Wide range of food and bar services, busy. Service time is reasonable. Minimal table service. Taste is as expected, no surprises. Pub grub.

What a great place! The prices are very reasonable. The calamari we had was cooked perfectly.. such a great and friendly place.. well done to all the staff !! Especially the chef on the day we were there..

We stopped in here after walking up and down the main street looking for a licensed venue to have a significant lunch. Unfortunately this venue was not able to serve us either of the meals we had chosen to eat here for. That was just a timing thing, being lunch time.
Even though the place was nearly empty, it didn't offer table service, not even to bring our pizzas to our table. Drinks and meals had to be paid for separately.
I imagine in the evening this place lives up to its name, but for us for lunch, the food and music are the best it could offer.

We popped in for lunch, three adults and two kids. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, the kids were given activity packs and friendly staff explained how the food/drink ordering and service worked.
We ordered the wood fired pizzas - which were amazing! Best I've had!
There was a little mishap when one of the pizzas came out incorrectly but staff were amazing. They quickly fixed it and brought me out a fresh, delicious pizza (minus the onion 😉).
Five stars because the service was exceptional, the food was delicious, and we were able to sit out the back, undercover to enjoy our meal (and give the kids less chance of annoying all the other patrons).

We ordered three pizzas from here as takeaway, over $20 a pizza. Pizza’s came out on plates i politely said, “sorry, these were suppose to be take away”. The lady serving sarcastically said “that’s not a problem” and threw our pizza into a take away box and yes i mean threw. Pizza was pretty average also for the price. Probably wouldn’t eat again.

We had a table of 7 & all meals cooked quickly, even on a busy Saturday night. Food really fresh & great cocktails.

This place is amazing. Best ribs I've had, better than most places in America. Super fast and really good quality in the ribs. Also great on arrival we got a little activity pack for our little dude, which helped keep him entertained at the table.

The only good thing I can say about this place is I got a refund for the food we were served.
The pizza was so over cooked, burnt edges and sundried tomatoes that tasted like ash.
Also the bar refused to make cocktails due to needing to clean the bar at 7pm. Also the pork although it was tasty the rind was soft as anything no crisp to it.

The chorizo chilli was great. Could of done with more chilli bit that's my preference.
Wife had spaghetti bol and she thought could be more tomato inspired.
Was very busy and didn't wait long for food at all.

Significantly cheaper and better value than most other places in Port Douglas! We had the Calamari to start. It was cooked perfectly and the dipping sauce insanely tasty. Woofld fired pizza was huge and delicious, and the fish tacos were a very generous size! Service was great and the it has a nice chilled out atmosphere. Great place for a beer on a warm evening too. If you're after some good food at a reasonable price, far more reasonable than most other restaurants here, then give this place a try

Seemed like a decent place. We are plant based tho and their veg pizza cost $5 extra for the "vegan" cheese. I don't object to the extra $$ but the amount of vegan cheese we got could was miniscule. Like a butterfly could have carried it all away. Next time, I'll order the pizza with no cheese and save the $5. In their defense, the manager offered to buy us a free round of drinks. If you are vegan, keep on walking.

Pretty good drinks, however the ribs were really not great at all - neither of us barely touched them. The pizza however was not bad. The toilets are a bit weird too, you can see through a glass panel where the urinals are from the outside. Kept coughing from the A/C as well. Staff were just OK, but also closed earlier than advertised.

Love the set up of this place and the food.
I stayed in the area for two weeks and tried calamari almost everywhere, this place had the best by far. Their pizzas are also delicious.

Let me tell ya, this has got to be the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. Spent a few days at Port with the wife, happened to eat here on the first night - was so damn good we ate here every night til we left. Get the pesto chicken and you won't be disappointed.

