We returned to Rattle and Hum to try the menu for a second time, but we were bitterly disappointed. Food looked good, but was overcooked. The rump steak was meant to be on the rare side of medium but was well done and dry. The chicken and chorizo pasta was much the same. Dry. Overcooked. And fatty and bland. We passed on our lament to the waitress, so I hope she told the cook. At least the Bulmers and Pinot Noir Rose was a safe bet. Sorry R&H. Two stars. We probably won't be back.

Very nice and steak night on Thursday! Only $25 for a set of steak and draft beer. The steak tastes wonderful and beer also. However, we found it really hard to grab a seat even you had order your meals. So make sure you grab a seat first before you ordered your meals.
Overall experiences were fantastic.

This place was absolutely amazing, you can enjoy great food with an amazing view.
The garlic barramundi I had was the best I have ever tried in my whole barramundi tasting adventures, it is a must try if you visit palm Cove. wedges were well seasoned and crunchy. The lychee cocktail was delicious 😋

Super happy with our meals, were a great size for us big eaters - we were a bit apprehensive given some of the reviews on meal size. Happy hour timing was great too

Overall, the experience was average. Had to wait quite some time for our food and it wasn’t anything special. Barramundi was average but enjoyed mash and veg. Partner got the ribs, thought would be bigger for the price. Coleslaw was basic and tasteless. Limited gluten free options - no seperate fryer. The atmosphere was quite nice and has great view of beach.

Not a great meal out for many reasons. Firstly we all (4 adults) ordered at the same time with each meal being ready completely different times meaning one person food came out 10-15 minutes before the rest. One burger had to be send back as was uncooked and very pink. The fish and chips I had ordered was overly fishy, kind of soggy and quite honestly vile. Went up to the kitchen only to be told “it’s fine” and “well it’s cooked”. I would say best bet would be to stick to chips.

Nice verandah to sit on with lovely views. Service was average. Staff seemed to be more interested in talking to each other than the customer. Pork Riblets were very good, coleslaw was only average. Calamari and Chicken Schnitzel tasted much better than they looked on the plate, but the salad was old and tired and very unappealing.

Meh. Food was ok. Background music was too loud to do much talking. Odd structure where one needed to order food at a separate location than drinks order. Nonexistent table service for prices paid.

Me and my husband have ordered supreme pizza. I asked for no meat can we have prawns instead and is it the same price she said yes. got the pizza and only had 5 small prawns. We also ordered garlic bread and got 2 pieces of it. We got charged $10 I would have expected 4 pieces. I was charged $28 for pizza and $10 for garlic bread. All up we were charged $44 , should have been $38 surcharge must of been $6 Dollars which our bill was $44 . I think Ive been charged for prawns on our pizza. On the website it says pizza are $25 and the board says $28. Price is wrong. We have been to rattle and hum 1 year ago and food was amazing. Sadly it’s dropped in quality. I feel our pizza was not to standard and over priced. We will not be eating there again. We are from Sydney for a holiday and thought the food could have been much better. Also to get alcohol we needed to wear a wrist band not sure why. We were told some religious thing Easter. We should have just asked for a refund. Disappointed in the quality of our pizza. They had a band and music was loud, hard to hear the staff when ordering. The reason I gave 2 star is because of food quality.

I would not return to this Pub style Food again. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana and it was overcooked/black and crunchy. Also the Chicken Snitzel was black and over cooked. The salad was like it had sat in the the fridge for 2 months and the chips my air fryer does a better job and I don't have to pay a easter surcharge on a
SATURDAY and not a public holiday.
I didn't bother complaining after reading the reviews. Someone needs to let the chef know how to cook pub food. Won't be back and we are locals.

I visited with a family member who had a very restricted diet due to medical issues. The staff were so helpful and did everything they could to help with our dietary requests. The food was perfect, and we were able to 'eat out' several times without any issues. Sending the staff a huge thanks.

It's a shame. Normally delicious pizza but this time we walked away unknowingly with an absolutely burnt , inedible pizza.

