Basic rooms in a casual pub offering free parking, plus a beer garden and a kids' play area. Set in the Hunter Valley wine area, this relaxed pub is a 9-minute walk from Singleton Golf Club and 9 km from the Australian Army Infantry Museum. The unfussy rooms come with TVs, minifridges and shared bathrooms. Upgraded rooms add en suite facilities. There's free off-street parking, plus a relaxed restaurant and a pub with a pool table. You don’t expect any meals to be wrong but when you get 2/2 meals wrong, that’s not a great start. We let them know that we were missing steak from one meal and eggs from the other, to then be told we are correcting this and won’t be too long. 15 minutes later, already received food is now cold and they request further payment for the steak and eggs that has already been correctly paid for, at this stage we said forget about it. They returned apologising for the misunderstanding and offered a drink voucher (a drink voucher doesn’t make up for the missing the steak). |This is a place we regularly attended but after tonight, we will not be returning.

We used the bistro for dinner for 4 adults and one child, ordering was quick, easy and friendly from a varied menu; service was prompt; food quality, taste and portions were generous; a good value for money proposition all round; and the dining area is modern as a result of a recent renovation. All in all, a positive and rewarding experience. We'll be back!

We stayed here overnight. the beds where comfortable and there is undercover parking available. The motel is located next to the Royal Hotel, which is very handy. The check in staff where pleasant and easy to deal with.

Went there sat and Sunday 4 lunch, both times great meals and plenty of tables to sit down and eat at front and back. From gluten free Angus Burger to salt and pepper squid

Week 1 put of 2. Food is fantastic. The rooms are good, bed is super comfy, only complaint would be the thin walls, but it is what it is. The staff are delightful and wonderful. Chances are I am staying here longer than the 2 weeks planned and I am very happy with that.

The Royal, great local spot, location accesible and nice outdoor area, food i find always good and generous serving, coffee spot on and i think with regards to alcohol etc, plenty of choice, it has outback parking as its on the New England Highway, travellers if you need a stop try this Pub i dont think you will be disappointed.

The room opened to a beer garden and back kitchen area. The beer garden was loud and filled with inappropriate people. At 2am we had men fighting and smashing on our door and windows. The room did not feel safe or secure - on a snib lock - and no screen on the bathroom window. The back kitchen area was filled with boxes that smelt like rotten food - flies and bugs everywhere at the door. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and due to being unable to open the window it was disgusting in the bathroom. The gates entering the beer garden were not locked or secured at closing so men were hanging around in the beer garden until all hours. There were no visible security cameras. When I went to the bar to ask for help or another room - there was nothing available. The staff were understanding and kind but just recommended to call the police if it happened again. I think the problem is that the room was not advertised as so exposed and unsafe - if we knew this - we wouldn’t have booked it.

Stayed here for 5 nights and I gotta say thankyou so much for your hospitality the staff where so nice, beds where comfy decent TV the noise from the main road woke me up a few times but it was nothing thankyou again I will be stayed here in the future if I come back to singleton! 😁

Probably the best pub in singleton, definitely my favourite. The food is amazing and the staff are lovely, I haven’t tried the hotel part yet but it is probably great as well. The prices are also pretty cheap and I would definitely recommend this place

Our room at rear building was reasonably clean and beds were comfortable. WHAT EVER YOU DO, DO NOT STAY IN ROOMS 11-15. THESE ARE LOCATED IN THE BEER GARDEN WHICH IS VERY NOISY AND HAS POOL TABLE.

Nice pub,the food was fantastic, beautiful rump steak cooked perfectly medium
and the best chips fresh and crispy
Very nice bar staff super friendly and good service ,I will definitely be back again

Man did they look after us . Had the squid and scooey for 15 bucks . We only eat their now . Great place usually win my meal back on the old pokes too so win win . If you're loser don't go to the pokes 😂

If I could give a higher rating I would. After a long day of travelling we were super Hungary and thirsty for a drink. This is honestly of the best places myself and my family have been to for a meal. We had two children with us who were roaring to go and full of energy. The lady that served us was absolutely beautiful and was so great with our crazy children. The meals were superb aswell as service. If we come through Singleton again, we will definitely be stopping here. Thank you!!

Had the S&P squid for lunch, the squid was soft and tender and the chippies were so crunchy and flavoursome.

Good food, not amazing. Decent pub grub and great prices. Excellent, friendly bar staff but the lady taking our orders wasn't the friendliest. Will be back

Fish was not fresh and for the price such a small portion, the snitzel burger was very dry and lacked taste service was good however

First time I've ever been to singleton &I was only passing through, stayed at the royal for cheap accommodation for the night, the room was clean , everything that was supposed to work did work and for a budget room the bed was actually really good, had a good feed at a reasonable price, also had a few beers and had a good chat with the people behind the bar, they were very friendly and great to talk too, the young lady at the bottle shop was also really nice , if you're traveling through singleton and need somewhere to stay for the night I would highly recommend staying at the royal, if I ever come through singleton again I'll definitely be calling in .

Family friendly, clean and tidy cabin. Much more than I expected for the price paid. Surely suggest someone travelling with family. A microwave would have been a lot better.

Even though all of us had a great time yesterday at my Aunty’s birthday party, sadly I was disappointed with our food.
From my knowledge and experience in the hospitality industry, I know for a fact, what they did was WRONG!!!!
We had a table of 20 people and you would think all our meals would come out all together “WRONG”!!!!!
It’s been 5 or 10 minutes after everyone else has their food, and my parents and I haven’t got ours.
So I go up and see the waitress at the bistro counter and ask “where is our food”, and they tell me it’s coming.
But the thing is; they were already finishing on other orders after ours . Plus didn’t come to the table to make sure everyone had their food.
But when they gave me my food; i was disappointed because they didn’t give me enough chips, plus my schnitzel was small. “Umm like hello where is the rest of my schnitzel”. Plus they weren’t even that busy!!
A complete waste of $27, what I got was only worth $15 at most. So from that I’m not coming back to this restaurant for a long time or ever again !!!!!!!

Basic rooms, but clean, with tea and coffee facilities and a mini fridge.
Would have rated higher if we weren't woken up by a leaf blower at 6.00am, two mornings in a row.

All the staff are lovely although the meals took well longer than expected to be prepared and served. The lovely manager on duty communicated this to the kitchen for us, thankyou for hosting my sisters birthday and taking care of our table! Great team.