I arrived at the bar, 1 customer & 3 staff at the bar. The place is pretty quiet while the rest of Port Douglas is buzzing!! I finally get served after the staff have concluded their personal conversations. At 8:32 I ask to order food and I’m told “Kitchen shuts at 8:30”.,I said “Its like 8:32” Then she says “No, they’re funny like that”. Ok… that’s fine!! I’m a full time traveller all over the planet and I’m leaving after I finish my 1 & only Pint never to return. The service & prices & vibe is better at Paddys, so that’s where I’m off to. I’ll also be letting other people know not to come here. Word of mouth is very powerful advertising. This is what I do with places with poor customer service because “I’m funny like that”

Had a very nice pizza.
we came as we were told there was a $12 pizza special for the night. However turns out this is for locals only. And the tourists have to pay at least double.
I couldn't understand properly and got the local special.
Our friends who were with us only orderd 5 minutes after me However they had to pay full price and didn't receive their pizza for an extra 1½ hours after I got mine. Staff had no explanation after asking multiple times and handed a free garlic pizza to say sorry.

Great pub. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is good quality with a variety of choice. There are two pool tables and an area at the back for kids. Dogs are allowed in the area outside the front.

Great place to sit and have a feed. Steak was a little chewy. Service was awesome (well done girls), bit pricey but overall wasn’t too bad. Only place that sold veggies in Port Douglas.

Great local watering hole and top pub grub. Love a pub with a wood fired pizza oven, and these guys do a great job, from mouth watering cheesy garlic pizza to classic pepperoni. They also do a great schnitty, so you always get a good feed.

Good atmosphere was quite busy. Staff were friendly. Except the meals came out with a 15min gap so one person at our table had to watch us all eat. I recommend you avoid the pork belly, the 3 we ordered on our table were horrible, rubbery with no flavour. Toilets were disgusting, we refused to use them. Certainly wouldn't recommend this place for the prices they're charging. It's more of a discount pub.

Food was quick. I was a bit disappointed in my dish, the hot pot. But everyone else was pretty happy with theirs. Beer and glasses were cold and refreshing. Pizza looked good, but didn't get it since we've had pizza a lot lately.

Food excellent. Order food or Pizza and the go to bar to order drinks. We had steaks, Very nice! Calamari was excellent. We didn't have it, but the open hearth food fired pizza oven smelled incredible.

Fast service, large meals. The steak on the ribs combo was thin and a little well done, but the ribs were excellent and the sweet potato fries were the best I've had in ages. The meal was a great size to share among 3 for lunch.

A typical bar setting. Cold light beer was good on a hot humid evening. The pizza dough was almost tortilla thin and crispy. The fish Taco was okay.

Arrogant pric serving pizza. I'm sat here enjoying a drink and he marches over to some poor bloke that ordered food and starts yelling at him! Wow mate. Come to the UK and try pulling that $hit. If you hate your job so much, leave.

A local favourite bar and restaurant because it offers a wide range of pizzas cooked in their wood-fired pizza oven, and the food is consistently good. Eat in or have them as a takeaway. Their dinner menu is extensive, and includes vegetarian options. Try the supreme pizza or the vegetarian pasta or the prawn chorizo spaghetti for mains for an out of this World dining experience. Seriously, everything was cooked to perfection - food was fresh and full of flavour, juicy and delicious. And generous in size and reasonably priced and served quickly. Staff were friendly and professional and the restaurant was very clean and seating was comfortable for couples or families. VERY HIGHLY recommended 👏👍😊

A great pub that provides a consistent experience. They do good food.
We come here because they have gluten free pizza and vegan cheese. Sometimes excellent other times so so. But the fact they have something that my kids can devour gives them a big tick.
Plenty of space with and outdoor courtyard area.
Bar with a large selection.
Not much more to ask for from a pub

After such poor service from the Manager at the "Iron Bar".......
we found this awesome ALIVE & Happening joint in the next street 👏 😀 👍
we stopped in for a pint each & ordered take away pizza's 🍕 🍕 before heading back too Our resort. Pepperoni & margherita were good.
