Went with a large group of girls and the food was a bit slow in coming, but I think there was an issue with the table number, so probably not all their fault. When it came the food was good. No complaints from anyone. We sat outside which was lovely. So a good time was had by all.

We have come here a number of times. The food was delicious. Banger and Mash and Chilli Seafood Linguine are our favourite. Staff were friendly and attentive. The only downside is a side door has problem closing properly, letting flies in, one of which went for a swim in my drink.

We ate dinner there 5 of us, it was not at all very nice, nun of us could finish our meals as they were either to salty or the meat was to tuff very disappointed as we were told they did great meals. And we found having bar staff that couldn't pour Alcohol was pointless. Over all very disappointed.

Took my daughter and granddaughter here the first time for lunch. The food was amazing, the staff were so friendly. Now I've moved close by I'll definately be back. They have musical bingo on a Thursday night free, I'll be trying that out for sure.

Tonight, Wow. I have had the most wonderful dinner with my hubby. The lamb shank, delectable, and the valentines day desert, magnificent. Somehow, these truly amicable services pale in comparison to the waiting served by the talented, beautiful Brittany. 10/10

The Runaway Bay Tavern bistro is clean and moden,
The menu prices are reasonable,
The manager was serving my table, and she was very polite, She took my order quickly, and the drinks came out fast.
We had 2 drinks, 1 cheesy garlic bread, and the 2 chicken parmi for $70,
The Parmi was well cooked very tasty, the hot chips were nice and the salad on the side was nicely dressed.
Overall, I would recommend eating here. My whole experience from the time the order was taken until the time I paid was lovely,
Thank you for making my birthday lunch nice.

Stopped in for a beer after a day of shopping. Was greeted by a young man, gaming/bar attendant, working alone in a extremely busy gaming room. He was polite, friendly and attentive. Not to mention his superb customer service skills. As well as serving drinks, servicing machines, attending to patrons he was always with a positive attitude & working with a calm demeanour under pressure the whole time. He was so attentive to the older patronage, which was adorable & noticed. This young man shoud be proud of himself as well as the company, what an asset to your business! Thank you for your welcoming hospitality & service today 😊

Service was good and venue was suitable for our needs ( dog friendly). Seniors meals were very small and not worth the $16 each.
Not likely to return.

Not a bad pub, been before and had a good feed. The Staff are attentive and quick to serve at table. This is a good thing. Snitzel was good, so was the calamari but the seniors battered fish was pathetic. Tiny filet covered in atrocious heavy inedible batter that was over cooked.... do better people.

My daughter and I were looking for somewhere to watch the Lions thrash North (and have a feed). The service was excellent from a great drink recommendation to swapping my daughter’s meal when she realised she ordered the wrong thing. The food came quickly and was what you’d expect for pub fare. I loved that every live sport you could want to see was on one of the many TVs. The only downfall was that the eating area was getting wafts of smoke from the smoking area. Thanks again for the great service.

Made an error in rating. We ordered fish & chips from $12.50 pub lunch. Chips were so heavily salted & fish was dry & size of a small palm on your hand. Asked for salad instead of chips but at a cost of an extra $4. Certainly not worth $12.50 or the add on of $4. Lost our business what a shame. Living costs are ridiculous and this sure doesn't help.

I was part of a large group that ate here and was able to see and taste a large range of the meals and drinks served and it was all just ok. Not great, not bad, just ok and a typical solid local tavern meal. I think if you wanted a higher quality experience you would go elsewhere but if you want to stay and eat local then this place is fine. Value for money is ok as well.

I stopped by this place on a Sunday while visiting the Gold Coast to watch the UFC. The service was excellent. Although I didn't catch their names, I want to thank the staff who were working that day. I really appreciate you guys.

I really enjoyed the Christmas Buffet at Runaway Bay Tavern. The salmon was delicious, cooked just right, and the prawns were fresh and tasty. What really stood out was how the staff and management went above and beyond to cater to our needs. They were not only friendly and attentive but also incredibly accommodating. When they learned of our dietary restrictions, they offered alternatives and ensured our meals were safe and enjoyable. It was a lovely meal and a nice atmosphere for the holidays, made all the better by the great service!

I don’t write too many reviews, but this place def deserves one. We went here one night during our recent family holiday, and honestly the kids said it was the best meal they have ever had…and they are very fussy!!! They loved the kids pizza. I wish I took some photos… but they ate it before I could. It is such a relaxed family friendly atmosphere, the meals and drinks were delicious and the staff and management were next level. Was such a fantastic night. Highly recommend!

Hi there, as being a local for 20 years unfortunately I found the quality of food not good. As far as pricing and value for money, I can get a roast down the road for alot cheaper and alot better. Meat was dry and tough. Potatoes not crispy and undercooked. Apple sauce tasted like vinegar. Had to get my own drinks of the bar. The ribs taste better from the local Coles and my grandaughter reckons a Macca's burger was ten times better than what they could serve up but there was one shining point, the Spanish churizo was quite good and anybody can throw chicken nuggets and chips on a plate for kids but all in all, had a grade time.

Heard good things but was extremely disappointed in the food.
3 of 4 meals were barely touched.
Upside. The atmosphere was ok. Nice music.
Enjoyed the wings. Good dish to share with friends.
Issues:
The roast of the day was chicken. Chicken was so dry it was it was uneaten. Seemed like a cold chicken reheated.
Chicken hamburger and chips - chips were good. Burger was poor. The patty is low quality. Uneaten
Barramundi and veg - veg not cooked. Potatoes are uneatable, and they couldn't cut through them. Barra was fine.
General comments - placed the order on the app.
When wings came, we asked a question about it being the right sauce. We were told it was. It was obviously wrong. Took it back. The chef argued it was what we ordered. We asked to change it regardless. Upon returning to the table, we checked the app, and we had ordered the correct thing. Even if we hadn't, from a service perspective, it was no issue to change a little container with sauce in it. Why argue?
There was one lady working the floor that had a clue. Well done to her. She was diligently cleaning, serving and checking outcomes.
Highly likely, we won't return to this venue.

Great local. Staff are always friendly and is a great venue if you like a punt or to watch all sorts of sport. The food never disappoints either😊😊

Great experience with my family after a long week. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was told to try the Mexican Parmy here from a mate,It definitely did not disappoint!!! Well done chefs very tasty and delicious food. All round great experience,highly recommend!

Good beer selection, great food as well. Quick service for both. Never had to wait to get served or be seated in the Bistro. Friendly staff as well. Public bar can be very noisy, pokies lounge very dated and in need of a refresh. Great local for the locals and the Bistro is well worth a visit.

Food is good but menu is very small and doesn’t attract much, atmosphere is good with great staff and awesome service. Pokies can pay pretty well too if your into a cheeky little gamble. Can recommend

First time dining here, staff very friendly food amazing Lamb shank mouth watering just fell of the bone, Calamari so tender and soft 😋 steak sandwich delicious. Hats of to the chefs 👨🍳 👏

Been months since visiting after giving up on both poor service and poor food quality. Surprise to me they had table service now. They had a special similar to an old mix grill style with a massive mushroom. Steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium. Not a massive worry. The rest was cooked well and tasty. They have improved 10 folds since my last visit.

A typical local tavern lacking atmosphere and quality meals. If you're after a mid week dinner stop then you might enjoy a quick in and out but give it a miss if you're after something nice. Vibes kind of remind me of the old bowls clubs.

A girl named maddi was absolutely rude with every interaction we had.
She said i was too uncoordinated and uncomfortable to drink
But its just my mental condition!!
