Relaxed budget hotel with a bistro, river views & a sports bar, plus a game room with slot machines. Overlooking the Ross River, this laid-back budget hotel is a 12-minute walk from Tony Ireland Stadium, 2 km from the Pinnacles Gallery and 4 km from the Willows Sports Complex. We stayed one night and couldn’t believe it when we saw our room, the floor hadn’t been vacuumed and the bathroom, there was used soap on the shower floor. There was a bread wrapping tie on the floor, and nothing had been wiped down, so disappointing. We really think they meant to come back and finish cleaning but somehow it missed out. The bed was big and comfortable, however it was noisy, the air conditioning or something.
Must say, the meal was great, really enjoyed it.

Went out for lunch and thought we would give this place a go .
I ordered pork belly bites and porterhouse steak, pork belly had no flavour and undercooked. The salad on the side was my go to on that plate !
The steak was over cooked as if the chef went for smoko and forgot the stake was on the pan ! The fat on the steak looked like crackle (the pork belly fat should have looked like this) mushroom sauce was charged extra !?
My partner got the chicken burger - with the first bite she said her burger taste weird so I had a bite , the chicken was cold, the only taste it had was old oil and burnt crumbs.
The chips were great .
Drinks were great ! They came out of a tap
Please don’t finish renovating , just sell or close.

Went for lunch with two friends. Restaurant and Bars were very clean and tidy service to tableware quick polite and efficient. All meals were very well presented and tasty. A large crowd developed over the lunch period.

Was looked down on by staff and other customers. I had to check to make sure I didn't have a second head. Was rudely spoken to as well by the troll who was working the gaming room. If the food is as bad as the service I wouldn't recommend eating here. I won't be back.

The portion sizes here are huges, they do great steaks, chicken parmis and chips. It's nice when it's not too busy, but when it's busy it's a bit hectic and feels like a zoo. Can recommend it though if you want to go and chill out somewhere with decent food and a drink.

Rooms are dated, but comfortable. Hot water and pressure were amazing. Food downstairs was pretty good, a typical pub feed, not over priced, just good value and tasty. Location was awesome for what we needed

Not bad view despite the construction, car park is disgusting to park in with many giant pot holes.
Should stick to normal pub food and try the food before they put it on the menu.

nice place be better when the renos are.finished food ok nothi g to rave about eaten here a few times but not be thrilled with our meals.

Met up with some friends here who had ridden their bikes from Rowe's Bay. Nice meals at affordable prices. Nice views of the Ross River.

Love the new makeover of the tavern! The steak was perfect and much improved compared to before the revamp.
I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and wasn't impressed, however. There was barely any toppings (maybe 1 piece of pineapple on a single slice) and the toppings that were on the pizza were only in the centre. The rest was just cheese.

I went to RVT with my friends for having dinner.
We ordered ribeye steak, chicken tenders, pork rib, and chicken wing.
We’ve been waiting for re-opening for a long time.
So perfect, delicious food all we had.
Especially, steak was so beautifully cooking.
We ordered medium-rare. It was perfect.
Also coleslaw was good match with pork rib.
Thank you for perfect dinner you guys made.

I stayed in one of the Riverview Tavern rooms and had dinner there both nights of my stay. the room was clean and spacious, great value for the price. both of my meals there were also good value. My steak was cooked just right (medium rare), the meals were a good size and were served hot. All of the staff were friendly and all interactions were completed efficiently. thanks Riverview, see you next time.

Hawaiian pizza came out twice without pineapple. The third time it came out the chef had put half a can of pineapple on it, threw it back in the oven to heat the pineapple which meant that the outside was burnt . No extra cheese just pineapple shoved on the top. WOW!
Onion rings were amazing, tacos and chicken wings were in but nothing special

Have been here several times and this is usually our go to for a meal out. After tonight’s meal I can not see myself coming back here. My meal was unappealing, undercooked and not seasoned at all. It was even cold and soggy in places.
The meal showed no talent and the cook needs to review their love for the job.

Great room! Very affordable accommodation. Clean and reasonably quiet. Meal was tasty but very small if you have travelled all day with seedy servo slop box.

Great food with great service. Ample sized meals. Enjoyable lunch overlooking the water. The only "negative" would be that there was a boxing fight on so every tv was blaring at near max volume..which took away from the quiet, peaceful Sunday lunch. Will be back!!

Good pub, also got to meet the local legend "weir warrior" down there, he had a quiet day but still managed to catch a 2.7m Barra while we watched while have a few beers 👍🏼

Food was amazing as well as the service. All the employees were respectful and kind. The service provided by Daley was impeccable and was a role model for all. The trivia night provided an enjoyable activity that involved everyone. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous location for a quick lunch or evening outing, the few times I've visited food has been at 9/10 standard, service has been 10/10, though to be honest I've never visited at proper peak times, I'm looking forward to seeing the renovations completed, looking amazing so far Riverview.

Excellent view of the river and great potential for afternoon lunches.|The place is let down by a terrible menu and just rubbish lunch menu.||The laminated menus on the tables say live music from 12-4pm Sundays, this is incorrect. There is no live music.|The food ordering section feels very cheap and houso.|Needs a good chef to re do the menu and some money invested in the outdoor area. I guess since it's the o ly pub in the area the owners know that the locals dont have anywhere else to go so they don't care its so backwards.|I prefer to drive 10 minutes further and get table service and a view of the strand.

Dinner was horrible. Pork belly had been leftovers from another night, reheated. Steak was so chewy left my mouth sore and couldn't eat it. Mash potatoes tasted weird. Ribs were old and reheated drenched in over powering sauce. About the only thing they got good was my mushroom sauce. Service was good with friendly staff.

Beginning to like this place again, meals are nice. Just don’t go in trivia night - way to noisy and takes priority over dining customers. This is the Pasture Platter. Enough for 3 or 4, there was only 2 of us so we were a bit overwhelmed. Tasty chicken.

Awesome venue however the chef there needs to treat her staff with more respect. The way she spoke to her staff was very poor. I would never put up with being treated with such disrespect and nor should they. You get more bees with honey than vinegar.
