why do you guys not do steak cut chips, it’s criminal to put a schnitzel on top of shoestring fries

We were visiting the area and randomly picked Royal Oak for a steak.
It was a game night but we found a table as the game was starting and the pub was emptying.
We loved our steaks and they were well priced.
Drinks seemed a little expensive but probably no more than most pubs .

Went here for lunch and it was a nice and clean old style pub. The food was great and the specials board had a nice and big variety.

This was a brilliant surprise to find this pub so close to home. Congratulations to the owners. I have had the best night out since moving to Parramatta. Excellent Renovation, staff and chef. Impromptu sing a long was the icing on the cake. I will definitely be back and I’m bringing friends.

This is one of the rare Old Pubs with great character. Sadly it is closing down in November to make way for the Parramatta Tramway
Generous Pup food and Resches Beer on tap and to being my favourite watering hole.

This is my first visit at the Royal Oak Hotel. I was keen to visit being a local in North Parramatta. Love the ambience of the pub (for this I'd give a 5 out of 5). The staff were reserved but pleasant. I thought I'd order an early dinner. The staff member who served me suggested the curry as it was on special. I thought I'd take her up on her suggestion. I sat for a while enjoying a glass of wine and noticed what looked like my dinner sitting in the kitchen window ready to be delivered to my table. It sat there for over 10 minutes. The place was not busy (as you can see in my photo). By the time my dinner was brought to my table the papadams and rice was cold. The rice was hard - obviously reheated in the microwave. It is a shame that such a beautiful pub served substandard food.

This is a cosy pub with a relaxed atmosphere. The trivia night on Saturday starts at 7pm. It's a bit of fun, but be prepared to battle with a few well seasoned regulars. The bistro menu is fairly standard pub fare. The burgers look good. My boyfriend enjoyed his. I had the Thai beef salad. The beef was very tender but the salad needed more dressing. No zest and no spice. Probably best to order steaks and schnitzel at this pub.

Really great feel in the pub. Decor is nice, food menu very extensive and the prices are pretty good. Our steaks were overcooked but still tasted nice.

Really good chill vibes in this pub. Steak was nice and they have non-alcoholic beer option which is nice.

Nice new pub, saw many familiar faces from other pubs in Parramatta there, looks like the new Royal Oak has caught the imagination of local drinks. Happy hour prices were good & the food looked delicious.

Love this place. The renovations make it so bright and pleasant. Staff are always friendly. We went for rump lunch special and steaks were cooked to perfection. We will be back for sure thanks

I can't have alcohol yet but from my experience there it has great food and an amazing atmosphere if that makes sense

Great pub. Only about 2 years old, and still very very clean and feels very new. Nice big bar that has seating at it, something that is missing in a lot of pubs these days. Great selection of beers, wines, cocktails, and spirits to cater to most tastes. Staff are excellent, and the food is great as well as being responably priced. There isn't really a 'sports bar' but it does have a small section that caters to the punters next to the main seating area in front of the bar. My only complaint, and I mean only complaint would be that it's small, if they used the pokies room as a proper sports bar it would feel bigger but, I get that pubs need that revenue, so it's not really a complaint.

Good food, which is reasonably priced (see photos). Bar staff are very friendly and they even remember your orders for subsequent rounds!

Fun place to go just before a Wanderers game! Great selection of food and a fun vibe ...and a 5 minute walk to Commbank stadium. Easy parking

Food was fantastic. Went for the chefs special (chorizo sausage roll with mango chutney) and didn't regret it for a second. Good value too. Beer is great and service is nice. Reccomend!

Food is great but they take so long to bring it out - I can just overcome this, there is no way in the world you can find a $13 steak anywhere!

First time visiting and I was absolutely blown away by the food. We ordered lamb special and the prawn pasta. I am not exaggerating to say that this is high end restaurant quality food. The lamb was generous incredibly tasty and well presented. The prawn pasta was Devine with just the right amount of chilli. We will be back again and again. I want to try the entire menu!!!

First time after closure of the old one had an excellent experience. Warm welcome from the nice man in blue shirt, should have asked his name, and the lovely lady that offered a pint for the price of a schooner

Extremely rude and unprofessional staff. Walked in at 6:45pm on a Tuesday, it was fairly busy, and I saw a table that had a reserved sign on it for 5:30pm. I politely waited in line at the bar to ask one of the staff if I could have the table as it was now well over an hour after the reservation time. When I asked the bartender checked with the manager who just said ‘no’. No explanation was given no offer to help find a different spot. The staff just don’t care. It may be newly renovated but their isn’t an ounce of hospitality in the place. With all of Church street nearby I strongly suggest you go elsewhere.

Dope local spot. Great prices, food was awesome and the staff are really friendly. Our new weekly pub feed for sure. So many specials and a trivia night. Definitely check this upscale pub out!!! Couldn’t recommend more. Pie & Pint day (Monday) is unbeatable value, by the looks of it so are the other days. Also spotted some great lunch specials available Mon-Fri.

Best pub chef in Parramatta - $10-$12 meals - outstanding - a great pub - what a turnaround from a few years ago when it was a dump.
Six years later the food is even better. Steaks still from $13. Get there soon because the state Government has ordered its demolition for a light rail to nowhere.
Still fabulous meals - closing late 2018.

Always a fantastic place for a feed and a drink due to the cheap affordable pricing. Staff always friendly and happy to have a chat, never had any issues. Trivia night is always a blast with fantastic prizes to go around, always highly recommend this place to friends/family.

A great place to eat, relax and play trivia! The staff are great, especially the Islander. My only improvement would be to have updated specials. I pay a different price for my drink that is advertised around the pub. Otherwise, amazing.
