Where do I start. First off check in was not there and there was no way to contact them outside of calling. The staff was very friendly and was probably one of the only saving graces the place has. When we got to the room we were hit by an intense smell of smoke. My partner is asthmatic so that wasn't good. The bed was small barely big enough for two, and as we sat on it we heard this sound to me it sounded like a camera zoom in sound. It kept happening. There was plexiglass covering the window so you couldnt even open that. We inspected the cupboards it became very obvious the place hasn't been cleaned properly. That was very misleading by the photos we saw when we applied. There was black mold beside the cupboard, hair as well as some kind of pill inside of them. Seeing as we had been driving for 5 hours we had to have a break but right after we left as my partner began to have an asthma attack. We did not even bother asking for a refund for the 2 nights we were meant to stay. We did not feel it was worth arguing with them as it felt obvious that it was a scam of some form.

Was a great place to stay. Went to Sydney for a concert. It was situated two blocks away from Clyde and Granville station so it was situated perfectly for our needs. Probably a little pricey for one night as it only had a bed and TV. The bathrooms and showers were shared which we didn't have a problem with. All in all a decent place to stay

Unfortunately the owners here , are not only satisfied with the poker machine profits, they have decided to fleece the drinkers too. $6.00 for a middy now. 70-80c above the average prices in the inner West. Happy hour price now $6.29 schooner . I was wondering why the Bar was empty at 5:00 p.m compared to the hotels historic pricing policy on drinks.

Unfortunately. Room 18 was the stinkies room I've ever seen in my 40-year life! Horrible noises and staff or cleaners talking to each other in a very loud voice near my room. Absolutely terrible experience, and I would ever think of booking there again.

This pub is my favorite spot. But I have been disappointed since whenever I go there because of the server (The Waitress and the manager ). They are too rude today and always yelling to the customers around me , and me as well. Whenever I feel to have a drinks, I have to go to the bar and search for staff. Unfortunately, no one were available and I have to search everywhere just for the drink but staffs were hiding from the customer. The manager is so rude with me but the main thing is there was a girl looks like Indian, so unprofessional , unfriendly, and rude with me. That girl is the main personnel, I am adding this review for. Hope the management views this.

The room was Spacious and clean. Showers were great. It was a nice surprise to have cereal and toast provided for. But it was noisy. Not sure what it was but it was a humming loud sound. Maybe an aircon.

There should be customers servicing around the clock. They should be available all the time. Make sure they are busy all the time.

The only (and I mean it) positive features of this place is the location, 5 minutes away from the train station. The room??Really tiny, 1 small bedside table only(no chair,no table), full of mould on the ceiling, strongly smelling mould, dirty (hairs in the drawers and on the carpet), wardrobe with broken handle and a broken hinge, stained carpet, holes in the walls, old chipped and cracked door, impossible to open the window. The toilets?tiny, old, neglected, with holes in the walls, malfunctioning light. The pub?Always close. The dining/kitchen room? 1 kettle, 1 toaster,1 microwave. Neither a tap nor a sink.Zero cutlery/crockery. One single fridge the size of a microwave. All this 'luxury' is yours for only $100 per night. Never again.

The first thing that struck me was the art Deco interior. What a blast from the past. If Aldi ran pubs, this would be it, but they haven't invested the profits into the beer taps. Service is fantastic. It has that going for it. I had 2 jugs at 12:30pm and suffice to say it was the dead centre of town. Beer garden is nice, excellent place to have inflammatory conversations at exceeding volumes on the phone while your life is falling apart. Loses marks for the lack of pub identifying coasters. Lovely chambray pattern on the carpet. Great place if you're getting ripped off while purchasing a second hand car, or work at the local Boral factory.

Service was nice, price was great, and room was clean, showers are different. 1 is renovated and modern. Other one is old out dated but no issues. If I had to stay In the area I'd pay for the room again.

Rooms clean but very small. Well soundproofed from Parramatta Road noise but cleaning staff banged on door at 5:30 trying to get into a room. Claimed he was locked out?

