Went to the Rose and Crown for lunch on Saturday with 23 people from our social club. Never been there before so didn’t know what to expect. OMG 😱 was I surprised. The staff were fantastic, the service was wonderful, the dining room area was awesome and the meals were absolutely delicious. Everyone had something different and the reports from my friends was that it was an amazing lunch and they would definitely return. So thank you to all the staff. It was an excellent lunch.

Very poor service!!!
My family and I had a booking for 6pm for dinner. 7 adults and 4 children. 3 children’s meals came out at 7pm the last one at 7.30pm, the adults meals started to come out at at 7.45pm and the last one at 8.15pm. I complained and wasn’t offered any compensation was just told they only had one chef on but they should have never have booked us if they couldn’t accommodate us. Most of the food was good but the steak was poorly cooked and was very gristly and couldn’t be eaten and also wasn’t offered a steak knife. Might have been a good idea to offer the children free ice cream as we had to wait so long after they had eaten.

Today myself and six friends chose to eat lunch here for our once a month lunch catch up. How pleasantly surprised we were with the meals. Everyone got their meal promptly and came out hot and with a fresh side salad. The staff were happy and the service was excellent.

Stayed in the accomadation for a long weekend. The place was lovely and clean and the bed were super comfy.
Nice and quite and the bathroom had great water pressure.
This was a total surprise and knocked it out of the park.
Staff lovely and polite.

Rooms are great when they're actually cleaned properly. I have stayed in the same room twice 1 month apart and there has been an item behind the furniture both times which shows the level of cleanliness. Staff are great except for Jodie who is completely rude.

Rooms are a bit old, noisy (we can hear people in the corridor or tv in the next room), no food available at the pub downstairs, no microwave in bedroom, nothing at walking distance to have diner except dominos pizza..

My partner and I thought it would be nice to have lunch at the Rose & Crown 5/4/23 but after ordering drinks was advised meals are no longer being served. Very disappointing. No signage prior to entering or on the bar to let people know.

I was truly impressed by the exceptional level of service and comfort provided by the Rose and Crown.
What truly set our experience apart was the amazing staff. There willingness to assist with absolutely any of our needs.
There professionalism and friendliness of the staff at the this venue was truly amazing.
Wether it's was attentive concierge, efficient house keeping team or the welcoming front desk staff and shift managers went well above and beyondto ensure our needs where met.
The Rose and Crown make you feel apart of there warm family and I highly recommend this accommodation for any future stays.
As I know my family will call this home when we are in Adelaide SA.
Lastly we would like to say Thank you to the wonderful staff at this venue for everything you done for us while staying there ❤️

It could get noisy in our room from the bar but that is to be expected. Meals where good and alway very quick. Service was also good.

I play pokies game on 8Jan2023 and after I lose more than a thousand you know when they close machine at 2am and win at the same time yours win is not added to the credit you already have they refuse to give what ever you win they told as it is already added to your credit but you know it’s is not. This pokies game store need and deserved people who are who honest to customer specially after you lost a lot money like me. Shame on their personality the way they lies to the person what ever they are.

I needed a quick place to stay one night, and even though I called at 10:00 PM at night, they still allowed for a late check-in. The facilities were basic, but nothing less than advertised. The noise from the pub below was minimal and didn’t prevent me from sleeping.
Returning a few weeks later. The dinner service was great, and the beers on tap refreshing.

I didn't have very high expectations given the bad reports I had heard about the place. We had just been to a funeral and decided as a group to have lunch there. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was great and so was the lunch. I would recommend the Rose & Crown hotel.

I Accidentally dropped my first and only drink and unfortunately the glass broke. I felt so terrible, up until the lady bartender told me that I had to leave 2mins after arriving. She was the most nasty uncompromising judgemental publican I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with, she was not even interested in what I had to say, I didn't get to say anything in my defence. I was disgusted and extremely embarrassed for myself and my wife. I'm a reasonable person and don't just go around breaking things on purpose. Hopefully she'll have a better attitude and remember that accidents happen you don't have to be a tyrant, we're not all misfits in Elizabeth. I'm not dissing anyone... I believe Even the misfits deserve some respect from the people who take their hard earned money...

Having a joyous wonderful time... the lovely lady who was working tonight made me a delicious coffee and was very accommodating. First time staying here and loving every minute of it. Coffee is superb 👌 my partner and I are very appreciative. Shout out to Arianna:) very nice person :) genuinely cares about people and her job. Respect! Works hard. Killa :)

Good points: Staff were warm and friendly and did their best. Dessert was lovely. The only reason for the 2 stars.
Bad points: my husbands schnitzel was so burnt he couldn't eat it. It took almost 2 hrs to get our entree, dinner and dessert. Only 3 staff appeared to be working and they were spread very thin. This meant it took over 10minutes waiting to get our drinks despite no one else waiting.

From the moment you walk in to the moment you walked out the experience was outstanding. The stuff welcome us straight away. Our seats was ready. The dining area was clean. We ordered and within 20 mins our food was ready. Fresh and homemade. Everything was well cooked, well plated. I've been to many pubs in my time and honestly this goes top 5. Do not let the location fooled you. If you want a beautiful meal and a place to take your family this is the place. I strongly recommend this to everyone. This is a place that needs to be back on the maps again. If I could give 10 stars I would!

Friendly staff. I ordered a meal in the Sports Bar. It came out quickly and was delicious. Served with salad & bread roll with butter portion. Good value for $12.

Exceeded my expectations for a small outer suburban hotel.
My room was large and clean. I was adjacent to the stairwell though and this was a bit noisy.
The restaurant offered good variety, daily specials and a discount for in-house guests.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Happy to recommend if you need accommodation in the Elizabeth/Playford area.

EDIT: Had an invite from a friend 2 nites later for same venue. Was not sure whether to cancel or attend. Well, what a totally different experience tonight was. Food served in 10 mins. Was a much bigger group and it was amazing service. Loved the food, staff were wonderful and compensated us for the service 2 days prior. I am glad I gave it another try, it's local so good to know we got somewhere local to go. Thank you, guys. Birthday girl was happy.
Waited way to long for food. We had a booking so they should have been prepared for our orders. 1 child had to eat food alone as meal arrived after all others had finished. Booking was for 6pm, left right after eating (so young children can get to bed. School night) was 8.30pm. Streak was grisly and uneatable. Very disappointed.

Conveniently located and easy to find. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy however bathroom was a bit cramped. Bed was very comfortable with an extra minky blanket supplied. Tea and coffee supplies in the room was a nice touch. I could just hear the noise from the pub but it wasn't loud and finished before 11 pm. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Restaurant within the building was nice although I did not receive any discount on my meal for being a guest.

Caring and kind staff made the experience even better. Unfortunately no kitchen on site yet but the staff are happily able to help you out finding a good place to eat.

An awful pub. Drug dealers everywhere. Girl at front bar with dreadlocks is clearly always on drugs and is possibly dealing drugs at the front bar/gaming room. Think her name was pimmot? They should be ashamed of themselves. Never again.

After Holden's closed this hotel has gone down hill. Wake up owners and make this hotel alive again. Pokies are just cash cows.

Accommodation a nice surprise and was very good, comfy, clean, modern renovated rooms, great beds slept so well here, Netflix, serviced daily, staff in the bar very friendly and helpful, and for the price great value !

Absolutely loooove this place!! Was the first place I actually won money at without having to put in hundreds of dollars. Keep up the fantastic job R&C!!!
