Went for lunch today. Table was sticky. venue was too cold. Bartender had no idea what he was doing. could not find an ice bucket.
The salad was minute with my fish.
Shared dish with spare ribs and chicken was lacking in flavour.
The young lad who served us was sensational

Went for lunch today and order over $90 of food everything was terrible the entree mains nothing was fresh mash potato was awful too. Never again. Service no better. My first & last time. Just got very bad gastro 3hrs later. I was right the food was off.

We had a great meal at the restaurant. However we had to leave as some Chinese people were getting angry and fighting with each other.My friend was very anxious.

We ate here for lunch. Meals were a good size and tasted great. Service was efficient and the staff friendly. Not sure about parking - we managed to find a park behind the hotel which was lucky (parking there is limited), but otherwise I'm not sure where the best place to park would be.

We arrived for our 6.30 booking for 3 adults & 1 child at 6.25 & staff unable to find booking went to find manager who came & left no help what’s so ever another couple arrived behind us to ask if a table for 2 was available & despite no booking down to a table for 4 at the window !!!! After a few more minutes of discussion we were offered a table in the sports bar that I declined as in appropriate for a 8 year old eventually a table being cleaned was available After waiting 10 minutes my husband went & asked for menus . The adult meals arrived & after waiting another 5-10 minutes my husband asked where our grandsons meal was took another 10 minutes for that to arrive. Haven’t been to the Total for several years & ill. Ever go again or recommend it to anyone. Gave had far better service at a food court !!!

This place is a recommended venue with good vibes and great customer service and and the food let me tell you I don't know who the chef is but the food is well presented and taste amazing and cooked to the customers request Thankyou .

The food was so tasty and delicious the chef.
Ben was our waiter and his service was was great and very friendly love this place.

The food was fresh perfectly cooked steaks. We had difficulty’s using the “me&u” qr-code. We had to pay and reorder at the counter. The staff were very helpful especially BEN.

Poor experience having dinner here tonight.
Ordered two simple dishes, a parma and fish tacos and they took about 50 minutes to get to the table! Also ordered a Coca Cola and it came completely flat. After a long wait to eat some very average food, I cut into my parma only to find a strand of dark coloured hair on my plate. I was so disappointed! Would not recommend visiting and will not return. Poor food, poor service and for the prices, it really is not worth it.

Outstanding meal out!
Staff were friendly, professional and communication was excellent, upon arrival we were greeted and informed there was a 45 minute wait on meals, ours arrived in 30! Food was incredibly delicious, the bbq ribs fell of the bone. Would definitely come again. Thanks to the team at the Royal.
(Visited for a meal, did not use the accomodation)

on the 9th of june at 10:10 the new bar staff bloke refused to serve me an espresso martini despite me being sober and it being my birthday. What a sad circumstance. I went back to the bar to say farwell and funnily enough there were 3 near-empty espresso martinis waiting collection at the same counter..been loyal to this place for so long never again

I visited the Royal Hotel today with friends. The food was ok. Nothing special but ok. The atmosphere was cold Not very welcoming. The decor was old and not very comfortable. The floor in the bistro area is concrete and very cold. I feel that it need an update. Such a wonderful location.Very disappointing.

I reminded the staff to smile when they come to work. Haha and she scared to kick me out. She told with manager to kick me out . Haha its okay i won 400$ im happy to be out as i dont have to come back and pay them back. Guys if u requires the good service hahhaa u guy have to consider . Manager said he didnt hear what is the conversation but he assumps that im rude . But i dont know how is rude in his definition . I thought there is stupid staff but stupid idiot manager too. Maybe im asian so they dont like me. U guy will think im sad when i left hahaa. Stupid 400$ winning how come im sad ? Hahahaa . And also not only your place is pokies in Australia :))))

Had lunch today with 2 friends. Ordered our lunches and asked the girl if l could order the drinks with her and she said no at the bar. Went to the bar and nobody there. Waited 15 minutes before l finally got our drinks. Pat the barman was very nice and apologetic, he said l could have ordered drinks with my food. Staff should know this. Appears short staffed here. Waited 35 minutes before we got our lunch and not overly busy. I hadn't been here for lunch for a long time and will not be going back soon even though the food was very nice.

Great place to watch the football. The service we receive in the front bar is always spot on. Shout out to Jett, Cody and Gabby. Caesar Salad is delicious. We did Christmas Day there in 2023 and it’s was so good we will be back in 2024. And I must also mention Pat, for his ability to entertain Grant and his quirks. 😉

Great experience from start to finish, hotel manager is incredibly kind and patient, dumbfounded at the cleanliness and luxury adjacent quality of the room, kitchen, bathroom and shower.
Staff was all amazing, made us feel like family by being incredibly accommodating.
One of the bar ladies in particular Jidapa, left a lasting impression with her stellar service and company.
Will definitely recommend this hotel and will return in the future.
P.S Chicken Parmi was delicious!

From the initial phone call with Sara from booking through to dinner correspondence as we are from the bush we couldn’t expect more and appreciate the great service and we will definitely come back, will recommend to others.Sara is valued employee for your company.

Enjoyed a great lunch with old school friend today. We were all very pleased with a young barman named Henry who was absolutely fantastic in his assistance to us. He was very personable, helpful and used his initiative. Great customer service. His manager Pat was extremely helpful as well.

Disappointed in our latest trip to The Royal Hotel. There weren't really any positives about the service/organisation.
- The queue to order was practically on top of the tables of people eating. People at our table couldn't get out their chair without difficulty. They need to have the manual order queue move off to the side where it's not interrupting others.
- The QR system was pretty average. Some drink options were missing so we had to go into the sports bar to order our drinks. We couldn't get a kids dessert (outside of a kids meal) via the app so had to order them separate to the rest of the food.
- Meals took a LONG time to arrive. We had others eating meals before the garlic bread arrived. The 2nd lot of meals took around 45-50 minutes which is far too long in my opinion.
- The tables were very sticky which is not a nice experience.
On a positive note they put the Tim Tszyu fight on all the TV's so that everyone could enjoy it which was great to see.
The food was about a 7/10, so not too bad, though anything would taste nice after waiting that long :(
Overall quite an average experience from previous years that we've been there. I won't be going back in a hurry but I do hope they're open to feedback.

Attended monarchs b’day at Royal Hotel and was astounded at how perfect their Beef Wellington special was. Made me feel lucky to be alive.
I’ve watched a lot of Hell’s Kitchen, and (based solely on the hours I’ve spent glued to Ramsey and his chefs on the telly) I know how difficult the elusive ‘perfect’ Wellington can be to master.

Always drive about 30 minutes to come here. Head chef Danny knows what he's doing and is an amazing chef. Want a good meal come down to see Danny and the team. We always recommend here.

Always a great place to catch up with friends. Food menus are good with a constantly update of menus. TV is always on in the sports bar with beer specials during footy.

Absolutely beautiful service! Our waiter Ben was an absolute sweetheart and got our food out very fast! The food was amazing! 10/10 would come again. :)
