Working in Newcastle at the moment, brought my family a few times. I just love the vibe!! Relaxed and chilled with a killer view of the harbour!! Every meal that I and my family have ordered has been outstanding!! Simply delicious!! My sincere compliments to the chefs.

Went there on a Sunday for lunch. $25 Schnitzel w/ mushroom 🍄 sauce, chips 🍟 and salad 🥗. Good value for money, big portion. Enough for two people, unless you're famished. Live band & dancing adding to the vibrant atmosphere. Great view. Kids and pet friendly. Plenty of seating.

We have enjoyed lunch at the QWH a couple of times and the ambience, food and facilities are great! There are really nice dietary options for those who need it (such as gluten free, vegetarian, etc). However, the service goes up to an even higher level with the helpful attitude and smiles of the staff there, thank you all for your good work. 👍👌

View is 10/10, ordered seafood risotto and it’s a bit undercooked but not bad, Schnitty was nice. Drinks a bit underwhelming as I ordered a jug and didn’t really taste the alcohol..?

Three of us had drinks and dinner on Tuesday evening. The bar crew and the bistro staff were so friendly and capable. I was unlucky enough to dislodge one of my hearing aids and couldn’t find it that night. One of the staff found it later on. The licensee got in touch with me to let me know . I am so appreciative of him and his wonderful staff. We’ll be back next time we are in Town. Tony Brown.

The food we ordered was kind of average, especially the slow cooked beef brisket which tasted like they were bought from a supermarket, tasted like nothing special. But the seafood platter and the chips weren’t bad. Actually we ordered the wrong one, the one we wanted was seafood tower not seafood platter lol but it’s okay They are very busy at dinner time, you may need to wait for order from the counter, but they have plenty seats you don’t need to worry about no tables available at busy time. The view was good, you can seat near/around by the sea. And they also have a good bar you can order a drink at there. Overall I would like to give a 3.5-4/5

Such a terrible Mother's Day meal. Overspiced seafood basket that all tasted of the same rubbish coating (shoe, maybe?) and a seafood linguine in what I assume was a dishwater jus. Shocker. Couldn't eat it.

Such a great waterside location. We sat upstairs, out on the verandah and got some fabulous summer rays during lunch. Pick up a menu (usual and the days specials) and then place your order at the bar (they will give you a table number to take with you) Great service and plenty of places to sit and enjoy - inside or out. Parking at the doorstep but it is paid parking via a central meter that prints a ticket for you to place on your dashboard.

Service was fantastic, very friendly staff. My wife had a Slip Wharf cocktail which was excellent and Bar girl recommended a Balter Easy Hazy. Very nice. Food left a little to be desired. Took a while to come out. We had the Seafood basket..maybe it sat awhile as chips weren’t crispy and there seemed to a lot of calamari and not much else. View of the harbour from upstairs was fantastic and a very nice atmosphere.

Ordered the pan fried barramundi fillet. Very disappointed to say the least. Risotto had absolutely no flavour. Good atmosphere but will never be eating here again.

Ordered medium rare rump steak with garlic prawn topper. Steak was cooked medium well while my partners identical order was cooked spot on. Chips were awesome! The prawns seemed to be frozen prawns as they definitely did not meet the fresh texture of a prawn, the garlic sauce wasn't really garlicy either. Salad was thrown over the steak and prawns. Atmosphere was glorious! Such a great spot. Overall a nice experience

Ordered a chicken schnitzel and it was a very generous size. It was a bit moist for my liking and there wasn't much sauce provided given the size of the chicken. Otherwise the meal was decent and worth the price. Good atmosphere with live entertainment and water view. It was a cold night but sat outside and there was a heated which was nice.

Love all vibes here. Need to be here again. The food was great. Little busy on lunch special. We walk in with no booking, more than half of the table booked. Friendly staff. Good price.

I was there with a retirement village group of 12, there was easy flat access for walkers and those with walking sticks, we had a booking so our table was reserved for us. We had a nice view of the harbour and it was warm inside since it's been cold weather lately and lots of rain. The elderly residents did have to order and pay at the counter but it was an easy short walk from out table, the wait staff very kindly offered to bring all our meals out to us which was a blessing, they were very helpful, polite and friendly. There's a cheaper menu which was also good for pensioners. I had the linguini which was delicious. We'll definitely come again.

I got the seafood pasta, with scallops, mussels and king prawns. The pasta and taste of the dish itself was delicious. However, this was not worth $35.00. Upon my plate being cleared the waiter asked how everything was and I said I expected more for what I paid, e.g for the prawns to be peeled as it is absolutely disgusting to see prawns unpeeled in my meal with eyes and the whole thing. This should improve as it is foul.

Great place to sit for a beer and some nice food. We had the steak sandwich with chips, it was delicious. With a lovely view to the water and port. Very close to the tram stop so down a few and get the train back to Sydney. Awww yeh.

Great good, lovely spot to meet up with friends and family. Plenty of parking available even on Sat although it was a very very cold Sat. Ordering is easy, order at the bar for food and drinks. Daily specials available too and even better are the special $10 desserts! The white bait was delicious!

Dropped in for lunch after walking foreshore and more. Great spot, views looking out towards heads. Enjoyed watching containers, tugs, sauling joats & fishing boats come in & out of harbour.

Considering this spot is right on the water, the prices are so reasonable and the quality of food did not disappoint. I had the squid salad which was fresh and delicious and could have been shared between the family, it was huge!! I rated down for atmosphere because at the end of the day, it’s a pub vibe so don’t expect instagram worthy photos to be taken, but awesome location nonetheless.

Brilliant food and experience. The Queens Wharf Hotel was a food highlight for our short trip to Newcastle. Portions were generous and tasty, and service was friendly. A great vibe in the venue as live music was playing when we were there. Highly recommend

Beautiful location on the wharf overlooking the harbour. Plenty of seating options either down on wharf or upstairs on the deck. I ordered 1/2kg Black mussels/chorizo/sourdough/chips and wow! Amazing! Good value for price. Sticky Date pudding was HUGE and delicious! Plenty of on-tap beers. Was a bit surprised they don't do midi beers so I had to have a schooner. Service was outstanding. So polite, helpful and super quick. I visited on a Wednesday night. Easy to access on the tram from my accommodation. Highly recommend!

Awesome pub by the Newcastle harbour front! Great views of the harbour and great tasting value pub food. The location and views was awesome. There was live entertainment and the place was packed. Seating both indoor and outdoor by the harbour. There is lots of street parking, both paid and free. Would recommend to visit.

Atmosphere was really good, the views were amazing and staff very friendly and approachable. We had the Sicilian lamb pizza and seafood risotto, big servings we could've shared ours with another 2 people. The pizza was amazing, the seafood risotto would've been better with less calamari in it and add some fish and needed less turmeric and more seafood flavour. The cocktails were quite expensive for what they were. We will be going back but at least we know now what to order. 👌😃 The per person spend was just the food it was a lot more for the drinks.
