within 3,500Km of Albany. Huge thanks to all the staff you guys are lovely from the main bar to the upstairs bar cheers.
I will be back to eat on the balcony again!!!

My chickpea & lentil burger patty was burnt and dried out. The service was slow but they were busy. When I pointed out the problem with my meal the response was “sorry about that”. Not how you handle a customer complaint.
Char grilling doesn’t excuse overcooking and drying out of the burger patty, sadly.
My companion’s Irish Beef Stew was delicious.
If you eat here, order the stew.

I had slow cooked beef cheeks with sweet potato mash and a pint of James squire ginger beer. Best beef cheeks I've ever had. I'll be back here for sure.

Group of 14 had dinner upstairs on Sunday evening. Delicious food and good wine selection served promptly by friendly and efficient staff. None of the common nonsense about large groups having to wait. Highly recommend a visit.

Great renovation for starters. Very pleasant with good food and drinks. The Hesketh Moscato was a great find!!

Great atmosphere old Pub brought up to modern standards. Plenty of bar space & eating areas. Staff were particularly helpful, especially the manager, who gave us a refund on a meal that we were not happy with. I can definitely recommend a visit to this Pub & we would definitely come back again.

Came here during the Christmas break & was lucky to find a spot for dinner. Although the Caesar salad & salt & pepper squid was nice the servings was a bit small (for the squid). Apart from that the food came out relatively quick given it was a busy night.

Beautiful old pub that has been recently renovated, very warm, friendly & welcoming.
We didn't eat here but wish we did, we will be back. GF beer & several items on the menu also GF.

5 little cubes of pork belly for $26?….$90+ for three sub par dishes… won’t be returning
