Went here for the 1st time, I live close by and decided to come and try their award winning Parmagiana.
Really enjoyed it, it's not the best in Brisbane for me but is very close to it, 2nd or 3rd by my rating but it was still fantastic.
Obviously I am only 1 person, hundreds and thousand voted it #1 and I don't blame them.
I absolutely love the salad & vegetable bar, so much good stuff, I love the all you can eat healthy food option they have for every lunch and dinner.
I also went back the following night, the female employee taking the booking remembered me and my name so that made my happy.
I am very bad at remembering people's names.
I had the steak special, medium well with mushroom sauce, tasted pretty good.
Once again absolutely loved the all you can eat salad & vegetable bar.

They have a lovely salad bar though it can sometimes be annoying when the fruit platter is not replenished in a timely manner . Ordered the lamb shank with mash potatoes . There was too much gravy on the plate and the lamb lacked taste . However , the worst part was how tough and inedible it was . Rather like “mutton dressed up as lamb “ . So disappointed .

The service was poor. I went in at 1:25pm on a Thursday. There were a lot of empty tables and I wanted to sit near window. The waitress refused my request because she has to clean the table. There was a clean one but she would not give it to me because it is a table for 4 not one. I am not sure how many more customers will come at this time. Clearly she doesn’t want any more customer.

The portion of anything but fish is large and you get to have unlimited salad bar. So consider how much you are ordering.
Children enjoyed the game room alot. So adults can enjoy the food and conversation. The atmosphere is a little noisy though with energetic groups of cricket supporters enjoying the game on TV.
Overall I quite like the experience. Will come back again.

Sunday 14th: we went to this restaurant with some friends to celebrate a birthday. Food wasn't the best (cold fries and dry roast pork) and we received a very bad service. At the end of the service we asked for food containers to take out the food that we didn't eat. They told us that there was a sign at the counter saying that it wouldn't be possible because of the food buffet and that's fair enough. After a while we saw another table receiving some food containers to pack their food. We asked explanations and the restaurant manager came to the table and told us in a very rude way that this is not possible and he didn't know why some of the staff would have done that. (You are the restaurant manager and you don't know what's going on in your restaurant ???). If there is a rule that should be applied to EVERYONE (australian people included), not just for some people. I will never come back!

staff were great and accommodating. The food was delicious. The salad bar and vegetable buffet was full of variety and flavor. Wasn't pricey and an amazing venue for kids.

Staff were friendly
The food on the buffet was disgusting 🤢
Couldn't even try it as I saw at least 4 to 5 flies stuck to the food..
When my main meal arrived it was too big for me as I have a gastric sleeve..
I asked if I could wrap up to take home.. staff member said sorry we don't do that..
Wasted $40 on my meal alone as I could only eat a quarter of ....
After seeing the flies crawl all through the buffet and not being able to take my main meal home..

Popped in for a quick dinner.
Was a good choice.

Plenty of parking space outside the building. There is a small casino, bar and restaurant inside. I just visited the restaurant.
The restaurant comes with free appetizers if you order with the main. And it is a lot, like there is salad, fruit salad, potato salad etc. It is definitely worth the price.
The service is good though. Don't have any complaints about it.
The restaurant is cozy, good for the age of all ranges.
Overall it is a good place to have your meal.

Our family of 4 dined in the other day, we got the parmi, grilled chicken breast and two kids meal. The parmi was the highlight of the meal as well as the salad bar offering a variety of both hot and cold foods. My son loves the corn chips and bread while my partner and I enjoy the lovely fresh variety of veggies/ fruits on offer.
The kids meals are very decently sized with drinks and ice creams included.
Photo attached is the kids steak meal, very decently sized :) and chips are delicious.

Lately the quality of the meals has declined to the point where a recent steak and pizza were inedible. The ‘buffet’ is very simple (gherkins, corn chips, etc), does not include dessert, and requires use of tiny plates. Unpleasant food and quite expensive (circa $30-$35). Seems the locals have cottoned on as the place seems to be a lot less busy than at any time in the past.

