מרפסת קטנה וחביבה.
פקידת הקבלה היתה נחמדה ואדיבה ועזרה לנו בכל הנדרש.
אכלנו במסעדת המלון. היה טעים ונעים.

You don’t need to move much from here. Lots of dining, heaps of pub entertainment, serious bottle shop. But you might. And if you do:||Use the courtesy bus. ||There’s no Uber, limited taxis, walking to the strip really isn’t an option. If you’re heading into town for Airlie in all its glory, just avail yourself of the free bus that rotates between “RGH” and the other town pleasures. No parking hassles, no queuing, no what-if. There and back, easy as. ||That friendly and professional service made my stay. Legend.

Worst steak ever. Tough, curled up piece of gristle & bone. No salad bar any more, not a patch on what it used to be ... haven't been for a while & it'll be a long time before I go back

When is it ever a good idea to book an extremely loud wedding reception till all hours, just outside the motel rooms where you have families trying to sleep.

We were up from the Gold Coast for the Melbourne Cup. Great venue. Good food. Friendly and efficient staff

We were here for just a night but the venue was great and the rooms were affordable.
Great air conditioning considering the humidity and the shower’s water pressure was good.
The beds were comfortable with plenty of storage.
Only a short 1 minute walk to the main bar and restaurant down an internal ramp. Such a good venue

We went out for a family dinner paying top of the line prices and the food was disgraceful. Not a single steak came out cooked as ordered and the sizes were far from what was ordered. At best the 350gm t bone was 180 gm and was burnt. Kids meal including ice cream inured and they had none and made no offer to replace or refund it. The veges or what there was of them tasted and appeared as though they were yesterday's, cold and hard. After making a calm complaint they just blamed covid and said they should not have had so many in that night. Lucky if there were 30 people all told. Poor service poor response and terrible meals.

We went here for lunch the qr me u system was down, we ordered but they did not out the order through properly

We went here for dinner and although at first we thought it was a little pricey what came from the kitchen more than justified the price tag and was great value

We stop in here everytime we go to Airlie. The food is always good and comes out fast.
The venue is also very child friendly, with a great indoors playground to keep the little terrors busy.

Went to the reef to give it another go after a bad experience 12 months ago when we were told that if we weren't there by 7 there would be no pizza ( there was nothing else on the menu to order )
This time our meal sat on the bench until it was cold and then tried to serve it to us. Our entrees, was completely forgotten. Use to be our local pub, but not anymore.

Went to bistro for dinner was absolutely hanging out for the Sunday roast this was at 6pm only to be told that they had run out but by time I was finishing my yucky fish and chips, I seen a roast meal being delivered to nearby table now I know for a fact these people came in well after us, I wasn't happy

Went here for a meal as it was walking distance from home.
Almost tripped over all the dogs getting in. I never knew animals were allowed where food is served.
Ordered a very expensive ($50) steak medium rare. The steak had a thinner side which was medium so I thought the thicker part would be medium rare. Turned out to be medium well. So never again for me

We have had 2 x lunches this week with a party of 12 and 8… food was amazing both days.. all ladies loved their food. I have food intolerances and so happy to see so many GF options on new menu. Elly was hostess with the most ! Service was awesome.. Di was also very helpful in bistro. Great visits both times. Lisa in the bar also full of smiles ! Great to see and will be back x

Was waiting for our delayed flight and though the local pub would have good food, order chicken Kiev, got 2 extruded pipe of chicken that you can buy a box of for $5 at Woolworth for $17 dollars on the lunch "specials".

Was a last minute booking, very happy, it was clean, had all I needed except a swimming pool. A little out of town, an hours walk but yes would recommend the price, friendly helpful people and cleanliness. Thanks Kaz

Walked in was greeted with a welcoming smile by the manager Ellie. Ordered lunch with my daughter. Super quick and the calamari was cooked to perfection. Fantastic atmosphere. Great food and amazing customer service from all of the staff. Would 100% recommend

Typical pub menu with not a lot of imagination... Caesar Salad was "OK" .... but $11.00 for 5 thawed tasteless prawns as a add on that were more than likely imported was a little underwhelming.... You can get a kilo of thawed prawns from Woolworths for $35 that taste fresher... The 5 prawns i received weighed probably not much more than 100grams....Come on guys... So much potential... So little imagination... Just don't be a pub.. be a place people want to come back to... Seems from reviews toppers are your downfall.

