We recently had my daughter’s christening celebration at the Roos Club and couldn’t be happier! Such a great large new venue with heaps of natural light! Service in the lead up to the event, and on the day was great and all the food was delicious! Everyone loved the pizza and pasta. Nothing was a problem and the staff were extremely accommodating, anything we needed or asked for, they all went above and beyond to make sure our day ran smoothly. Highly recommend for your next event!

Went here tonight and ordered steaks. The food was horrible and overpriced. Chewy steak, undercooked veggies, powdered mash, the "sauce" was gravy. Atmosphere is dead, stale and drab. The overkill of fake plants does nothing to hide the dodgy decor. Overall gross and won't be back. Waste of $100. Go to the leagues.

We had a family meal here and I’m not sure if I would recommend it. There is a playroom for children and a function room attached to it. You can sit further away and watch your children on the TV screen. The menu is extensive and my coeliac daughter-in-law was able to choose from a separate gluten free menu. The restaurant itself is quite modern. There is a brewery to the side but I haven’t seen it. We shared a roos- preme pizza. It was bland and didn’t really have that much taste. It’s not somewhere I would avoid but it’s not on the top of my list either.

We came for dinner and it’s was so good. This is a massive step up from usual Club Feeds and you won’t be disappointed. The menu is extensive and caters for a wide array of dietary requirements. With lots happening in the club including functions, the kitchen team definitely kept up and the food was sensational. Fantastic value for money and brilliant service. Well done to your entire team! These ppl are definitely where other clubs need to aspire to be.

The team made the wake a very stress free occasion and delivered on all that was promised and more. And gave a chance to reflect on the loss of our love one in uninteruppted peace.

The last two meals I've had here have been a major let down. I remember getting a chicken Parma here a while ago and not enjoying it, and I must say it was consistent the second time around, and then tonight the "special beef ragu" was bland, kinda chewy, and the portion size would likely leave a small child hungry. A bunch of people that I was with were telling me to take it but I thought I would at least taste it, I wish I hadn't. On the plus side, staff are always really good, helpful and friendly. The facilities are really nice. If you do go, just play it safe and go with the steak or a burger

Pleasure to have an event here Madi and the team were brilliant to work with to hold a wake for our family. It was a simple affair, but the space was beautiful and the catering sufficient, plentiful and yummy. With only three staff members on the floor for the club, we were looked after dutifully throughout our event. I highly recommend the Roos for your next do

Our group had a great time on Saturday night. Even though we had a group of over 70, Hayley the events coordinator was so easy to deal with and happy to work in with what our group needed. We really appreciated their no-fuss attitude - the meals were great, we didn't need to have a set menu or deposit and they booked us in without any fuss. The whole area by the brewery windows were allocated to our group and everyone loved the atmosphere. The staff were friendly, welcoming and patient on the night even though we had such a large crew. Thank you management and staff for helping us have an amazing time. We will make this place our new local!

Not as good as it used to be. We had an issue with 1 of the 12 meals we ordered and unfortunately the staff were standoffish and inconsiderate it completely ruined the evening. The affected guest had to watch the rest of us all eat by the time any resolution was found after all the back and forth and the staff changing thier minds and then denying them a replacement of what was ordered and not a substitute. We were treated with such contempt that we handed in our memberships and the affected guest decided not to sign up. Such a shame after all the nice things I said about the place to get them to come with us. Really disappointing and I took it personally since i recommended such a dud venue to them. And all because the food and bev manager (who lied and said she wasn't the manager) wanted to prove some point and couldn't have cared less about our groups experience instead holding onto her own stubborn ego. And before you respond talking about cctv like you do for every negative comment, and the meal being half eaten, don't bother. It wasn't, but you would rather treat us like liars instead of owning the fact that you failed to cook the meal to order and disregarded our entire tables experience. The experience was utterly crap regardless and as a result and we will not be back.

