Wow! I have to say I'm surprised the place isn't packed out. We just had lunch and the food was amazing. Rump steak with garlic prawns was cooked absolutely spot on and was so delicious. The steak just melted in the mouth. The chicken parmy was outstanding. I know it seems to be an Australian standard but this was the best I've ever had, along with the salad and dressing, and I could happily live just on this.

What a lunch!! Fantastic scallops, done to perfection and with a delicious sauce!
Very much exceeded expectations. Will be stopping for dinner on the way back up the coast!

We where sitting in eating area and there where 2 dogs in the eating area ,they were well behaved but really .Poor seating the smoking area seemed better looked after .The meals came out in brids and drabs .Been there on 2 occasions this will be my LAST and my families LAST TIME.not impressed had to pay extra for Sunday staff if you lift prices lift the standard of service to match too . Very amateurish ..

We stopped by soaked from the rain, hungry and in need of somewhere to dry off and eat, but we turned up a minute or two before the kitchen was closing, no problem they took our order and made us welcome which was great, we also both really enjoyed our burgers so thank you very much for everything.

Went there for the Halloween party they were having. On arrival I decided to get a drink for me and the missus. 2 drinks were $16.70. Handed the young bartender a $50 note. He only handed me back $15 or so in change. I called him back and said this is wrong. He then gave another $10 note to me which still didn't add up to the correct change. I was short changed at least $10. Later in the night went for another drink. Unlucky enough I managed to get the same incompetent bartender. I asked for the same drinks. He didn't know what I was asking for. He then found the drinks and I went to pay with efptos. He grabbed my card and walked away with it without telling me how much. Just took it and walked away.
Also seen them re using plastic single use cups.
Very poor furniture aswell.

Went for dinner tonight with friends to support a local business. Was a Tuesday night so not busy and 12 people including our party of 4 were waiting for food. We ordered and waited 1hr 15min for our meal!!! Saw a lady walk in with 2 x full coles bags halfway through that time. Guessing she bought our dinner...? After waiting 1hr 5min we asked the waitress/bartender how much longer it would be and she said "a few minutues" - no apology, no nothing. Finally received our meal and was a larger steak cut in half and my friends fries had clearly been reheated, but were still cold on the plate. Very dissapointed. No customer service as no update on delay for our meal.

We had a great meal and then music bingo here. Jasper was amazing. Great bartender and music bingo master. We had Ana amazing evening! Highly recommend. Not a fancy night out but a good night out. Thanks jasper so much fun!

We ate here before and were very happy. Came back a second time and experience was the opposite. Staff was sloppy, steaks very overcooked and the boss/manager didn't seem interested in feedback. At least the steaks are affordable which is rare these days. But still overpriced if the kitchen ruins them. Hopefully better next time!

We are on holidays from Victoria and Popped in today with our kids for lunch. We had a lovely meal. Beautiful chicken Snitzals were delicious. Great service and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommend :)

Was nice and quiet Saturday night. Limited wine selection.
Food was great, steaks cooked right. Amazing garlic sauce.
Wooden table tops were very attractive.

Walked in with a party of 8 on a random Thursday and ordered meals and drinks. The friendly and efficient staff had us sorted with magnificent schnitzels and cold beers in short order.
I have no hesitation in recommending this pub for a tasty meal and beverage!

Very irresponsible serving of alcohol in this place late at night.They think they are a night club, left as there are too many brawls.

Staff are friendly. No issue with them but the dinner took 40mins to arrive. From what I could see the "chef" is one of the staff and probably doing everything she can to get orders out so I'm guessing management haven't put enough staff on. The "BBQ wings" are dry wings with BBQ sauce swished over them. Steak is not 300g and a medium cooked steak should not be burned. Won't come here again.

So first time I came I waited forever for my steak. Was annoyed but came back the next night for one last go. Very glad I did. Turned out it was a new chef getting the hang of the kitchen. What a cook! Excellent food here by far the best parmigiana I've ever had! Good selection of drinks, lovely staff and the bar managers a champ loves a laugh and has a personality
I look forward to working in Gympie again simply so I can come back here for a good feed and a cold beer.