Thursday is great as they have a great T-bone special. However we went last Saturday and it was great for the kids with lots of dessert for them! Good food. Busy but that's the atmosphere you want at a pub.

The Whitsunday Golf Club returned to the Reef Gateway Hotel function room for their Christmas Party and Presentation evening after 3 years and Events Manager Paula Hovey did a great job looking after us. The set up and decorations were most attractive, the staff looked after us really well and everyone enjoyed the evening. Thank you Paula.

The usual menu and usual prices for a bistro. Only gripe, ordered vegan cheese pizza finally arrived after everyone else had finished their meals and it wasn't what I ordered. They were very apologetic but spoiled our last night in airlie beach.
Note: the reef hotel management has been in touch offering a sincere apology for my pizza night. A review of how the mix-up occurred has been done. I have also been given a gift voucher to use at another of their associated venues for which I am very appreciative.

The staff are friendly & pleasant we have been here 4 times in the last 5 weeks. We always arrive early in the evening & order before 6.15pm, despite this on all 4 occasions there have been items on the menu that were unavailable as they had run out, even meals from their specials board. On one visit we were given an extremely dirty salad plate, 3 times the ice cream machine was out of order, even though it is promoted as all you can eat desert bar. Since the take over of new management the desert bowls have shrunk in size to the point where they are that small a boiled egg would fill one up. On one visit one of the meals we received was not what was ordered and last night we ordered beef ribs. When it arrived at our table there was 18 chips & 2 only of the smallest ribs I have ever seen, cost $35. No longer value for money, not looking after the locals & can only imagine what out of town visitors to our region must think. Over all disappointing but consistent.

The room was very good and clean. Air conditioning, Wi-Fi and parking are very good. The water smelt a bit funky, but not sure if it's the problem with the hotel.

The Room is very big and clean the only thing it needs is to have a place to have breakfast the Reef hotel doesn't serve breakfast they have coffee but no milk today didn't get charged for it though. Breakfast is important even if it's only coffee and toast

The place is wonderful. It has all the amenities you require, kids play areas, bistro, etc. The meal I had was awesome, and all the ones coming out also looked great. Highly recommended! Will definately visit again.

The fam and I had a fantastic time here tonight. Beautiful clean space, fun for the whole family. Food was awesome - big serves, speedy service and Yum. Staff provided great customer service, Special mention for Dennis - who went above and beyond, for that, I say thankyou 🙏🏼

The bistro was quite over priced for what you got. Not a very wide range of gluten free options.
Drinks also over priced. Disappointing.

The accommodation was fantastic! Neat and tidy rooms, beds confy, nice big TV ,was lovely to come back to made beds daily ,cleaning staff where wonderful. Reception was amazing at accomidating my needs buy keeping my bags for me until my bus to train came to pick us up.And when my connecting train bus was 30 mins late she rang around trying to find out where it was ,even calling in favours from personal friends, and even thinking of she may have to drive us herself. Which I appreciated so much as my son was having a panic and so was I actually. So I could not fault here at all.one thing I wished they had in the room was a free standing airer to hand towels/togs on but that was my only wish and it's only minor. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Staying over the road at the big 4, this place is brilliant. Perfect for kids as they have a great play room. The food was great too, big meals! And to top it off there was hardly any wait time. Best to book in advance as they do get busy but I can 100% understand why!

Spent one night for $140 and got multiple bed-bugs bite during sleep. It means that the hygiene there is absolutely poor. The part that got bitten is swollen up real badly and glow bright red.
P/s: room 20 upstairs was the room.

Recently, I had my sister up from Victoria and put her up at the reef gateway, and she absolutely loved it.
Well priced rooms and a great location,awesome food, and the best locals,
They sure do like to have a laugh there!
If you are ever up them neck of the woods drop in and have a icy cold beer and feed,
then and go out to the public bar for some belly laughs,
Big shout out to all the managers and staff for going above and beyond to make her stay memorable.

Quaint little hotel with affordable rooms.
They do room service from the bistro downstairs and it was always extremely quick and tasty!
Would definitely have not enjoyed as much if I was in a downstairs room though as there was a fair amount of foot traffic passed the porches, but upstairs had nice views and were more private

Poker here on a Wednesday is brilliant, grab a meal play a little pool and then get knocked out of poker quickly so I can go back to the pool tables or so I say.... Probably shouldn't drink as much ahahaha

Over the top expensive . Chillis in my salad and told there was NO spice in the meal. $38 wasted as could not eat it. Top top it off No one seemed to give a Cr@p.. seemed to think it was funny somehow. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE.

