We went here for a Christmas meal, food was nice enough but not much choice for vegetarians and nothing for vegans. No clear direction to the restaurant area, staff were friendly but were too occupied with clearing tables and chatting to bar staff. It's wasn't that busy but we had to ask waiting staff for menu. Overall nothing special, decor is dated, we've been to much nicer restaurants.

Went out for dinner here tonight for our first time since being in werribee I must say the food was delicious kids meals reasonably sized my Kiev was cooked perfect 👌 our waiter was lovely with the kids and super friendly :D will definitely be going back 👍👍👍👍

Update 14/12/23
Stopped by here for dinner on the way home again after 6 months since our previous visit. My son ordered the Crispy Pork Belly and I had the Fillet Mignon, medium rare.
OMG, we both agreed they were the two best meals we have had here, and we’ve never been disappointed. Thanks again for a fabulous and fulfilling meal.
Original Review
I live SE suburbs and have some ongoing short term evening work, close by this place. My son and I have eaten here three times now and have been amazed at the quality of food served. The menu is also regularly updated, so the variety has been amazing too.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and I really like the atmosphere of the bistro.
The next couple of weeks will certainly be gracing us with some good feeds!

This place is something special. There is a lady / waitress and she is one of kind. Her customer service is nonexistent. From the start to finish, rude behaviour. The food was very late. Didn’t provide the bread buns until we asked. Then too much of rush to get rid of us from the restaurant so they can clean.

They bar and wait staff are awesome, the chef something totally different. Won't be coming back any time soon.

The waitress’s need training on how to serve customers, in particular the older waitress that’s usually on. Simply rude and blunt. We’ve never walked into a pub feeling so uncomfortable before until we walked in here. Regarding food off the menu we enjoyed our meals however with the kids meals could be improved with more serving on each. The atmosphere of the pub itself we enjoyed as its a unique old school pub vibe.

The service here was absolutely fantastic and the best Parma I have had in 10 years. Great food and atmosphere would definitely go again.

Six on our table. Three meals great. Three average. Most appalling waitress service I have ever experienced.

Sadly the wait staff ruin the overall experience for diners. There is an older woman who is consistently abrupt, rude and unwelcoming to guests. Also a young boy who cannot string a sentence together and just pulls a face when serving you. The children's ice cream serve was the size of a teaspoon which was also shocking. Very unpleasant experience!

Plenty of parking.
A more relaxed dining at the pub type atmosphere, with a bar. Great table service. Menu has a great selection to choose from. We loved our meals. Steak was just perfect!!

Our steaks were cooked just right ....large kids meals , prompt service ... and the waitress ran out with our daughters toy as she nearly left it behind .Thank you 🙂

Meals are amazing!!!! Well proportioned meals with loads of flavour, staff are very nice and extremely attentive. Definitely recommend.

It was advertised on line that Wednesday night is $16 parma night, so my son and I went. We had dinner, 2 different parmas. The chicken was cooked well. Salad could have had a little more dressing and been a bit larger serve, and the chips were just ordinary chips. There was a lot of chicken compared to the sides. I went to pay and was told the ad is wrong and it was full price. I was pretty shocked and explained there is the price on line. I was told they have been trying for a long time to have it changed but can't. Wow, not a great ending. Don't be surprised to be charged over $50 for 2 parmas, even if it's Wednesday night.

I highly recommend you visit the racecourse hotel, i suggest you have a pit stop at the bar and order yourself a thai beef salad or whatever else is on the menu. The service is spot on and friendly and the environment is happy and welcoming. The food is tasty and for a counter meal i would say is like restaurant quality. One of my fave spots to have a meal and beer with my partner in crime lol.

Great old school pub atmosphere, the young guys serving were polite and very nice, the Parma was ok but the salad and chips were great, I will definitely be going back the other reviews almost put me off but went anyway and am glad I did

Enjoy the food, although quite average. The waitresses need training or addleast have a briefing before service commences to highlight how they should be treating customers. I understand hospitality is stressful but never would I blantly ignore a customers request. Just because it’s busy doesn’t mean you can be rude. If you’re looking for a good pub meal in Werribee I’d suggest the bridge. Addleast your served with a smile.

Been a Werribee Racecourse Hotel patron for 30 years . My children and adult grandchildren also patronise this great establishment. Your bar manager and staff give great service, meals are good, and we always feel safe there. Never any trouble. Thanks Werribbe Racecourse Hotel

A good atmosphere awaits guests once they come inside, the main bar is cosy with a bar TAB offering multiple screens for the sports of choice. Beer prices are on par with other establishments and the service is good. The menu is substantial enough to suit most tastes with inexpensive costs.
A Poker venue at the rear along with a small offering bottle shop out front. Worth a visit if you're passing through and must try if you are a local.

Absolutely poor service from staff! Both waitresses were rude. One always gives off vibe that she doesnt want to be there and doesn’t listen to you order. the other ran after us and accused of not paying. Then said oh your aren’t table 2.. going to dine at the bridge hotel from now on.
