We stayed there during a visit to Canberra. The hotel is located in the busy Dickson shopping precinct, is integrated with the Tradies Club and has a large underground car park, which is convenient. The reception staff were very helpful and we had a well appointed and large room. Our only issue was that access to the top floor room was via a relatively narrow, sloping, covered walkway, which was exposed to the elements. Not the best in cold, damp Canberra weather.

We stayed here for 2 nights, spacious clean rooms with comfortable beds. Welcoming and friendly knowledgeable staff. The location is great with plenty of local amenities and close to the tram station for the short trip to the city centre. We also used the hotel restaurant and found the food to be of excellent quality and price. We would certainly stay here again.

We had a very pleasant stay at Quality Hotel Dickson recently. We were part of a large group who were attending an International Reunion in Canberra. The Reception staff were efficient and very helpful, especially Anish and Sia. Anish sorted out our extended checkout issues promptly and to our satisfaction and we thank him for that. The staff across the hotel were very pleasant and helpful at all times. The hotel rooms were very spacious, clean, and quiet. There were tea & coffee facilities, a toaster, microwave and ironing board which made for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is well located with restaurants, and Coles and Woolworths within walking distance. With complimentary membership of the Tradies, meant food and drinks were well priced and we enjoyed many good quality meals at Bluey's cafe. The spacious lounge facilities were very welcome especially when entertaining guests. A luggage rack for suitcases would have been helpful, as we had to place our suitcases on the floor. In all we enjoyed our stay at Quality Hotel Dickson and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We booked this hotel due to a last minute getaway to Canberra and most hotels in the city had increased their rates probably due to school holidays and also being a weekend. Therefore we decided to book here due to the value for money. We weren’t after anything fancy, just something clean and comfortable to sleep after a couple of long days out and we were not disappointed as it suited our purpose. The area is close to the city so very easy to get to. The rooms are a bit tired but they were clean.

We booked this hotel because of its location in Canberra & what we read on TripAdvisor. The rooms are large, clean, our one had two queen size beds, but we only used one our American friends used both. Staff were friendly and so helpful advising us on the complementary free parking in the Tradies club parking. On arrival you receive free membership of the Tradies club for your stay & on showing the card in the club receiver member price.|The hotel is attached to the hotel through the reception, we will be back in Canberra in three months & will definitely stay again.||

Very welcoming staff, a special shout out to Anish who made the check-in experience a pleasure. We appreciated his outstanding customer service. Clean and comfortable accommodation. Very convenient spot with Tradies right there and heaps of restaurants in the immediate area. Our only complaint would be that the pillows were too hard.

To me, this place reminds me of a motel rather than a proper hotel. The room I stayed in was spacious and clean, but it was also dated and had barely any soundproofing, I was constantly hearing the noises of my upstairs neighbours closing doors and moving about. The TV was great in that it had all the FTA channels tuned, including the secondary channels, and the air-conditioning worked well. The room came with a bar fridge and a microwave, and the compressor on the fridge was very loud. I found the bed and pillows to be somewhat uncomfortable, but that is likely due to personal preference.

To anyone considering a stay at this superbly renovated hotel, I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone. The newly refurbished restaurants and cafes offer exceptional dining experiences with food that is simply delightful. A special shout-out to Savanna, Olivia, and the entire front desk staff for their professionalism and outstanding customer service. A heartfelt thank you to each person contributing to the excellent work, and keep up the fantastic job!

This is more of a motel than a hotel. The staff great and friendly. Rooms pretty bland but outstanding cleanliness. Biggest problem - noise. Seemed to be some sort of company get together downstairs and the noise was awful. Further to this next door's guest stood on the balcony taking and making phone calls and we had to listen to them all. Breakfast was not a full breakfast but a limited choice in Tradies next door. A whole different story on the service there. Would I stay here again, no. Noise cannot be helped but it wasn't worth it.

The room was clean, decor was modern, staff were friendly & helpful, plenty of pillows to choose from for the bed. There is a desk located in the room which was handy to use while doing some work-related online tasks. WIFI was great. The price of the room included breakfast….which came in a pre-made pack containing cereal, milk, energy bar, bowl, spoon, sweet lemon slice & there was a choice of two different cereals. The reception has staff 24/7. Lovely coffee & tea selection, with kettle to enjoy a cuppa in the room. The staff kindly allowed me to use their boardroom for an impromptu morning work Zoom meeting (after check-out). The boardroom was quiet, private, WIFI was great, many tables & chairs to use, if needed. I offered to pay an additional charge however the staff did not charge me for using the boardroom for 1 hr 😊 The Tradies Hotel is next door to the accommodation & they serve cakes & coffee, brunch, lunch, snacks, dinner & alcoholic beverages. Also……there is an electric car charge station directly outside the motel which was handy to use.