Ordered the crumb steak ,tastes like burnt oil .the mushroom topper was very disappointing made with cream and hardly any mushrooms....maybe try beaf gravey and chunks of fresh mushroom .....won't go again

Ordered our meals were told it would be a 45 minute waited over an hour and half later our meals finally came and we were so disappointed. Steak was so dry and crumbed steak needed to be cooked more. Some
Our group ordered on line and didn’t even get their meals at all. Weren’t even offered to have them cooked the staff just said they didn’t cook it and gave a refund. Drinks were also ordered over the app and both times the staff member brought the drinks out he was extremely rude and told us to not order over the app again. Will never be back. Worst meal ever and staff attitudes were disgusting.

Ordered a Rump steak and when it finally came it was like old boot leather in appearance and taste.It looked more like a Woolworths Scotch fillet than a piece of Rump.I waited an hour and paid $ 29 for something I wouldn't feed to a dog.
To top it off it was cold.

Not a very pleasant experience. I ordered a prawn salad that came out with whole prawns (needed to be peeled) and had no flavour other than dried basil sprinkled on the top. I'm not usually someone to leave reviews but this wasn't nice.

My friend booked a room and asked for the quietest room. I think she said about noise from the hotel area. We got the room closest to the noisy Shute Harbour road. Needed a ground floor room but had 2 steep ramps to get to it, until we found going out the back door the driveway wasn't as steep. Beds were comfortable, shower nice hot water. Overrun by tiny ants. Part of cupboard looked like it had been chewed by rats. Old carpet, old cupboards. But you get what you pay for.

Lunch was ok. May have had some impact from a staffing issue, however our table was not cleaned properly, the steaks were not cooked as ordered, and salad was undressed and more of a garnish rather than a side. That said, the staff were pleasant and accomodating.

Location great, very peaceful, staff lovely however few faults with room - my air conditioner didn't turn off at all and was pretty filthy (wasn't happy because I already have a chest infection), mini bar fridge was leaking on the carpet, my door was super hard to open and bathroom bit dated - there is a sign in the room stating that they are undergoing renovations so hopefully this room is up for one too :)

Large rooms and private balcony. Great views on the upper level facing the mountain where we were. No kitchen facilities, however, the attached bistro had a great half-price deal on offer, so we were able to get a great feed for a reasonable price all delivered to the room. Very comfortable stay.

I've not personally experienced this venue, but I did see this semi-trailer obnoxiously emblazoned with the flag of the U.S. The venue doesn't seem to be particularly U.S centric, so why they feel it's appropriate to cut through the Australian countryside waving the flag of another country is beyond me.

It was very busy when we went to the Gateway hotel for dinner. We had to wait a while for our meal but Maria the wonder woman got us a drink on the house while we waited. I would hire Maria on a minute, she carried a table and chairs for us to sit down.

I think a picture speaks a thousand words. As you can see, the $12 garlic prawn topper is 3 prawns that have not been cleaned properly (this is the first time I’ve ever been served prawns without the spine being split and cleaned out) in a drizzle of garlic sauce that wouldn’t top more than 2 mouthfuls of schnitzel. Also, please don’t advertise that the meal comes with a salad if that is what you are putting on the plate.
My daughters cheese pasta was literally pasta with grated cheese on it. I urge the chef to attempt to eat that bland bowl of pasta and see how it tastes.
The other meals we good, especially the loaded sweet potato fries.
The service was not service, it was just staff doing the bare minimum. On arrival, the waiter who met us looked at us, grabbed 4 menus, walked us to a table and walked away. No greeting or instruction on how or where to order. I am very friendly and got nothing back.
When the meals were delivered, they were announced and placed on the table. Despite me saying looks great, thanks mate, I was greeted with silence and the waiter ( a different one to the original) just walking back to the kitchen.
The same level of service was given when we ordered at the counter. No matter how polite and friendly we were, it is like they are robots just doing their programmed roles. A smile wouldn’t go astray or maybe a kind word.
Unfortunately I won’t be back to see if the service improves, but I certainly hope it does

I stayed at the Reef Gateway Motel in March. Reception customer service was excellent. I was upgraded in my accommodation when I arrived due to not wanting steps the staff were more then helpful. Very budget friendly clean, tidy and comfortable.
The Reef Gateway Hotel is part of the complex. I have had meals on three occasions. A local hotel with local flare. I am a return customer for the meals, highly recommended Chicken Parma the staff are friendly and great service. The meals are reasonably priced.
Check out the website as they have triva nights etc. Big screen television for those who enjoy sports.
Recommend eating in the outdoor area.

