We enjoyed a wonderful lunch. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious. Can definitely recommend the Ice Cream Sandwich!

Top feed from the kitchen team. Smitty snitty awesome. Salad refreshing. Entrees were a knock out. Great service and staff are welcoming and helpful. Atmosphere and setting 10/10 what more can you ask for on new years eve. Thanks all highly recommend. Will be back again and again cheers

Today our party of 5 had the most delicious meals we have ever had from anywhere.
I highly recommend this Hotel for the best of everything... Comfort, Service, the Best Meals and a great River View. Indoor & Outdoor Undercover Seating. + a Kids Play Area. It's a Nice Ol' Country Hotel with a great Family Friendly Atmosphere. 10+/10

The oiliest waste of $100
Absolutely disgusting
My parents and I thought we’d stop in for dinner as there aren’t too many decent places around so we tend to stay at home and cook most of the time and this was a perfect reminder as to why.
Absolutely no love or effort put into even one dish we had.
The garlic bread was undercooked and tasted as though they’d forgotten the garlic entirely.
There was enough oil on my fish to varnish every table in the establishment and the deck.
The $45 steak was more than half grizzle and fat and the batter on everything in the fisherman’s basket was utterly inedible.
We’ve all come home feeling physically ill due to an old oil overdose. Have never had such an awful dining experience.
Absolutely vile. Wouldn’t step foot in the place again if I was paid to.

Staff were excellent, friendly, cheerful, helpful. Food was about 15% over priced for what was delivered. The Decor definitely needs an upgrade, with the Plywood chairs?

Portion size is not to bad. Flavours were good. I didnt pay attention when ordering a stir fry that I needed to order the rice/ noodles over and above, if I wanted them. I think the meal would have been better if I got a little less stir fry but the rice or noodle was included.
The eating area was nice and clean. ,The outdoor area was nice and tidy and welcoming. With a nice play area for kids.
I would recommend a better defined smoking only area. But overall a nice place to go

That food is spot on 10/10 hands down the best chef.

Not happy, usually such good food. The amount of green garnish on the wings and fries was horrible. The wings basically had no sauce on them because it was all on the garnish. My daughter was not impressed and either was I. What happened to the good food you used to serve???

Just had a meal here, boathouse bistro. $28 for Thai beef infused stir fri. 4 pieces beef and glug rice. Small as.
Not worth $10.
First and last meal!

It was on Mother's Day and the wait for our food was almost 2 hours , will know better next time not to go on a special day , how ever nice place , and the food is nice.

Higher end of traditional hotel pub dining.
Authentic local buzz.... Traditional menu, nicely presented tasty food.
Good hot and chunky chips.

Great food, best chicken schnitzel I've had in a while anywhere, juicy on the inside & perfectly crispy on the outside. Lovely staff & great views on the river.

Great food, awesome location on the river brilliant service I highly recommend. This is our go-to place in the area for lunch, never disappoints, plus amazing! Table service is so refreshing that you don't have those dam buzzers. Congratulations on great food and service.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for dinner and the food was delicious, had the snapper special and husband had the nachos and wedges, all the food was tasty. Service was very friendly and the chefs accommodated me being annoying and moving things around with the dish i ordered. Beautiful outlook, cold drinks and a nice country vibe. Highly recommend, best meal i've had in ages. Stayed for a bit of trivia, - only advice is it ran abit slow and we gave up but was fun regardless whilst we were there.

After not attending the Riverview Hotel Smithtown for a few years now now because of the previous owner of a few years back running it into the ground we had heard the pub was under new ownership. WOW What a surprise, the food was fantastic and the service was excellent. Definitely highly recommend calling in for a meal or just a cold beer with a great view.
