Would have given zero stars if possible! Lost my phone there and when I went to pick it up a gross old white man who apparently owned the place told me it was an un-written rule to give money them for them keeping my phone safe and returned it. All the other staff were so lovely and happy I had the phone back. But this old white man was incredibly disrespectful and spoke down to us. He guilt tripped us into paying him. Royal George is clearly for the gross old white men. Byeeeee

Went for dinner for the second time and food and music were good. Only thing was a distinct urine smell inside which I couldn't locate. I sat in 2 different spots. Sit outside if you can.

Upon arriving at the venue to check lost and found for our mates iPhone 14, we were reunited with the device and this sleezy old man comes from around the corner, proceeding to mansplain to us that it’s an incredible civil duty that the Cleaners don’t throw away phones or steal them?? He then goes on to make us uncomfortable by telling us it’s polite and unwritten rule to buy the cleaners drinks and give them money as a thanks!!???? This was so ridiculous and you essentially guilt tripped my friend into this. This was unnecessary and you made all of us extremely uncomfortable. Pick your act up and sort out your creepy vibes mate.

The main attraction at the Royal George Hotel is that it is open every night with live music, making it consisting one of the best choices for meeting friends or family for a get-together or a meal. I thoroughly recommend the chicken parmigiana. As of late 2023, $12 is probably the most reasonable value available anywhere. Of course one must purchase a drink to satisfy the licence requirements. Other venues in the area open on limited schedules but you can rely on this centrally located water-hole to satisfy your social habits, with live music as an added bonus. It's right in the heart of the bar and club district of Fortitude Valley. Surrounding it are all manner of nightclubs, pubs, dance clubs, fast food joints and a historic music hall. Royal George is even open for lunches.

The cocktails were so good and the food was delicious. Service was excellent and prices were reasonable. Will be coming back next weekend :)

Stuck in Brisbane for a couple weeks, escorting a friend to RBWH for treatment. Stopped in for lunch at RG and had THE BEST meal I've had since I got here. Delicious, real food at affordable prices and great service. Well done, RG!

Stopped in for lunch with the family today after a round at holy moly, Best pub lunch I’ve had in a long time. The staff treated us like family, the food was excellent and great value and the older gentleman “ possibly the owner or manager “ shouted the kids to a bowl of ice cream.
I genuinely recommend a visit the the RGH

My underage brother and I were looking forward to enjoying the game and some refreshments, but our visit turned into a nightmare.
Firstly, after purchasing drinks and food, we were abruptly interrupted by the manager who decided it was appropriate to confiscate our water glasses. Instead of offering polite guidance, he approached us with hostility, using profanity and speaking in a hushed tone to avoid public scrutiny.
His so-called lesson on "pub etiquette" was not only unnecessary but delivered in a manner that made us feel belittled and unwelcome. Despite having already spent money at the establishment, we were essentially threatened into purchasing more drinks under the guise of maintaining a certain standard.
What truly appalled me was the manager's blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. When I pointed out the inappropriate behavior, he callously dismissed our concerns, stating he didn't care about our patronage or our money. If that's the case, why bother harassing paying customers in the first place?
The most alarming aspect of this ordeal was witnessing the manager's intimidating behavior towards my younger brother, who felt so uncomfortable and threatened that he requested we leave immediately. It's disgraceful that a supposedly reputable establishment would condone such behavior towards its patrons, especially those who are underage.
To make matters worse, it seems this wasn't an isolated incident, as I observed the manager targeting another group of young men shortly after our encounter. This pattern of hostility towards customers, particularly younger ones, is unacceptable and reflects poorly on the Royal George Hotel.
In conclusion, my experience at the Royal George Hotel during the Super Bowl was nothing short of appalling. From the hostile treatment by the manager to the overall atmosphere of discomfort and intimidation, I would strongly advise against anyone visiting this establishment. It's a shame that what should have been an enjoyable morning turned into a regrettable and distressing experience.

My go to place on a night out in Brisbane! It’s a great venue that brings together people of all ages! I love moving around all the areas! Chatting to different people! I wish you could hear yourself singing in the karaoke room as it getaway to load and ruins the experience a little! But other than that it’s a fantastic easygoing venue!

