We really like the sandbelt. We haven’t been coming for long because we’re not from the area but we head to Moorabbin often. I have to say, if we’re looking at pokie bistros, sandbelt stands out. The staff here are great. very friendly and personable. We like the food too!
We’ll definitely continue coming back.

We ordered our meals, and unfortunately the pizza's on the right of the menu were not available.
Bowl of fries, which we never received.
Garlic and Cheese bread, lovely.
Hawaiian Pizza, which was terrible and the base was like eating cardboard, dry and tasteless my daughter could not eat it.
Nachos, they were dry and lacked flavour, they seemed like they had been sitting somewhere prior and not prepared fresh upon ordering.
Pork Belly special - nothing special about it, pre cooked and re heated is what was presented to us. Not even a warm dish. Did not eat.
Scotch fillet steak - we queried one of the staff to make sure this was in fact a scotch fillet steak as it looked like it was porterhouse or different. The staff member took it to the kitchen and within a minute a different staff member came back, almost through the plate in front of my wife and all she said was "its scotch" and walked away.
We were that unhappy with the food that was served to us, we called a staff member over and explained we would not be eating and left our meals and gave the staff member a business card with my contact details and asked for the manager to contact me.
No mention if there is anything they could do to please us or continue our dinner.
All we got is the “don’t let the door hit you on your way out “

We booked anight in the family suite which had queen, 2 singles which was perfect for our family of four. Reception was so kind and happy to greet us, she was lovely! We also fot complimentary drinks and snacks at the hotel, free drink vouchers at the bistro and the room was clean and spacious. Our kids loved it and rated it 10/10. Would love to come back next time.

The staff were amazing and so helpful. They even catered for a special diet with no worries at all. Good atmosphere we will be back.

The rudest staff this side of the Bay. Red haired bar girl grumpy beyond belief.
Shouldn’t be in hospitality.
Apart from an unhappy server, the place is in a great spot and food is pretty good.

The rooms were clean and within walking distance to where we needed to be.
The little breakfast packs and drink cards were a nice touch.

Sorry but not a good experience. The food is not up to standard in the bistro. We recently had a meal after some time and the quality has not improved. My husband sent his meal back and my was not much better. Please improve we use to eat there regularly as it is close for a quick meal but the last few years it's gone down hill and we'll be avoiding it again.😞

My recent visit to The Sanbelt Hotel left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share my experience. From the moment I walked in , I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere and a very welcoming staff who made me feel like a valued guest.
The food was exceptional for a pub, fresh, delicious and the portion was generous.
The bar was well stocked with a wide range of beers, ciders, wines and spirits and the staff behind the bar are friendly and knowledgeable.
I can recommend The Sandbelt Hotel to anyone in search of a good pub experience, it’s a true gem in the heart of Moorabin.

My recent experience with the sandbelt hotel Moorabin left much to be desired, as the cancellation of my reservation was handled with complete disregard for customer service and professionalism. Not only was my reservation cancelled without prior notification, but the behavior of the hotel manager named Victoria who I had hoped would provide assistance, was shockingly rude and unhelpful. She exhibited rude behavior throughout the ordeal. After doing the online check in the payment was deducted from my bank account. When I approached the manager to inquire about the cancellation email i got she didn’t help me with anything and displayed a dismissive and rude attitude.She also refused to refund my money back. As a guest, I expect to be treated with respect and professionalism. However, the behavior exhibited by the hotel manager Victoria fell far short of these expectations and left a lasting negative impression on my overall experience.

My family and I have been coming here for dinner on and off for a while now.
I have to say, whatever you lot are doing, keep doing it.
The food is so much better. The whole vibe in the bistro has just improved.
The staff in the bistro are the cherry on top!

Love that is close to Holmsglen private hospital in Moorabin. The staff are wonderful and very pleasant. The room was comfortable, and I had everything I needed. With excellent access to bistro. My only criticism was the spider webs on the wall and roof. And the walls were quite thin.

I was so impressed. We enjoyed a meal with friends on New Years Eve and enjoyed the Seniors meal with desert. Schooners of Great Northern at $6 went down very well. All the staff were friendly.