New layout isn't bad. Good area for the kids if you want to eat and let them play. Foods expensive for quality though. The desserts are very overpriced for the quality aswell. Beer prices are on par with the rest of the country though I suppose. If it weren't for the prices on food and desserts I would have bumped the stars up

Much better diversity of beers on tap now. Very nice décor and spaces. And the staff were all friendly and efficient. I really like the feel of the place. But. The food. We tried a Roos-preme pizza. As noted by another reviewer, it was bland. More specifically, it needed a more concentrated tomato base and some Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme). It also needed to have a very light amount of cheese over the other toppings and to be cooked at a higher temperature to slightly brown the topping and to crisp the base. The base was nice and thin with very good dough but was undercooked on the underside (a preheated pizza stone might help). And more care could have been taken in the distribution of the topping. Nothing in the flavour of the pizza supported the claim of being 'wood-fired'. Could try throwing a chunk of water-soaked red gum in the oven. I will say that the pizza arrived at our table very quickly despite the club being quite busy (Friday night). Hope this review is helpful. Would really like to come here to eat more often.

I have a strong accent so I'm completely fine with a mistake being made wtch must have done as my steak came out well done .I politely informed my server of the mistake and asked if it could be rectified as it wasn't my mistake, manger appears and tells me we dont do re cooks .....( even if it's blatantly there fault . Me and my families night was ruined and I went home Hungary.. i was lucky to get my money back .needless to say I won't be back . Harendouse treatment

I was part of a group of 5 who had dinner at the Roos last night. I am local and have never been there before. Beautiful venue, lots of seating choices. I was impressed with the indoor wood fired pizza oven. We ordered two slow cooked beef cheeks off the specials board and a Roos supreme pizza, hamburger and pork loin off the regular menu. The hamburger was ordered with bacon and egg and no pickle. The pizza turned up 20 minutes before the other meals and was very bland and lacked toppings. The hamburger turned up with pickles and beetroot (an optional extra not asked for and not wanted) and the beef cheeks portions were small and the beef was dry and tough (and expensive at $34). The burger was returned and a new one provided, as ordered, which was very nice. The pork loin was also very nice. All in all a disappointing dining experience. An extra star for the staff who were lovely, profusely apologetic about the burger and gave my wife a free coffee.

I visited the Roos club and ordered their highly anticipated dry-aged steak, cooked to medium-rare perfection. However, my dining experience took a turn for the worse when the steak arrived at my table significantly overcooked, resembling a well-done steak rather than the juicy medium-rare I had requested. The 350-gram dry-aged steak, touted as the pinnacle of their menu and their most expensive dish, was rendered tough and unappetizingly chewy due to the overcooking. Disappointed by the quality of the meal, I politely brought the issue to the attention of the staff, hoping they’d agree on it. To my dismay, instead of receiving an apology or a remedy for the error, I was met with condescending lectures from the chef himself. Rather than acknowledging the mistake and offering a solution, the chef's response was dismissive and defensive, which only added to the frustration of the situation. Overall, my experience at Roo’s Club was marred by the poor execution of their flagship dish and the lack of professionalism demonstrated by the chef in handling customer feedback. For a venue that prides itself on culinary excellence and customer satisfaction, this encounter fell far short of expectations. In conclusion, I regret to say that I cannot recommend them based on my disappointing dining experience and lesson learnt don’t just visit any restaurants just by listening to those radio (HIT104.7)

I’ve been to the club before to have a feed with no issue. Tonight I returned for a feed & ordered prawn cocktail that wasn’t to bad & lemon/garlic chicken, the plate had 1/2 of what looked like boiled chicken with mashed potatoes, that’s it, was tasteless & RAW. Had one mouthful & had to walk away. After spending $32 already & still hungry I ended up at Zambrero’s Queanbeyan for a cheap meal. Thanks but no thanks, never to return.

I recently visited the club and tried their Roo's burger - by far the best hamburger i have had in a long time! Such a classic old school hamburger which was as fresh as fresh can be, highly recommend the food quality, and the venue itself is fantastic!

If I could give less then 1 I would. A table of 11, our meals came out sporadically, two meals, then 20 minutes later 3 meals which needed our gravy, which came out 10 minutes later, asked where the gravy was and asked where were are all the meals, got told the kitchen just goes off the docket which we explained the order was only one docket paid by one person. Finally got some of the meals, and then 10 minutes got most of them. then my poor aunty still was waiting for hers which she got after the rest of table had finished. We waited as long as we could to eat together but the food was going cold. We had been told that this has been an issue in the past so not sure why we gave this place a go. Definitely won’t be going back.

