We went to Risk after a long time. The waitress was lovely, helpful, and polite. However, one of the dishes we ordered was not cooked properly (raw chicken). Two ladies that looked like the owner/manager were very rude at checkout when we asked about our receipt as everything was coming as different items than the ones we ordered, which they bluntly replied that's how the system works....

We usually love going to Oakleigh for Greek food but this experience
was dissapointing: overpriced place with the worst food we have tried.
I made a booking online a few days before the dinner, confirmed it via a phone call to ensure it would be inside. On the day of our dinner we were told that the only available table was outside as they had a function inside.
The chicken parmigiana was served raw. Mix meat grill for 2 was served with unevenly cooked meat costing $60. Mix grill of seafood for $90 was tasteless.
Definitely not coming back.

Walked in to find female staff being rude to customers in front of us about seating- hardy any customers at the time.Then she rolled her eyes and complained to another staff member. Our turn to be served She spoke bluntly and directed us to a table toward the doorway. No service for a while so I proceeded to the bar to order drinks. Still no service even though they were not busy. We left and had a lovely meal next door at another establishment

Wait staff were absolutely lovely, however wouldn’t recommended due to extremely rude guy that works there (seemed like one of the owners) who ruined our experience. He spoke really rudely to our group and had an attitude when we had issues with our meal, really ruined the vibes of our dinner.

Very dissapointed on all fronts.
Meat was completely over cooked, service could not get the orders correct after multiple requests.
On looking in the kitchen , one chef and one assistant and there lies the problem .
Totally understaffed for the type of food and the volume of customers.
I would recommend trying else where.

What would Risk do without him?
With a restaurant full of diners, and just himself and the dishwasher in the kitchen, we were all served beautifully and in a timely manner.
Food was delicious as always.
It’s no wonder we keep returning to Risk Bar.

Tried the beetroot risotto. Kid loved it. Lamb salad was good too. Will come back to try other stuff. Only downside was bit on the $$$ side. Also the risotto although on specials board was charged at full price.

The best food in Oakleigh!!!
Even though this is considered as a bar, it still surpasses every restaurant in the whole area.
The Fish Platter is amazing!
Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful music.
Closest thing to being in Europe!!!

The best Amaretto sour taken me back in time!. Maria makes the best version of all your favourites including my friend's margarittas for the night.. Made our night and would strongly recommend all newbies learn from her experienced skills to make for a well rounded heightened experience- hint hint😁 Not to mention we keep coming back for the detectable garlic skewer prawns, chargrilled octopus and calamari😋😋😋

Terrible experience
Booked a table well in advance for my daughter’s 21st birthday & specifically asked for a table inside due to elderly relatives coming. Was seated at an inside table to be told half an hour later that we could no longer sit there we had to move outside. It was a freezing cold, windy & rainy day. It was too cold for the oldies to sit outside. We had to find another place at the last minute. Definitely will never go back

Rude customer service wait nearly 2hrs for some to take our main order. When ask for a coke huffed under her breath and rolled her eyes…When paid the bill no eye contact or conversation eg how was your meal today instead rolled her eyes when ask to split the bill… food was amazing but customer service will be the reason to people not go back!!!

Risk Bar is new in Oakleigh and is doing a good job of providing a good dining experience in the face of lots of nearby competition. With a bar-like atmosphere, Risk has a cosy feel and attentive service. I had the mixed souvlaki, which was well-priced and tasty in a serving size a little smaller than some competitors but perfectly adequate for an evening meal. My daughter had the signature burger with a tasty double beef patty and all of the trimmings. The chips with both meals were great.
Overall a pleasant and relaxing experience.

Risk Bar is a outstanding Restaurant with a fantastic menu, the atmosphere is great, definitely a perfect place to enjoy a good meal with good company. The staff are friendly and very welcoming, the food is absolutely top notch, the kitchen deserves a round of applause 👏🏼 I Highly Recommend Risk Bar! You will not be disappointed.

My partner and I visited Risk Bar on Friday Oct 22nd and had an extremely rude and disrespectful experience. We ordered drinks at Risk Bar and whilst we were enjoying them, we were rudely told we could not eat the food we had as they were not from Risk. My partner mentioned that we had ordered drinks from here and none of the other guests were eating any food from Risk regardless. The manager pointed to a dark corner in the alleyway and said we would have to stand in there and finish our meals, leaving our drinks unattended before we were able to return.
We should have been concerned considering all the other nearby places were jam-packed apart from Risk, however it now makes sense. My suggestion would be to avoid Risk and go to any one of the other lovely bars Oakleigh has to offer.

I have to say I have seen better service in my day. My friend and I felt rather uncomfortable though our dinner experience.
After a minute of sitting down we were asked for drinks, and felt quite pressured to order. We weren't made awear of a time to leave so it did seem quite rushed. I even had to fill up our water glasses with a jug I found on the bar... We were never offered a second drink either..
On the plus side the food we had was amazing we even had some to take home. I recommend for take away :)

Great food, attentive staff, very nice restaurant.
Only complaint is they served us a bottle of unchilled white wine.
Otherwise a 5 star

Food done beautifully and just an amazing experience overall. No fuss, quick service and everything tasted great. Could not have been easier. Price is on the higher-end but worth it. Definitely give it a try!

Fantastic food, chef is amazing. Most of the waitstaff are great.
One waitress (don't know her name) is cold and arrogant. Blonde and attractive, she has an attitude that we're just lucky to be there.
Other servers like Mason and Nicky are fantastic.

Exceptional, would rate at 10 stars. I had the mixed grill plenty of high quality meat. The young fellow had the risk burger, he described as sensational. My wife and daughters meals equally good. staff were delightful, and great $ value for an evening out.

Disappointed. Booked with their online system Quandoo, received their confirmation email said "Your reservation is confirmed", show up on time and they told me they won't recognize my booking and therefore there is no table for us. Don't make my mistake by trusting their online booking, call for a table instead.

Best quality, fresh food, I enjoyed the vegetarian options they have and environment is very welcoming and service was nice as well.

A really affordable option in Oakleigh! I ordered the gyros plate that had plenty of food on it, only costing $25. I thought it was really good value for money. It had chips, your choice of meat, pita and salad too! Highly recommend and a less busier option on a Saturday night!

Absolute joke! I made a booking for tonight for my partners birthday only to find you are closed! Why was I not notified?? So unprofessional.
Could not find another suitable place for dinner and drinks at this time of night. You've ruined a birthday night, she didn't have 2 birthdays out because of lockdowns and now this..

Absolute gem of a find. Everywhere else was closing at 7pm in Oakleigh Christmas Eve yet Risk stayed open and I'm glad it did. Fresh food, beautiful presentation, brilliant wait staff and chefs, we will definitely go back there.