I’m normally pretty happy with the food and service but this experience was just not good enough. I placed an order for takeaway over the phone, I was told it would be between 5-10 minutes. I am less then a 60 second walk from the restaurant so I waited just under 10 minutes to collect my food. When I received the food it was filled with excess water and juices from the tomato salsa which spilled out of the container when I placed it in front of me. When I went back to ask for a refund or for them to remake it, I was told that I had waited too long to collect my order and therefore it had been sitting which is why there were juices. Okay, fine, so the staff member that I spoke to preceded to make it again for me. I work in customer service and can tell when staff are being condescending or passive aggressive and I felt that because I had complained about the food initially that I was then treated poorly by the servers. I received the second lot of food which was just simply disgusting, I’ve ordered the same thing from this restaurant many times before and what they served me tasted stale and out of date. I took one bite and threw the rest away, I was not going to waste my time asking for my money back because the way I was treated when I first complained was indication that I would not receive the service I was asking for.. very disappointing to say the least, overall I really do enjoy this establishment. However this was just a really poor experience for myself and the staff members involved. Most likely will not be ordering from them again anytime soon.

Good food, came out fairly quick. Had vege burger, pizza and chips. Shaun was a great server every time, super friendly and helpful. However most of the female servers seemed grouchy / had a bit of a bad attitude. Would come back again though, their prices are a lot better than some of the others around here!

For how expensive it was, it was okay, nothing wrong with it. I didn't like that to have to basically be your own server by ordering and receiving at the kitchen... The young woman was very friendly though.
It's a safe bet but don't expect much.

Food wasn’t amazing. Ribs were nicely cooked, but small portion and lacking flavour, the coleslaw had no taste. Calamari was nice. Parma was okay but nothing special. Pizza was average. The chips were yum and cooked nicely. Good atmosphere with pool table and darts, and tree growing through the building. Ordering system worked well. Enjoyed the strawberry and vanilla cocktail.

Food was good, service was absolutely appalling. Thanked the larger gentleman for clearing our table received no response no acknowledgment nothing expect him banging into my chair. All this was after him nearly mowing down my wife walking to order at the bar. Courtesy is definitely an attribute this guy does not possess. I have spent many years in the hospitality industry from pubs, clubs to fine dining restaurants in my experience this person would be a temporary employee at best.

Fantastic food, location and atmosphere.
Accessibility friendly.
We ordered spaghetti marinara, fish and chips, grilled fish, nachos and wedges.
We had pina colada, passionfruit daquari, strawberry and vanilla cocktail.
All divine and great value.

Excellent location with varied seating areas. The outside area was perfect for us and our dog Dolly. We have had pizza in the R&H in Cairns and it was excellent, no reason to not expect the pizza here to be anything less. Sadly it was not to be🙁 We had a half and half with my half as Capriciosa. The pizza cook should be told tha Capriciosa should have artichoke hearts as a topping, which this didn't; it should also not have anchovies which this did. Very disappointing as I like artichoke and hate anchovies. On the plus side, the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere relaxed. Having said all that, we will be back, just not for the pizza.😉

Excellent food and service. Thanks to the Irish bartender, Sean. It was me & my GF first time in Palm Cove/Cairns & he gave us great advice on tourist attractions to do while we were here. He also made really good cocktails🙂

Drove thru palm cove in the afternoon looking for somewhere to have a bite to eat. Most places were closed for food but this bar and grill offered pizzas. Ordered an Aussie pizza and some cocktails. Meal and drinks came out very quick and the service was great. Food was delicious. Out door seating was great with a beautiful view of the beach. Pricing was reasonable.

Decent pub food and servings. You order and pay at counter. Indoor and outdoor seating, right opposite a playground across the road.

Came here for dinner on two occasions, unfortunately due to the rain the pizza area became flooded but boy am I glad I got to experience it before I left Palm Cove.. their pizza was ridiculously good!
The meat was tasty, the cheese ratio was spot on & the crust depth was to perfection. Although busy at times, the staff were friendly & helpful, the ambience within the restaurant is relaxed & calm, perfect for a dinner by the water.

$6 schooners after 5pm weekdays..get around it. I also recommend the Schnitty.
