We shared the pork ribs and the Moreton bay and avo sliders. The ribs were perfect and the sliders just topped it off. Generous portions so plenty of food for both of us.

Went there for dinner, amazing service and food came out super quick. My partner and I got the bruschetta for our appetiser which was a great portion size and tasted good. I got the garlic prawns and rice for main and it tasted amazing. Price is a tiny bit on the pricey side but was great food! The alcoholic ice tea on tap was also a 10/10. Would highly recommend.

Was served a drink in a broken glass lost half my drink and upon returning it I was told thanks and they walked away I had to call them back to have my drink replaced.. second drink and my partners drink was knocked across the room when the attendant opened the pokie machine, this also was not replaced until I returned to the bar and had to find the gentleman who did it. Staff was rude and short with responses. Finally when I asked for my payout on the machine ($500) they fiddled with the machine for 20mins and switched it off without taking notice of the payout figure, this was obvious in the attendants face when I said what about my payout, luckily it was still there when it restarted.. not a great experience.

The area is supposed to be "No Dogs Allowed" but on the 21/11/23 a dog owner went to the bar, tied their dog up in the smoking area and went and sat inside while the dog whined and howled outside, which was extremely annoying for everyone else. The staff didn't ask the dog owner to leave.

Terrible service and very desorganize with the order. Food is very ok. Go find somewhere else on the island.

Staff amazing. Beautiful spot, spotlessly clean eating areas. Unfortunately we where all (4 of us) very disappointed with the seafood platters for 2. 1piece of battered fish that was that over cooked on the platter plus 2 little grilled pieces of fish you couldn't even chew. The rest of it was I am sure was frozen sea scallops ( watery) undercooked prawns and fried calamari. The couple of oysters you got where very small. Of course they filled the platter with chips . 1 piece of lemon , per platter.
Not happy for what we paid. We should of sent food back straight away but we didn't. Mentioned to the staff of our concerns nothing was done . In saying this will not recommend this establishment to friends or family.

Some of the best views on the Island - super convenient of you're using public transport with the bus metres away - great for a base to take a beach stroll - fabulous food and amazing staff.

Shocking breakfast. Avocado was extremely brown to a point where we had to take a second to deliberate and identify what we’d been given. The poached eggs were hard as rock, enough said on that. Criminal food and for a silly price. Very disappointed. Staff say they will “notify” the kitchen. No apologies

Right got near the Picnic Bay bus stop. Good outside table close ish to the water. One guy on the front bar run off his feet but doing an excellent job. Waited a little to get food and drink but no more then at a Sydney pub. Food just what you get at a local pub turned tourist pub. Hard for the pub to quickly up size when all us tourist show up. We took it as it is and made it it work. No complaints at all, we got food, drink, good service, and left happy.

Not particularly impressed by the food or the service. Had a group lunch booking for 25 people which was booked 4 months in advance to give enough notice for staffing. The kitchen was closed for 45 minutes during service because too many people were ordering food and then when I finally got to order, from a very limited menu, it took 2 full hours just for one seafood basket and one serve of wedges ( no sour cream as they ran out). The staff kept complaining how busy they were! Two out of three wine glasses I received with my drink had very obvious lipstick marks on the rim. Not sure I’ll ever go there again.

Lovely, quiet change. Great pool table, cheerful staff, cold drinks and great aircon. Right next to the bus stop .. Really good historic photos. Great bistro area indoor and outdoor for dinner and some gorgeous fish friends to keep you company ..

Kind staff and nice seatings, but the food was really bad! Quite expensive for what you get. Margharita pizza very basic, the base was probably frozen, lots of cheap cheese. Lemon pepper calamari looked like from frozen package too, definitely not fresh catch. For the price I would expect more.

I ordered a margherita pizza that literally had 4 slices of tomato, the rest was just cheese and tomato sauce. It was hard and somewhat burned.
I give it two stars because at least the cheese tasted good.
I would not recommend it.

I ordered a beef burger that was mistakenly put down as a fish burger. When it was brought I informed the waitress this was a mistake, all she said was it was on the docket, no apologies, didn’t look for a solution. Went back to get and show the receipt that that was what was ordered. When we said we didn’t want a fish burger and wanted the beef burger she took it back only to come back a few minutes later, setting money down on the table and informing us the kitchen had closed and left before we could say anything. No apology, no solution, so we were left without a lunch.
We were told food would take a while which it did and we were fine with, however because of this the kitchen closed within our 45 minute wait.

I only ordered a grilled fish with salad. Waited 1 hour, told the waiter 3 times that we need to go to catch the ferry. When I went the last time after 1hs waiting he said 15 minutes, so I just left. I was not the only client who needed to leave without having her food ready, without no money back of course. Menu is burgers and fish and chips, nothing creative or healthy. For my 3 year old I wanted to order an avocado toast ( that was on the breakfast menu) and of course no way! So no flexibility, junk food & the slowest service ever... They simply don't care...

Food was really good (I ordered fish of the day), fries cooked nicely.

Great little pub/bar right on the water. Such a lovely spot to sit and enjoy the breeze and a few drinks. Meals are a typical pub feed and taste good with sizable portions. Staff are lovely and service is great. Was happy to find some live music on a Saturday night.

Food was average. My partner got the Pork Ribbs which he really enjoyed! Loved the cheesy garlic bread also :) The live music really made the atmosphere! Singing well known aussie songs that everyone was singing along to!

Each Sunday they serve a sunday roast for only $15 normally good value, sunday just gone was roast beef. The peas, gravy & roast pumpkin were fantastic but the potato was still raw that a knife would not go into & the beef was mostly gristle and so overcooked I could hardly chew. I made a formal complaint to the staff who couldn't give a rat's arse, sorry picnic bay pub you have lost me forever

Definitely the best location for a restaurant in the island. Beautiful view and just steps away from the beach. Ideal for food and drinks before & after enjoying picnic bay!

Average food, and average service.
Ordered the seafood basket and it wasn’t very appealing. My partner asked for a takeaway box for his pizza and was given a small box that he had to place all the pieces on top of one another.
Staff didn’t really seem interested in looking after the customers.
I emailed the bar the day prior to going to see if they were playing a sporting event and got a reply two days later which wasn’t the warmest of replies.
Beautiful spot with beautiful views but the service was lacking and the food could do with a spruce up.

am not surprised they got review only 3.3 lol Sat down for 20 mins no one come to say hello. No one ask how we are or even said if u want to order please come to the bar. I wave to a bar man but he do nothing. The girl just walk pass treat us just like we are an air. If u come here is a mistake I can tell u.