I'd like to thank the Queanbeyan Roos Club for welcoming the meetings of our bobbin lacemaking group three times a month. We get together for lunch and a session of lacemaking in very pleasant surroundings, and all staff are very helpful and friendly. Your meals are excellent - today I had the pan seared barramundi - it was perfectly cooked, so were the potatoes and red capsicum, and the salsa verde was the perfect accompaniment.

Food is a bit pricey, drinks and staff tend to be ok. Staff made a minor error as these things do occur occasionally. It is all the customers fault when that occurs based on the floor managers explanation. Floor manager was firm, direct but hostile tone and accusatory in delivery. (This was not the THEIR problem, it is mine, and if I want to make an issue out of it I should come in on Monday and make a complaint to a more senior manager they said a name but I don't recall it) *I will not return ever due to the experience *The manager would of ticked all procedural boxes I assume, but the customer relations was appalling. I was going to laugh off the incident, but how things escalated quickly and aggressively. Made it difficult for my family and I to enjoy our meals. It was a very negative experience, it should of been pleasant as a minimum. The reasons for it to be pleasant are: *Bar staff were helpful and friendly, they work well as a team. Side note they could focus on 1 transaction at a time for a slightly better customer centered focus. *Front counter was busy, the interaction was professional, helpful and courteous. The other interactions were exactly the same from what I noticed. This was a pleasant experience. *The medium rare porterhouse steak looked like the image shown at the register. Well done to the kitchen for providing such attention to detail when cooking meat. *The schnitzel to plate ratio was good. *The glass wall to see how the kitchen is run is a good gimmick, and helps provide trust in food preparation. *The vibe for the place is good, open spacing, makes the place look bigger than it actually is. Spacious feel.

Fantastic local club after several visits, much better value than other pubs in the area. Nachos special with beef brisket, avocado salsa and sour cream for $25 was a standout. Service was friendly and fast. Great drink prices, smaller beer range in the main bar but much wider in the brewery. Only error was the original vegan pizza we ordered had non-vegan cheese (due to dairy allergy) but this was quickly rectified. Kids room much appreciated. Will be back.

Excellent venue, cheerful staff, and quality food. Menu choices are great. It's the best club in Queanbeyan. We have recommended it to a lot of friends and their feedback is excellent also. We love the renos and the club offers a great lookout and friendly atmosphere.

Don't go here! I am disabled, yet their ceo intimidated & bullied me in front of my 83yo mother. It was a frightening experience for both of us. They have 3 disability parking spots out of over 100. The food is, in my personal experience, very overpriced & very poor quality. The staff are, again in my many experiences, sullen & surly. On a good night I would give them 1 star for their customer service. This club does not deserve your business. There are better clubs around, try those. If I could give the roos 0 stars I would. * PS: The response below is immediately false in the very first sentence! The fact is that they DO only have 3 disability parking spaces. Then the ceo wishes me all the best for my future? I'll let people decide for themselves the likelihood of that being a genuine & sincere sentiment. On this basis, I invite the local community to make up its own mind on the balance of probability the level of truthfulness of their refutation & whether they should give the club their business. *I stand by my review 100%..*

Came here to celebrate my son’s birthday, my brother ordered a pizza for his meal, the topping was fried and the base doughy, on the whole the food was over priced for the poor quality served. Other guests were also in happy with their meals. Definitely give this place a miss and go elsewhere.

Beer is cold, house red tasted like it was mixed with lemonade. Avoid the pizza though, was titled hawiian but was pure disappointment. Frozen pizza base, 6 pieces of ham 7 of pineapple. Club is recently renovated, but used cheap tvs and furniture.

Amazing Buffalo Wings!! I’m an American who has been looking for a traditional styled American buffalo wing while I’ve been living in Australia. This is the only place where I could find just that! The wings were tender and the buffalo sauce was exactly what I was looking for. Not only was the food amazing but the atmosphere was great, they had all the sports game showing and live music! Definitely coming back!