Myself and a friend stayed here as we were attending a p!nk concert, it was close enough to the venue. The staff were friendly but not quick at service (waited 10 minutes to check in). Booking notes didn't mention that there is a 100 dollar deposit on the room + the room fee. The bed was comfortable but the room was tiny. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

My partner and I stayed fri-sat night for a concert in olympic park. 5 min walk to granville station, 20 min train ride to olympic park. Good service. Good hygiene. Nice and quiet. Free coffee and breakfast in the mornings. The manager was lovely and helped out heaps 100% would stay again.

Might be a decent place to swing past for a beer but avoid at all costs if you're looking for somewhere to stay!

It I could do 0 I would. Absolutely filthy, amenities we worse than a public toilet. Bathrooms weren’t cleaned daily. Not at all Covid friendly or hygienic. No hand towel was provided, soap dispenser or hand sanitiser. Walls were covered in hand marks and what appeared to be boogers. Hallway wreaked of body odour and urine clearly from the live in resident. A air fresher had to be installed on the wall beside the room. Bins weren’t emptied daily. Beer garden doesn’t exist like the photos say. Renovations should be happening inside as opposed to outside.

If you wanna waste your money and choose this haunted place then please do. Extremely rude staff and you share a dirty toilet with many people. I can't share the picture because there is no option but there were cockroaches everywhere. Filthiest ever experience I ever had. Happy to share some pictures but unfortunately I can't because there is no option

if I could rate it 0 I would. If you want a place to stay that is unhygienic then this is the place for you. Amenities were filthy and definitely not thoroughly cleaned. Bins in the hallway/bathrooms werent emptied daily. No hand sanitiser or papertowel is provided. Beds don't come fitted either mattress protectors nor are the doonas clean. rooms smell musky had to get my own incent to take the smell away. the hallway wreaked of body odour and urine from the live in resident. I did note a airwick freshener was fitted to the wall during my stay. Bedroom walls were absolutely atrocious with handprints and god knows what else. Photos provided definitely don't replicate my experience. The outside renovations should have been occurring inside. note beer garden is non existent. Staff were however friendly.

friendly staff (generously offered me bottles of water to take to my room after a long day trip) and small yet cozy room for one, shared facilities are neat and tidy, great for backpackers and weekends away for singles and couples 😌😌

for the price we paid it was good, the staff were very friendly, but the hotel felt sketchy and is overdue for a renovation (especially the doors and the shared bathroom & kitchen). probably wouldn't stay there again, but we only used the hotel at night to sleep, and in the morning to get ready, so it wasn’t too bad.

For convenience and cost 100%. Bed was greatbtonsleep in however there were no facilities to make a brew, there were no bed lights so had to get up to turn light off, and the shower was woefully inadequate, nowhere to put your dry clothes while you showered, and, the kicker was the stairs to get up to the 2nd floor just a hard option when your in your 70's. Overall, now knowing what to expect, I'd stay there again for the convenience. Oh, and doesn't serve food either.

As an Air New Zealand Airpoints member, this popped up when I was booking an emergency trip to Sydney for a very unexpected family funeral. It was reasonably close to family so had some “convenience” value. There was no mention on the website that it’s an operational pub, checkin was across the bar, which was deserted when I arrived apart from another guest looking for a staff member. I was mortified to discover this other guest was trying to complain about the website not stating the bathrooms were shared!!! I hadn’t realised this either, and was not very happy about it. Nor did they offer much privacy. I had booked a twin room, but my room, right at the top of the stairs was a single, with a single bed, wardrobe, side table and a tv (almost bigger than the bed!). The double glazing killed any road noise, but people up and down the stairs at 3am disrupted the little sleep I managed. Breakfast was provided - cereal etc, but not a proper dining room, not even a table to sit at! The linens were clean and the bed reasonably comfortable, but parking was difficult (pub patrons in the evening), staff were in short supply and although “recently renovated” the stairs creaked on EVERY step and it was hardly a relaxing atmosphere. Very disappointed overall, would not recommend.