I've been meaning to leave this review but never got around to it.
We came in for dinner on Saturday night. They were quite busy but we were seated promptly and attended to without rush.
The lady who took our order did let us know that there would be a delay with our meals, because we were told, we were fine with it. The meals we ordered, were great. Our table was cleared in a timely manner and overall we really enjoyed our night and dinner.
The staff were very attentive and the customer service overall was refreshing.
1st time for us, but we'll be back.

I had to check in very late after ten and the gentleman stayed late to accommodate that. I know it put him out to do it even as he was very professional not to show it and I'm very grateful. The room was clean, the bathroom was stylish and modern and impressively the holding deposit was returned the very next day. There were complementary drinks for the bar which I unfortunately didn't get to use because, driving. The whole place just had a good vibe. Would definitely recommend

I had the surf and turf on the tuesday trivia night they host there.meals have progressively got better over the last 4 months and the surf and turf the other night was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked nice peice of meat, prawns delicious garnished perfect. Highly recommend!! The bar staff there are great. Also the trivia night is great fun. Eugene the host does a magnificent job!

I had the ocean trout for $34. And the fish wasn't cooked in the middle , the vegetables where nice and the coffee was nice . I was the only customer in the restaurant for lunch so you would think they would get it right .

I called in for dinner to this Hotel never having been there before. After waiting some time at the "Please wait to be Seated" desk I gave up and went to the bar close by. The attendant (middle aged) did not acknowledge my presence as he was so busy making 1 coffee. So after waiting a few minutes I went off to the rest rooms. These were lovely. I then went and ordered a meal then had a 2nd crack at the bar. Was immediately attended to by a different middle aged staff member who was delightful.
My meal was very mediocre...Graziers Beef Pie with mashed lumpy potatoes, something that resembled by way of colour only, mushy peas, very oily onion rings and only mushroom sauce. Meal was hot.
Meat pie filling was delish but pastry base was soggy. The top pastry was ok. They were not busy at all and the meal overall was disappointing to say the least. I didn't eat much but polished off the pie itself. Informed the lovely waitress who said she would tell the chef(??) Sad to say I won't return. A local bayside resident.

Had a large group for dinner, booked in advance but the experience was pretty bad. They seemed short staffed out front (I didn’t see the kitchen but I assume same). Ordered medium rare steak came out well done after 35 minute wait and gravy had cooled down enough it wouldn’t pour out of sauce boat. Half orders (from one group within table) came out while second half 15 minutes later, a salad took even longer than the steak, it wasn’t great. I except 10% surcharge for public holidays but if you can’t offer service don’t open or supply a limited menu

Had a great first time experience there with my family!We got greeted by Nick who was such a gentleman and assist us for all our needs.Food was also fast, was cooked great and tasted even better!Looking forward to get there again!
Definitely recommend the sand belt hotel.

Great night out with the family, service was fantastic, staff friendly and inviting. Sandra the manager was especially warm and friendly and made dining with a 3 year old a pleasure. Highly recommend.

Food was mediocre and expensive. Drinks were also expensive. There was not much seating and it felt very impersonal. They do not do any takeaway, even if you are staying in the accommodation next to it and just want to have food and relax in your room.

Food and drinks were disappointing and took way too long, you need to dramatically improve the service! I won’t be eating there again and won’t be recommending this place. A waste of money today!

Easy check-in using pre check instructions. Easy access parking only doorstep. Room clean and tidy. Spacious of bathroom. I am regularly check in with this hotel.

Drove past with my daughter and thought we’d come in for a quick lunch.i love a hotel/pub meal. The venue is clean with no odours (which I love) there’s tables and both options. The menu was decent, just your standard stuff. I was a tad let down on the price of the Cesar salad which was $20 add $6 for 3 small bits of chicken. But it is what it is. Otherwise great place

Dined at Sandbelt bistro for first time in many years. Menu is well priced and offers Seniors meals. We tried the steak and schnitzel and both were good.

Been coming here for a while now with my family and they've got a great pub menu but we always come for the specials board. They always have something new and delicious to pick from. The staff are always lovely and attentive as well.
The restaurant has got heaps of seating options and a play ground for the little ones.

Bar service is good not a large selection of beers. Bisto menu is standard pub and the service was quick but impersonal (rushed).
