You promote a $20 Parma on a Tuesday yet it's half the size of a normal Parma. Cut in half (literally). If having a promo deal, it should offer a full meal not a meal that costs almost as much but saves you 50% of the cost. What a rip off! You promote it as 200gm. Chicken is $10/kg, it's not an eye fillet steak which costs $50/kg, just give customers a normal chicken breast vs one cut in half. Promoting 200gm of chicken that only costs retail $2 is hardly anything worthy of promotion. It just screams 'how can we screw over our customers best' let's just reduce the price of a $29 Parma to $20 and give them half the chicken. Should be $15 at best. AVOID

WOW! Is my word for Royal Nundah. We held a function there and were blown away with Sarah, Tai and staff. The room was set up to what we needed, the food was amazing, the bar staff were accommodating to our requests, and the overall cost was very reasonable. The experience exceeded our imagination. The birthday boy was extremely overwhelmed with what was 'secretly' achieved. He is still talking about it! You want somewhere to hold a function? Talk to Royal Nundah and Sarah. You won't be disappointed. Thanks to the Chef/s and teams. You are awesome!

We went on Monday night gone as the hotel had a meal deal rump steak including glass of wine beer or softdrink so we thought we would give it a try. My med to well steak was more well done and my partners steak was more like medium to well than rare as ordered. The meal come with a salad which was lovely and fresh except the cucumber was only the skin the internal flesh and seeds were missing - odd . The sauce was only pepper sauce no choice for anything else. My partner ordered a prawn topper which came out with 4 small prawns tasted like they had been frozen for $12 very disappointing. However, the staff were very accommodating and efficient. My partner said he probably wouldn't come back again which is disappointing as lovely decor and vibe. Annie

We recently held my mother’s 70th birthday party at the Royal. We had a private space and the service was top notch from the very beginning. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. We felt very welcomed and the night was an absolute success. Definitely recommend this venue!

We got the chicken parma and sirloin steak. Both chips and salad and was top notch. About time a salad doesn't come with raw onion. We loved how it came pickled. The chips both had good crunch and texture. I had the parma and I like to think I'm a parma connoisseur, I will definitely be back for it. I mean the cheese, the chicken wasn't dry and all round good meal 🤤 The size of it was fantastic too! My partners steak was cooked to exactly how a med rare should be cooked. Had great char flavour and came with bone marrow butter 🤤 we also got the garlic bread and salt and pepper squid to start. Yum yum yum. We will definitely be back. Not sure before the renovations what the establishment looked like, but I definitely think it's a great feel.

Visited to see Wendy Matthews and had dinner beforehand. The place has a great vibe. Friendly, helpful staff - great steak! Unfortunately there weren’t enough seats for the show so we had to stand for the entire performance, which was a little uncomfortable for us older folk, but otherwise a great venue.

Very nice ambiance and character in this bar. I had the Lasagne Bolognese which tasted good although presentation-wise didn't look very appealing. Overall, an average outing here. Might try again when they're not so busy.

This hits my best pub meal of the year so far . Carlton our waiter was awesome . Food was delicious served quickly and reasonable . I had Moreton bay bug roll with crisps ….. so good I ordered a second wheelchair access at front of pub a ramp but only saw one disabled park and it was too hard to get a wheelchair out . I think as a popular pub parking could be the only issue . Really felt spoiled by staff for my birthday x

This establishment was in the vicinity of my apartment, where I lived for 6.5 years. I do appreciate the Mediterranean-inspired menu and the retro decor. However, the volume of noise in this establishment can render it difficult to listen to conversations. I hosted my 2016 birthday at this venue. My father flew to Brisbane from Vancouver specifically for this event. He chose to stay for a month in a hotel near Roma Street station. I invited a dozen of my dear friends. Although, some of these people, I've become estranged from as they've moved to Europe and Geelong. My father organized all the entrees and maij courses for the guests. He graciously accommodated one woman's request for a bottle of champagne, though we don't even consume alcohol. Admittedly, she is a very vivacious Australian woman, who is a member of the corporate Boxing studio in the Valley. The ambience of The Royal was delightful. My father became very engrossed in learning about AFL and refrigerator mechanics from a physiotherapy assistant from The Royal Brisbane Hospital. She was one of my first friends when I moved to Brisbane in 2009. I actually celebrated Christmas with her entire family in 2014 in Eight Mile Plains. The food was respectable. It's a Western interpretation of Italian cuisine. So, the pizzas have some rather peculiar toppings. They go beyond the standard tomato sauce, basil and buffalo cheese associated with authentic Napoli pizzas. However, they were cooked well. The crusts were not burnt. We carried on to The Lounge section of this establishment. One of my friends got into a disagreement with the bar staff, who informed him that pistachios on the counter WERE NOT self-serve. He was abruptly removed by the SECURITY staff. I don't believe he's returned to The Royal since this conflict. Fortunately, my father was engaged in an amicable conversation with my friend who has heavy metal band in Wynnum. Essentially, I have always enjoyed the vibrant ambience and Mediterranean-inspired cuisine of The Royal. It's a shame I moved away from this neighbourhood. However, I return once in a while for Jeff Martin's(The Tea Party) acoustic concerts.

