What a joke waited 2 hours for a chicken parmy came out burnt to a crisp with no sauce there was a piece of liquorice under my cheese and they were were serving beers in plastic schooners very disappointed considering it cost my first born child a kidney for our family to eat here. Also no toilet paper in the disabled toilet very discriminatory.

We ordered the Thursday special Ribs & Wings, it was very dry, like it was cooked a couple of days ago.
The squid was beautiful and soft, but there was no salt and pepper at all.
However, the ladies at the bar had great personality and service. Well done to you. Went back for another drink today 😀

Wednesday night is trivia night and had $15 schnitzel special. Staff were friendly and efficient.

This establishment is inconsistent. When busy it is extremely cramped, the food is terrible (over or undercooked meat and slapped together meals), and cleanliness is out the door. When it is a slow to mid-regular night the food is incredible (cooked to perfection and prepared thoughtfully), staff are friendly, the place is spick and span clean (aside from the carpets) and it is heavily enjoyable. Their take away service is fairly good, but it also depends on what you order. It's a great place to walk into without much thought occasionally, but my family personally will not be making it a regular place to eat.

There were issues with parts of all of our meals. We ordered garlic bread that came after we had finished our mains, the pork belly bites were dry and stringy, the sausages were shrivelled, the curry was oily and sloppy and the lasagna tasted overwhelmingly of a single herb with no béchamel or red sauce in sight, just oily mince. The waitress was friendly which is the only redeeming quality of this meal. It’s Whitebull prices at Kilda quality.

room for improvement but the staff are above and beyond. you almost feel like the staff are too good for this venue!!

Properly fantastic, as always. Good is great (and served very quickly after ordering), service wonderful. Proper menu for the kids which includes an activity book and free dessert. Just excellent all round.
Oh and you can wear shorts, unlike that garbage pseudo-Irish pub in Canberra.

Our waitress was really rude, unhelpful and requires some customer service training. We felt very unwelcome in the venue.

Ordered S&P Squid as a main. It came with nothing but some yellowish lettuce or maybe wombok cabbage (hard to tell) and a small soy sauce. Looked bloody awful. Squid itself was fine, but really?? Soft drinks were flat also. Won't be back anytime soon.

My family love coming here & eat here often, so when I visit we usually dine in.
The BEST garlic prawns & rice I’ve ever had, such a generous serving!
Barramundi penne pasta special was also delicious & something I’ve never tried before.
Great meals, talented chefs, good prices, always love eating here.

My brother and I organized a 20+ family get together at this hotel recently. The manger was so rude to us when we asked why we had to pay $14 to exchange chips for mash potatoe for our near 90yr old mum who cannot eat chips. No empathy or understanding was shown to us, his customers. He then went on to tell us that if we don’t want to pay the extra charge we should eat elsewhere (which we would have done except family members had already sat down and had drinks etc). We were in shock as we had never experienced such aggressive behavior towards customers in all the 50 plus years of living in the area. Both my brother and I run companies and we would never treat a customer like the manager at this hotel spoke to us. Obviously we won’t be organising family get togethers at this hotel again.

Moderately priced. The "lunch size" is pretty big! I totally want to see what the large size would have gotten me for only a few dollars more.
The outside seating area is absolutely beautiful. Great open area with sturdy furniture, comfortable seats and plenty of room and games.
I only had the chicken parmigiana but it was awesome. I'd eat there again. And I'd be keen to see the outside area lit up in the evening.

Lovely venue, cold beer and tasty pub meals. Staff are friendly and the fire is warm. Could not recommend this hotel enough

I have had some great experiences at the Railway and did rate it as a 4. Unfortunately they have changed the menu and getting a basic burger is no longer possible. Beer was cold although a little inconsistent- could have been near the end of the keg. Still a good pub

Got a table for Fathers Day. Food was amazing, kids entertainment on point and lovely atmosphere as always. Our son loved the face painting.

Good pub meals and family friendly. The outdoor tables with individual booths are a bonus and a lovely place to meet with friends in summer. Also a play area for kids nearby so parents can relax. The service is good and it is overall a great spot for birthday dinners etc.

Friendly staff, excellent service and--most importantly--superb food. The pork ribs were the best I've ever had. All of this afordably priced.
Their secret is the impressive experience and skill of their chefs and an artfully designed menu. I would recommend it to anyone.

Best pub lamb cutlets I've had. Cooked to a juicy rareness. Pepper beef steak pie was also excellent. Heaps of flavour, lots of meat, great pastry. Rating is just for the food.

Always love going to the Railway. Best food at a good price .The staff is awesome. Well worth going,for a nice dinner or a party.