The Quality Hotel in Dickson ACT is an adequate place to stay whilst in Canberra if you are looking for a comfortable place with the convenience of nearby shops and restaurants. The furnishings are clean, pleasant and modern and expect to find the usual in-room facilities such as kettle, air conditioning, microwave and free wifi. I booked my room online, weeks in advance and thought I caught a pretty good deal for a one night stay, but my room overlooked a central courtyard with a bar on the ground floor, so a lot of noise reverberated upward and I wouldn’t had been able to retire to an early night had it not been for the earplugs I packed. There was another wing which appeared to be tucked away from the noise, however it was not clear when my request for an alternate room was denied whether this was because of my discounted accommodation or if the hotel was indeed fully booked. Otherwise, the reception staff were friendly. Another unexpected but disappointing surprise was how the tea with my room service continental breakfast was served in a disposable paper cup. Were they thinking I wanted my tea to go?

Quality Hotel Dickson (Tradies) was a very pleasant stay. We stayed for the annual Kanga Cup in July for the week. Firstly the staff were brilliant. Very attentive, would answer queries and if we needed anything would respond quickly. A real testament to Quality. Room was clean and large, cleaning was flexible to fit around the football schedule. Location would be one of the best in Canberra, close to all amenities, restaurants etc. Will stay again

Nice hotel but don't expect 4-5 star luxury. Friendly staff and well designed but buildings do show their age with vibrating lift and ages walkways and hallways. Beds are well appointed with blankets and pillows but are not your high quality items and a mattress where you can tell it's a plain coil item. Spa was a nice touch but very dated. Being attached to a club makes it very handy for food and entertainment if that floats your boat. Overall I give 4 stars as it is nice just not a 5 star experience. I would stay again, but for the right price.

I booked a king suite with spa bath. I got 2 single beds put together. EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE! I would have expected an actual king bed as advertised. Also the bath was great but no shower. I didn't ask for a shower in a bath. Very difficult to get in and out of as a short person. The air conditioner was awful. It took forever to start warming the room. It was so old. The decor of the room was very old fashioned.

I arrived at Quality Hotel Dickson with five family friends, renting five rooms for three nights. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the behavior of the receptionists, who was rude and unhelpful. Despite requesting room cleaning, it wasn't done. The rooms were below average, noisy, and the cafe experience was unpleasant due to overpriced items and unhelpful staff. Overall, a letdown; won't be returning.

I am a regular visitor to Canberra for work. My preferred stay is at Quality Hotel Dickson (when available). Everything is perfect - the room, the location, but the staff make it perfect - especilly Anish. If you book there, ask for Anish. He is amazing!

Great spot, good eating and shops nearby, the room was cool, unmarked, stylish, better than far more expensive hotels in my experience, light rail nearby, staff were on point, the layout has a lot of merit and everything was drama free. Wouldn’t change a thing.

Good choice. Clean. Location is very close to some good asian eateries, supermarket. In terms of the wider attractions perhaps not as we had a rental car it wasn't an issue. If you were on foot you are moderately close to public transport. But we felt safe the whole time and the rooms were clean and not noisy. Microwave in room was great. Shower was super nice super hot.

Excellent hotel, clean and spacious rooms, free parking and availability of breakfast vouchers all for a very reasonable price. Reception staff were friendly and made sure we had whatever we needed for a comfortable stay. Allowed a rollaway bed for our family of 5 which is rare these days, most hotels prefer you to book 2 rooms which becomes much more expensive. Central location too with shops nearby. Definitely would stay again.

Chose because on the northside of Canberra and had twin beds and walk-in shower and parking and was available for 5 nights including a Saturday.|Unexpectedly excellent in access, price, atmosphere, comfort, service and the bonus of direct access to the substantial facilities of the Tradies Club.|Bfst available via a selection left on door but can also go to the Cafe for a delicous omlette and coffee. The Club also has a restaurant serving in the evening but across the road the suburb of Dickson has so many food choices.

Booked a disabled room and was pleasantly surprised. There was a shower chair and safety rail. Down side was no shower curtain so water went everywhere. Was quite slippery so you have to be careful. Good access around the Room . Room was right next to the lift, didn't here it so that was a bonus. Reception staff not terribly helpful when we checked in but morning staff were very nice. Had breakfast in the hotel , pretty limited menu . Suggest you buy the $17 breakfast voucher from reception otherwise breakfast will be quite expensive. Location was good and parking provided.

A very comfortable place to stay! The room was very clean, with plenty of space and the beds were very good. The staff were friendly, very helpful and welcoming. The only disappointment was the room service menu. The hotel's website promises room service from their restaurants, Bluey's Café and Essence Restaurant! The meals are very good, but it was only a limited menu from the restaurant, so choice was limited, if you wanted to relax in your room over dinner!