The warm, friendly vibe is supported by the charm of the dècor in the spacious Royal Quarters. Up to 120 people seated, or ~200 standing can be accommodated. The refurbishment has kept the old-world style, while delivering a great live venue. The Event Co-ordinators (I spoke with Sarsh - wonderful) listen to your ideas, and suggest great solutions including smart use of the new technology - stage audio & lighting, and a data projector and retractable screen . This is a superb choice for functions and live performance. Highly recommended!

The best little suburb surprise for Sunday lunch.. Always skeptical when pub bistros are themed. Was a brilliant and pleasant surprise. Stunning potato rosti entree then Vegan pizza for my wife, me, I went all in on pizza. Staff were exceptional. Only small downside was limited Europeans wines on the wine list. But still found a very good pinot.

Staff- non existent, not helpful… Food- inedible- overpriced.. ordered the gnocchi and paid $12 for prawns- gnocchi- flavourless, prawns were like rubber bullets- carbonara- sauce watery, bacon not cooked- garlic bread was like a plain baguette with melted butter Overpriced and at the price you’d think it would be table service…. 0/5 and likely will not return

Since they renovated I've been to the Royal a few times. It is a friendly place with a good range of drinks and the restaurant is now very good. The steak and pasta carbonara were very nice. The outdoor seating is lovely on a warm summer night.

Pretty good pub fair. Standard expensive pub pricing, not unusual in our current cost of living time but my chicken parmi was MASSIVE and tasty. Other meal of gnocchi was nice but not overly big. Everyone was really friendly and accommodating, no table service but real menus and can order at the bar instead of the QR code. Would expect table service considering the prices of the food. Overall a nice place to eat.

Nice enough pub, but they advertise a $20 parmi meal on Tuesdays with a photo of a full size parmi. Yet when you order it you find out the $20 parmi is actually a half serving (despite there being no indication that it’s a half size on the promotion and using a photo of the full sized parmi on the website). Very deceptive promotion.

My friend Jenny & I loved the place. It had great ambience & acoustics. A beautiful antique decore & setting. We saw Tex Perkins & his good friend Matt Walker. It was a sit down show of quite a mature fan base. My friends dancing 💃 was not appropriated. A great place.

I think we came on the first day they were open after renovations. The staff were a bit all over the place, but we had very friendly service. We only had a few snacks, but the food was tasty and interesting. I enjoyed it, and would recommend

I ordered a bug roll, maybe 5% bug and on a roll not even 5 inches 20 bucks, an iron steak 50 bucks, 10 dollars a slice. Yes a slice, was already cut and served with a steak knife. I feel robbed. Will never buy food here again.

I had the chicken schnitzel and it was worse than a 2 dollar frozen chicken schnitzel. Honestly the ones I get from our work's lunch food truck are a lot nicer. I also ended up with a sick stomach last night which isn't any better this morning. We were sat outside where they have nothing in place to deter mosquitoes, and therefore were attacked the entire time we were there.

I found the staff at this venue to be very welcoming and friendly as it was my first time visiting the place. The pizzas at this pub are good, very tasty and affordable. The karaoke was good and the host Jo was lovely and very welcoming. And I a really nice and enjoyable experience at the venue. Will come back again.

Decided to try somewhere different as a last nite family send off for the kids nan flying out next day. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. Unfortunately that was probably the best part of the night. The food wasn't the standard we were expecting from a pub meal and we've had some decent pub meals in Brizy. Chicken palmys were pretty dry, fish & chips well, you could taste the frozen element still on the fish and chips were..boring, no salt no flavour with tiny but of salad. The other meals weren't anything much better to write home about. Staff didn't ask about our meals so we may have got you on a really bad day. Please try better with other patrons.

Bought 2 x Low Carb Beers from bar at $7 each during Happy Hour until 17:30. Ordered 1 x Low Carb Beer from Table / Code. Charged me $10:51. Staff member talked to Mgr, nothing they could do! That's not good customer service.

Been going here for 50 years and always get a good pub meal and excellent, friendly service. Do miss the live music though. Be good to see it come back. This was one of Brisbane's legendary music venues in the 70s and 80s