Nice little pub first one I found, friendly atmosphere and staff.

I visited for lunch with my partner. The food was great but best of all was the staff member Bec behind the bar. I've never seen someone multi-task as good as this employee with a beautifully big smile and a happy demeanor. She never broke her professional composure towards guests and even engaged in conversation without rushing us even though she was very busy. Great experience because of Bec. Thankyou.

I'm not a pub fan usually but I have to rave about the chicken parmigiana at this pub. We ended up here on Friday because our usual choices were closed due to the Christmas break. The seats were comfortable and the food was fantastic. A huge meal and beautifully cooked the chicken was juicy and delicious served with crisp fresh chips and salad. I had it with a Somersby pear cider and my friend had a beer. A totally enjoyable experience.

If you like your food swimming in oil - this is the place to come. My schnitzel was tender - but when you put your fork into the meat - oil oozed out. Same with the daily special battered barra. No wine list offered, best the bartender could offer was a piccolo of Jacob’s Creek.
Will we be back??

Great tasting and great value meals friendly staff and a great range of beers including some local craft beers a great place to stop for a meal or beer and live music on the weekends the best pub in Gympie I will definitely be back.
And did I mention the great friendly dtaff😁

Great staff and food was incredible. On recommendation from the great guy at the bar we both went the chicken schnitzel and were not dissapointed. Huge and so crispy and tasty. If you're travelling throughits worth stopping in. Photos were of food half eaten because it was worth the pic once I realised how amazing it was.

Great place to relax with a coldie, and the staff are happy care free and quick to serve. Very enjoyable hotel. And the have live music weekends.

Don't go !|Unsavoury place of gathering !|No refusal of service with falling down drunk fighting going on . Nevermind sell them another drink Definitely not a place for a relaxed pleasant visit unfortunately . I went by two good reviews however obviously since 2020 it's gone down hill dramatically

Best value and absolutely delicious meals that are cooked to perfection Plus all the bar and kitchen team are super friendly and efficient. I couldn’t recommend this venue higher.

Bec the bar maid was friendly and inviting, and took great care in looking after us .... AMAZING FOOD! love the authenticity of the hotel... best value pub meal we have had in a long time ... thankyou

3 stars for the bar staff and some true craft beers on tap, 1 star for the meal which was a 200g rump cooked rare at one end and well done at the other end, tough and not very appealing, $7.50 extra for 3 tiny shrimps in sauce (prawn topper?), decent salad but chopped in small pieces that could not really be picked up with knife and fork. Overall, very disappointing considering how others raved about this meal.

1 star too many is my review- Ive only been to a few places in my lifetime where even the owner is as rude as the staff. What a disgraceful business owner..... it seems this accountant probably shouldn't have brought a pub haha. This pub WAS (and ill say it again- WAS!) one of the best pubs in town. Now as far as me, my family and friends are concerned its by far the worst! Considering I grew up here that might say enough. If not, visit yourself and experience all this and probably more for yourself. Toliets not working, watered down homemade vodka, food that sometimes you wouldn't feed your dog, floors sticky enough to rip your shoes off and a list that goes on and on.
Like, I could go on about how they used to rewash and rewash the disposable plastic cups and so much more but ill just advise to visit another pub, Anyone other then the Queenslander hotel infact.
Edit:- yes i was banned for life....... and Im sure im not the only one nor will i be when they retaliate to such an owner.
That doesn't make my statements untrue at all, its been common knowledge around the town for years not just now......
I class myself infact as pretty lucky now im banned from the worst pub in town. Saves my friends and family from asking me to even go there! Win win for me, even the second worst pub in town is a dam sight better then this hell hole.
Report this to google and the police, all im simply doing is reviewing a business that I truley believe is a disgrace and the reasons behind it, and thats why google have the reviews section.
Like i said, make your own judgement if you dont believe me or just ask around. The proofs in the pudding. 🤷
