The staff here were very friendly and helpful. We went here on our way to the P!nk concert at Suncorp Stadium.
Two of us had steak, chips, and salad, and the other two of us had steak, mash, and vegies.
The steaks were cooked to perfection, just how we ordered them, and they tasted sensational.
Definitely worth a visit, try them for yourself. 👍

The RE Hotel is such a great vibe. Perfect for Friday afternoon drinks, watch the footy, and great food. Lisa, Jordan, James any of the staff and managers always makes us feel welcome and is super friendly. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual drink and a good time!

Service and vibe is good but the vegetarian nachos were not worth it for >$20. I could have thrown something better together at home in 5 minutes.
The owner said he will look into this so I have updated my review.

Pretty disappointing no toasters are offered anymore. Especially when you’re spending big money. This place has gone absolutely down

Our first visit to the Royal on a quiet Sunday night in April, was for drinks and a meal, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. It was good to see that these guys take their Covid-19 safety responsibilities seriously, with sign-in required and masks “de rigueur” at all times while moving around in the pub.
The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient, and everything ran smoothly for us from beginning to end. After drinks, we went back to the bar counter, where Chloe took our order of beer battered fish and chips, a rump steak with chips and vegetables and a serving of garlic bread for an entree. It took only a few minutes from time of ordering, until the meals were delivered to our table, in the correct order, and nicely presented on stylish, modern crockery. First came the garlic bread, followed by the two main meals. The garlic bread was a generous serve, with four chunky pieces of light and fluffy bread, smothered in creamy, moist garlic butter. The perfect way to start a meal. My fish was succulent and tender, and served with a nice selection of colourful vegetables and crispy chips. My wife’s rump was tasty and well cooked, just the way she likes it, and accompanied with a tangy mushroom sauce to spice it up, plus chips, and a serving of fresh, wholesome salad. We both enjoyed our meals, and at $53 for the lot, excellent value for money.
The Royal is a spacious and airy venue, with lots of room to spread out and large comfy tables with high bar-stool style seating. There are plenty of TVs around the place for those who like their sport, but overall, although not sports-lovers, we still found the ambience to be perfect for us: casual, laid back and relaxed. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves in this pleasant, homely and safe atmosphere.
There are two lots of toilets, both clearly signposted and easy to find. Like the rest of the place, they’re clean and well provisioned.
Having just recently moved to this area, I’m pleased that we’ve discovered the Royal, which will be our local pub from now on! And it’s a breeze to get to by public transport or car, being conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the popular Toowong Shopping Village, where you can enjoy two hours free parking any week day, or unlimited free weekend parking after 6.00pm.

Love attending on any given night. Great vibes with a variety of customers, especially on a Tuesday evening for trivia with Scotty. It’s great seeing a small business doing so well in this economical climate. Great staff members and customers.

i was sober and the royal exchange denied me i’m extremely dissatisfied with my experience, they were unnecessarily fair on us, not happy at all.

It just lacks something during the day. Too hot under the metal roof covering.
The best thing is it still is an old style pub architecturally with many rooms and two levels and has an air-conditioned old school style main room. Beer prices are standard and a good selection. 👍

I really love the sandwich. I tried lots of sandwiches. This is one of my favourite sandwiches. And the atmosphere is amazing too.

Has been my go to pub. Very convenient and good spot. Parking available. Good customer service and food.

Great little pub. Food is nice and tasty and simple pub food classics. Steaks are good, chicken wings are great. Pricing is on par with other pubs for food and portions are on the larger size.
Beer has good deals with under $12 jugs of certain popular beers.
Beers a re cold and been fresh when we have been. We go there at least once a trip to town when staying nearby.
Last one the only issue was the online ordering did not send all the drinks to the bar staff. They did make them for us as we had paid but the menu it app lacks a little like in many places.
But order at the bar and it is fast and staff are great.

Great food. Lovely service. Great prices. The ribs were delicious and fell off the bone. Chips seasoned perfectly. Sirracha slaw was spicy but delicious!

Friendly place and nearby to Toowong train station. Food is good. Only downside is the rump steak has been overcooked the last 3 visits. Ordered med rare, but not pink at all. Salad and chips are good.

Best burgers in Brisbane!! They were super nice and upgraded the State of Origin Burger meal to Balter XPA, for free! Awesome service and food 👍❤️ Keep it up guys

A solid high rating for this establishment. It isn't really a place one would usually recommend or think to go to. I secretly hope this continues so the crowds keep to a minimum. But its great to stop in for a casual visit and its convenient right in the heart of the toowong business district. Since coming here I've experienced reeeeally good service consistently. The food is actually the best and is what keeps us coming back so often, but don't wish to tell anyone for fear of it becoming over populated
