Worst experience at this venue. Unprofessional staff, (The staff member in question is the slightly dark skin chubby woman, I believe she is from New Zéland Māori) Be aware of her. Highly unprofessional and makes unsolicited remarks and comments. She was too busy badmouthing and slandering both my friend and I behind each other. When I ask her why she would do such a thing, she wouldn’t even issue an apology and was being confrontational. Mind you, I visit that venue often and her unprofessional behaviour came as a total shock to me.
I contacted the venue management and made an official complaint by I never heard back from them.
Patrons deserve respect and privacy, maybe spend some time training your staff.

We hadn't been for quite a while and decided to go. They have got all the latest machines and we had a great time playing on them.
The staff are always friendly and we are never without a drink in our hand.
I love love love the hotdogs they make. They are delicious. The gaming room is always clean and tidy.
Thank you for the great time we had and we'll be seeing you again soon.

Today I met one of the newer staff members her name was EMMA I wasn't impressed at all it was as if she alone had flipped a switch and the whole of the venue went into a downward spiral of glumness. All the other times that I have gone into Pultney pokies when DESTINY and JANET and ADAM were working the venue is pleasant, bright and full of life when any of these people are working, you are made to feel welcome and made to feel like you are oart of a very large family. Its a shame to see the venue change so quickly because of the employment of one person who happens not to have basic customer service skills.

SUPERBLY tasting food for a decent price! Tried the Johnson burger ($10) and the sausage sizzle (JUST $3) and they did not disappoint (photos attached)! The place is nice and cosy and opening hours are 5 AM - 2 AM! Waiting time was 20 minutes which is great for a pub!
Edit: they increased the price for a few of these burgers

Staff were very friendly. But the fish & chips were horrible. The fish was off. But the staff was amazing they offered my money back

Rooms are comfortable and good size .poki and pub are good , the stuff however are not friendly and they can be rude sometimes. Otherwise everything else is just perfect.

Pulteney Pokies is a venue that suits a certain market, and for that market, I think it does a decent job. Kind of like a smelly TAB, but with food and alcohol.
The staff were very pleasant and the service was good.
Recommended for some 3am hot chips if the need arises.

Pleasant pokies bar with friendly helpful staff and a mix of older and newer machines went there 3 times during our 9 day stay in Adelaide. It was nicer than the one visit to sky city Adelaide.

Open 24 hours maily poker machines has bar but also serves coffee. Also serves light meals such as hotdogs. Hard to park your car.

Make sure you bring your id regardless of your age cause I got carded despite being a 30 year old with a beard, beer gut and wedding ring. What a day to leave my wallet in my other pants.

Jo Jo is an absolute star, the venue is very lucky to have such an enthusiastic warm welcoming employee. Literally puts a smile on my face every time…. Oh and she can whip up a mean burger!

It is the only place in Adelaide that I have found they do not have to give photo ID and you don't have to leave deposit plus you don't have to give your credit card details either it's $90 a night I spent staying here and I have to admit that it is a better hotel in any other Hotel in Adelaide for the price for the place it's at right in the middle of everything it's in the city and I'll be home back here I would live here if I possibly could it is as it is thats cheap

I just had the best experience at this venue, had plenty of affordable drinks, and had the best service from the two young girls, Janet and Destiny, behind the bar, they were funny, friendly and knew all about the footy! Will definitely come back.

Great staff, though needs a better variety of machines in my personal opinion.
The other main plus is their late trading hours which, for someone who does shift work like myself, is always very welcome.

Always a bit of a environmental compromise considering this venue is one of the very few that remain open until 5am every night. The chairs have started tearing and the coffee machine was being cleaned at 3am which was a little bit earlier than I’d have expected for a late shut venue. Staff friendly enough. Security polite and opened door for us. General sketchy pokie heads in attendance as usual at this type venue.

A little demographically challenging last night and the members spirit special wasnt available.
Having said that I had fun the staff were promt and friendly as usual also I caught up with some of my mob I havent seen for a while.
Lastly MAN I LOVE THEM CHIMICHANGAS.
The best $5 one can spend on a quick feed in Adelaide.