I never go out of my way to bad review anywhere but this place is putrid. They dont make cocktails so we were going to leave but the menu looked nice so we stayed to see what the food was like. when it came to ordering my meal, the lady was the rudest iv delt with in A LONG TIME. I asked for garlic butter instead of normal butter on the lobster & crumbed fish instead of grilled.. both of which where to hard and the blonde older lady that served me gave nothing but attitude when asked for these changes.. wouldnt add chicken to nasi goreng.. just said rudely 'it comes how it comes'. The toilets where also filthy & there was no soap. I will NEVER come back here & will advise everyone on fb & ig to do the same. Its embaressing to have a place like this in such a good location

Imagine a hotel that was built when Bowling alleys were all the rage. It has that almost a castle theme but not quite. Then imagine you never update that room again. This is where you’d be staying for the night. It wasn’t “dirty” but nothing, ever, had been updated and it shows. Everything just looks worn, from the tiles to the quilts to the carpet. Perfectly fine if you need to stop o we for the night but you wouldn’t want to do it much longer.

I have started to come to the Reef Gateway on a Thursday night for the trivia. There's a group of at least 10 of us each week, and everyone is loving everything about it. Great food, always tasty and good size portions. Good selection of beer and wine and all the guys working there seem helpful and happy.

If you want a great pub meal to feed hungry mouths, this is the place to go. Chicken wings were tasty but a bit meh, but very big serve for an entree. All other meals (rump, crumbed steak, grilled peri peri chicken) were awesome, and the staff super friendly. Will be back

Group of 7 of us being 3 adults and 4 kids went for dinner. The menu was quite expansive from huge steaks, pasta, seafood to pizza and awesome ribs. Price was a little higher than I'm use to for a pub but it was better than average pub grub, Salad bar and dessert bar too. Probably a good idea to book.

Great location able to get to it via their courtesy bus or walk across to from accommodation. Staff were nice enough didn't know much about their products tho and. The floor layout needs to be organised a bit more, patrons are given a table number when ordering food thus leaving staff walking around playing spot the table number which looks very unprofessional. The quality of food was good however some of the items were overpriced for their worth eg entre prawns $25 when you only get 6 or 7 and they were just plastic import prawns should be more priced at $16.

Good value for money if you're on a budget. Rooms are dated but very very spacious. Location is not the greatest but there is a bus stop right in front of the hotel that will take you straight to Airlie Beach in 10 minutes. There's also a good bottleshop and Brewery in walking distance.
On a slightly sour note the shower was broken - it'd turn off in the middle and either squeal or knock. Also pretty mouldy. Had I stayed for more than a single night I'd probably switch rooms.

Food was simple and good. Rooms were clean tidy and spacious. TV worked and I'm good position (some places it isn't) cleaning staff friendly, as reception and bar area. Great to have bar and bistro next to rooms. Reasonably priced.

Food was really average. Undercooked vegetables. I got 4 small pieces of calamari in my entree. The coleslaw had no dressing. Completely dry. But that's how people like it apparently. Very disappointed.

Food was fabulous (dining with a party of 7) so an array of food was ordered. The only complaint (if you'd call it that) not everyone could fit their meal in !!! Bar service was excellent - the 2 young gentleman working the night obviously enjoyed their jobs. A great night had by all celebrating my son's 25th birthday. Thanks for a memorable night Reef Gateway.

Got the roast dinner, it was like a dogs dinner.
What came out looked nothing like the picture with half of the ‘trimmings’ missing, just came with 3 raw potatoes and a few soggy sweet potatoes.
The meat was like I took of my shoes and started eating them as it was so dry and fatty, there was nearly the same amount left of the plate that came out!
The napkins on the table had a nice lather of pasta sauce, went to grab some at another table and they had lovely smearing of sauce too. The whole place smelled like dirty socks and the inside of the eating area was like a playground with kids screaming and running into the back of our chairs.