Me and my partner got refused entry cause I had the hicups? Imagine going for a drink and not being let in for a dumb reason like that. Security guides are so ignorant and think they’re more important than they are. Lol

Mate and i ordered 2 steaks. I ordered before him. He got his meal. 20 mins later i got mine, he was done. I asked for a free beer because they obviously forgot. Manager tried to argue arduously that mine took 20 mins longer because i ordered well done. Wasnt even willing to meet me halfway, he was dying on that hill. So they can get stuffed.

Lovely pub on Brunswick St Mall which serves EXCELLENT big breakfasts until 3pm! All pubs should do same. Made my first visit back to Brisvegas in 3 years sooooooo much better. Staff are total sweethearts who actually talk to you. 6 stars! 👍🏼👏🏼✅🤩🎉🥂🎉

Leilani was extremely efficient, friendly and lovely. She was genuinely excited for us having a small win in the gaming lounge. She even told my partner and I that happy hour was almost finishing which was great as it saved us a couple dollars. Would definitely say she is an asset to the team.

Just came back from a night out on the town and wanted to give a shout out to all the staff working last night. Throughly enjoyed my time there. Bouncers were polite and courteous, bar staff were just as awesome and the overall atmosphere was 10/10. Thanks awesome people for making it a safe and enjoyable night. 😊

I went to the royal george hotel for my 18th birthday and wasn't 100% on what to drink, thankfully the lovely manager Scott was on and came to my rescue. Not only did he give me my new favourite drink but he gave me an experience I won't ever forget! Definitely the most amazing staff member available!

I have been to RGs a couple of times over the years and it always been pretty good, but I recently discovered it’s real hidden treasure in form of it’s resident cocktail extraordinaire. I usually don’t like to be annoying, so I rarely order cocktails, but the manager Scotty convinced me to try one of his and Oh. My. Gawd!!! This guy is INCREDIBLE!!! I can’t recommend this place any higher purely on Scotty’s cocktails! He was full of experience and good banter as he was working his magic and recommend anyone in the area to go in and ask him specifically for one of his specialties. I certainly won’t ever regret it! Thank you Scotty! You really made my day x

I came here on a busy Saturday afternoon for a few cocktails and was amazed to see Scotty not only rescuing a new born baby from the jaws of a local, but simultaneously preparing me one of his delicious cocktails.
Absolutely incredible service from Scotty the manager here, I’d recommend anyone to ask by name and I’m sure he’d be more than happy to whip you up a tantalising concocting just for you!

Held our annual Christmas Function here, staff were very helpful and friendly, meals all came out in good time, everyone was very happy and had a great luncheon, catching up with old friends and having fun.
The guests all agreed this was better than previous years at another venue.
Hope to visit again soon.

Had brunch 😋 was awesome, huge meals. Schnitzel vhips salad, burger curly fries and eggs Benny and all very happy. Great to crowd watch as they go by.

Great place! Good atmosphere, decent food. The manager (owner?) Saw our two kids and brought them over some free ice cream which was super kind! Prices were pretty great too. Nachos was huge.

Food so good we ate there 3 times in a 5 night holiday. Had the Supreme pizza twice, bloody delicious. Came back to do the Eggs Bene which was done just right - again delicious. Plastic glassware isn't great but good staff, atmosphere & pricing all made up for it. Would go back any time.

Fantastic location and a broad drink selection with great staff and service and often free live talented entertainment out front. Offering fabulous food at affordable prices available most hours outside of traditional meal times allowing for you to relax prior to a show at the music hall.

Considering the circumstances, the 5 stars is given purely on the fact there was no restrooms in action this day fa miles, anyway, an album dedicated purely to Brisbane's most Iconic Dunnydoors. Watch this space.

Bizarre experience. Old guy, supposedly the owner claimed to be hospitable but was anything but that. No wonder the place was empty, considering every other pub was full. Now seen others leave similar reviews about him. Everyone else was lovely.

Best place in the valley to hang out,jug beers are cheap,food above expectation,even when you buy vodka redbull they actually give you the whole can of left over redbull compared to other places,security n staff are friendly,as for Pokies machine aren't that tight so ull def win some after few presses.
Best location in the valley where you can sit outside have a beer and smoke and just chill to good music.