Has improved greatly after a visit 5 years ago and give it a wide berth. Returned about 2 months ago and have been a regular here just about every week and find it to be an excellent venue for lunch. Well done to the team for getting it back on top!!

Had a wonderful night out. We all ordered the steak and was cooked to perfection. Great having the buffet salad and hot veges to go with the meal. It was a quiet night at the venue which we loved so much. Plenty of off street parking, wheelchair accessible, an even little snacks to enjoy while having a flutter at the pokies. We will definatly return.

Great value pub food which can't be beaten. $16.50 for roast pork with gravy, yorkshire pudding and roast veggies. Hot and cold salad bar included free with meal. Excellent staff who are friendly and extremely helpful. Tavern has large areas with heaps of room with many tables so no waiting. A little noisy due the large number of people but music was at a low volume. Highly recommended especially at the price.

FREE SALAD BAR BUFFET WITH MAINS! the main meals are very high quality, but the best thing is the service :) the staff i dealt with were all very friendly. especially the male server! shout out to JUSTIN for awesome service!!
the salad bar isnt as good as it was before, but to be honest its just great they opened it back up. im sure the quality of the salad bar will go up as time goes by!
all my friends and family very much enjoyed our dinner here. and they even have a vegetarian meatballs pasta which tastes great! so for that i give 5 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Food and staff were great, I would eat here again. I had the 'Dirty Birdie Parmi' and was quite impressed. Generous servings which made up for the price.

Excellent Prices! Fantastic Food!
The Runcorn Tavern provides a service for all needs and wants. From the extensive Bar, brilliant kitchen, delicious buffet, large gaming room to the wonderful weekly specials like this Mega Seafood Platter for two that fed four. You can't go wrong when selecting a family dinner or night out with friends.
Highly recommend visiting this absolutely five star Tavern!

Came in for my sisters birthday yesterday and had the best customer service in dinner. I forgot what her name was but it starts with a K. From me messing up not adding more people to my booking to bringing out the cake, plates for us. Thank you so much for looking after us!

Booked a private Lunch function here for my mother's surprise 80th Birthday party. My sister liaised with Staff before and during the event . Staff were friendly and obliging to our requests prior to and during our event re food and service.
Our event was in the 'sunken ' area of the Tavern. Decorations were beautiful, the area was roped off, but sadly it didn't stop a group of people coming into our area, who refused to leave and were then given service by staff of coffees in our 'private' area, -which we had paid a fee for private use. The sunken area included the adjoining courtyard, where the unwelcome patrons decided to stay. This intrusion did not sit well with us. We informed staff who apologised and said as no security on, they couldn't do anything to get these people to leave. Staff actually then went on to service this group with their orders in our venue. I thought if service to this group could have been declined, this may have been incentive for the group to leave.
Despite this issue, overall it was a good event. But if you want real privacy, I would recommend booking one of the function rooms with doors. We had initially booked a conference style room, but the air-conditioning had broken down and couldn't be repaired before our function, hence having to move our function to the open , sunken area of the Tavern. So if booking this area, be aware, it can be noisy as it is exposed to the general public area of Tavern, not totally private. Disrespectful patrons may just crash your event.
Re food: we utilised the salad bar, which quickly depleted, in some of the choices, however staff seemed to do their best to replenish. We also used the full menu on offer, food served was a very good standard.

Been several years since I’ve been here. I love what they’ve done to the place. The restaurant looks really grown up whilst still catering to all ages.
Came here to eat the sides as opposed to a main meal and was impressed as it was simple fare done well.
Great service, vibe and ambience. Will return.

Amazing food, Quality and Selection! Very cheap, Don't even need to order a main just order the Salad bar buffet for $16 they also have some hot food in the bar too. Took my son there for his 2nd B'day tonight and he loved it.

All the staff are FANTASTIC very welcoming.
Really impressed not what i expected and was pleasantly surprised.
Will defs be back
Baked brie cheesecake and Churros 7 dollars and DELICIOUS shut up and have my money! 🤤