Eye fillet and Rib on bone both ordered medium, came well done. Were replaced but still couldn’t get right. Disappointing in this day and age, $85 on dinner. It’s the inconvenience that’s the bother when getting it wrong when out with friends. So annoying

Came for dinner and state of Origin. Small problem with a courtesy bus, but that's a first world problem that didn't stop us from going there. Management assisted with the issue well and sorted out the communication problems with telstra. All good. We got there safe and got home safe.Thank you to this great hotel. The food and service were 5 stars. Staff were friendly and awesome. Thank you to all of you for great food and service. 5 🌟

Borris the courtesy bus driver absolutely made our night. Chatty, friendly and very familiar with the menu and area. I was going in for pizza and by the time we arrived, he had me sold on the steak. The scotch fillet was to die for. Beautifully cooked! Works burger and the calamari were amazing! Reasonably priced and not a long wait. On the way back to our accommodation he gave us some recommendations for breakfast too. I would highly recommend dining here.

Arrived after 7pm to check in after being assured someone would be on the after hours phone to check us in. Turns out no one answered after 30 times trying to call leaving messages and emails. |It’s ok though, because they avoided our calls all the next day after we decided to continue driving the following morning.|Pretty awesome car park tho for sleeping in the back of your hatch back! |Cheers guys

A noisy night at the bistro. Our table settled amongst all the children outside the kids room . A menu covering all the bases for choice . At our table of six the meals arrived staggered.The salad bar was a mess , kids grabbing desserts bare handed , salads mixed in desserts. Staff hygiene poor - one barmaid running her hand up her nose whilst asking me what I wanted - but not washing her hands . To top it off, while we were still eating staff were vacuuming the floor around us. All up good basic fare but could be great

A nice Tav with everything you need on site.... coutesy bus... a bit pricey but quality food and nice salad bar. Latest pokies.... pool table, sports bar, accomodation, bottle shop, nice events, family/kids friendly..... clean and relax atmosphere. Welcoming staff.

Accommodated a large group last minute which was lovely. However, was served powdered mash, was given main meals whilst still eating entrees without hesitancy and served wrong condiments. All whilst being served drinks at the bar with no eye contact and an attitude that felt that they would rather be else where. Food was pretty decent apart from powdered mash and timing. A break between courses was required, which made it much less enjoyable as our mains were getting cold whilst eating our entree.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service from the manager.
Came in as a table of 9. We made 3 orders consisting of 3x garlics breads 2x entrees 2x kids meals and 6x mains. We requested all the food to arrive together particularly so that the person who ordered an entree as a main wouldn’t need to eat alone. Within 5-10 minutes of ordering we received 2x of the garlic breads. Approximately 10 minutes or so later the two entrees came out along with the remaining garlic bread. After another 10-15 minutes they brought out 4x mains and the 2x kids meals. Myself and my wife were still awaiting our main meals we did ask a waiter who simply said “sorry we have a new chef on tonight” After another 15 or so minutes 1 of our family members noticed their chicken schnitzel was really soft. Took his flashlight to it and noticed it was raw. We called for a waitress to get a manager. When she came over she said “we are a really busy place” no apology or anything. We also brought up the issue we were still missing two meals and that nothing had been brought out as requested. She didn’t seem to care at all. At that point the remaining two meals were bought out which we refused as myself and my wife weren’t confident eating chicken schnitzels after seeing one already served raw. One of our other family members refused to eat the rest of his meal as he was too scared to have raw chicken as well. We had to ask several times to be refunded for the meals we didn’t want due to the raw chicken issue. The manager eventually said “you can have your refund and you’ll never come back here again” as if I would even risk my or my families health in that way. On top of this another family member ordered a rare steak that was more than well done. We have contacted the Queensland health department and reported the chicken issue and hope they follow up with the venue. We are not unreasonable people and firmly believe that mistakes can and do happen. It’s how mistakes are handled that show the integrity of a business and the manager on duty Tuesday 18/7 did not handle our situation correctly. We received no apology whatsoever for the mix up on when received all our meals and most importantly we received no apology for being served RAW chicken.

$8.50 for a tooheys new tap beer that s $17 for two tap beers way over the top for a out of town pub: Banjos bar and bistro which is just up the road is only $6.50 . Not going back this is Not a cheap locals pub be warned, also the jubilee tavern is Allegedly owned by the same owner that would explain why that establishment is very expensive also
