We walked into full bistro with no booking and let me tell you the service was brilliant! The entire staff from the kitchen, waiter and bar staff worked like a well oiled machine. It was awesome to witness. The food was served hot and was delicious. Cannot fault a thing! Thank you kindly for your service.

Went there last night.
I had the pork, was awful felt like it had been reheated a few times.
My friend had the pie and it was burnt.
Coffee was pretty ordinary as well 😌
I did complain but nothing was done.
Very disappointed.
It was a great pub to go to years ago....

We held our sons 21st in the function room.
Venue was great, food great!!
Would definitely recommend these guys, staff are amazing !

We had dinner here last night ,meals were very good and good size too. Service was good and quick. Only criticism was the music was a little loud in the bistro. Couldn't hear the person on the other side of the table. Will definitely go back.

We had a lovely meal tonight. Made memorable by the young man doing a rendition of Tom cruise and Brian browns bar scene. Unfortunately for him, he smashed a glass on the ground but we loved his moves and was so entertaining. I hope he keeps up the moves. You made our night. Thank you.

We had a lovely lunch over the weekend, the meals were amazing, the staff were great especially the Manager, he is a really nice & friendly down to earth person, he asked us if everything was Ok with our meals & he was really lovely with other customers too. There was an elderly man at the bar where the Manager made an effort to go & talk to him, this is exceptional customer service, thank you for making customers feel important, the elderly man came past our table & had a chat, he also mentioned the Manager was the best in the business, we definitely agree to that! We also went to a live show & dinner late last year & we had a fantastic time, the staff & the Manager provided first class service. We will definitely be coming back when we are in the area & telling our friends what an amazing pub & excellent Management from the amazing manager, thank you for the fantastic customer service & lovely atmosphere.

We had a Christening event today and the entire team at the Sandown Park Hotel were amazing to deal with. The team is honest and attentive to our needs throughout the day it was easy. The food quality was great and plentiful and the cost of the function was very reasonable. Thanks guys we really appreciate it

We celebrated a 90th birthday there.We had a Buffet lunch menu which was amazing. Exceptional helpful staff.

Was there for the rockabilly music and the car show. Nice venue, good dance floor, missed the first band, the second was doing a sound check when i was there. I was there for about 35min in total. Looking also to see the size of the room for when the Fleetwood Mac covers band going to be at the venue in a couple of weeks time.

This review was for my sister-in-law's 80th Birthday which was held in the function rooms on 9/2/24. 5 star experience from service to food to the atmosphere.
Wendy the Functions Co-Ordinator was totally amazing & just went out of her way in working with me in regards to number of people (as I kept swapping & changing) and especially dietary requirements.We had the Carvery Menu for $35.00 very very reasonably priced especially when it came to the amount of food that I had to select. Would highly recommend this menu.
Robyn was extremely friendly, attentive & helpful in making sure that everything went according to plan.
Very very good comments in regards to the food from our families & the variety that was had.
An absolute fabulous time was had by all.

The service and food were exceptionally good (the schnitzel was so tender) and great value for money. All the staff were friendly and helpful, particularly Seth.

The Sandown Park Hotel was not our first choice for our 2 day workshop but it was the best choice. The planning, event management, food and service was outstanding and exceeded our expectations … thankyou Ariana and especially Wendy for looking after our Chubb team. Amazing service !!

The night was started with to brilliant guys getting us seated but was topped by the lady at the bar who made this the best mother's day dinner. Her name was Robyn and she made it so much easier to accommodate our two picky kids. She deserves a raise.

Superb food, friendly staff. Special shout out to Mara for a warm smile and a friendly welcome.
Bistro serves a variety of excellent meals. Best parmas, and the top of the line steak is worth it.
Voted down one star due to needing to order via my phone and credit card. It feels impersonal, and the QR code pointed to the wrong table.

Paper jammed when I ticketed out ~ $23 from a slot machine. Called attendant , the $23 balance was displaying on the screen , Kerrie (gaming attendant) opened the slot door to restart and the balance disappeared. She then proceed to make assumption comments that maybe the slip had already been taken as there was no balance making me feel like a thief. Screen transaction indicates approx $23. She then continued to make comments when refunding the money stating that the number wasn’t appearing on her screen either. I suggested they check their cctv but honestly this whole thing made me feel like a thief for $23. Unbelievable
Thankfully, attendant Dave knew what he was doing and assisted.

Not overly impressed on my last visit. I swear I was served frozen vegetables.
With the roast lamb on a Sunday.
Anyway like the place as it gas pool tables.. used to. Bistro was great years ago.
Atmosphere is fine.
Okay little spot.
Average price for average food.

I came here today to celebrate my sisters birthday. And honestly I had the best time. The staffs were super friendly and the food was soo good. A big shoutout to Judas and Tarryn . Will highly recommend this place.

On behalf of Pastor Eric and the entire guests, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere gratitude to you, Ariana and all your staff for a very successful and enjoyable birthday function last Wednesday, 01 May 2024. We were glad everyone liked the tables' arrangement and amenities provided. I have never heard of any negative remarks about the buffet that was served on that night. Everybody enjoyed it!
Thank you also for accommodating our seemingly never-ending stream of request to amend the number of guests prior to the function.
One thing we forgot was to use the photo booth on that night... but never mind rest assured there will always be another time in the future.

Great pub with about 10 excellent pool tables, nice outdoor area, and some of the nicest food we have tasted. The staff are very friendly and go that bit extra to really give excellent service. Huge screen TV and separate gaming area. Was there on Australia Day, and the games and Jag The Joker were great fun. The manager is a really nice fellow and always happy for a chat. $6 schooners of VB and Five Seeds Cider on tap at $8.70 for a schooner. Had the Seniors Roast of the day with plum pudding and custard dessert for $20, and it was delicious.

Confusing visit! We ordered a 150g medium well porterhouse and a 300g medium porterhouse - we were first brought out two 150g porterhouses, one medium well and one medium, but the staff came over very quickly before we had a change to bring it to their attention and rectified it very quickly.
However, we were brought out a 300g porterhouse with bbq sauce, not gravy as requested, and my 150g porterhouse was the thickness of a sizzle steak and mainly fat! Unfortunately we were both disappointed with our meals.
Our drinks order apparently didn't print out at the bar, so hubby had to ask for the drinks, and same went for our daughter's icecream at the end of our meal.
Honestly, staff were super friendly, and the environment is lovely - just a bit of a disappointing meal, and we were both left still very hungry but too worried to order again in case it happened again!

Cold steak butter didn't even melt, ordered medium rare they gave us medium and it's not properly seasoned, my wife informed the guy with the earrings and just said sorry, not even offer to change the food

Celebrated Mother’s Day here on Sunday and it was fantastic. The food is always delicious and the staff were great considering it was a busy day. But to top it off, each mother was given a beautiful hyacinth 🪻 plant to take home. A beautiful gesture and also they had a Photo Booth with free photos. We had so much fun with that. Thank you to everyone responsible for a wonderful day.

Been here a few times but this one was the worst.
My daughter didn’t want to eat while we were there. We ordered her a Parma
I asked if we could take it home the lady said no. I advised her why it would be going home she didn’t care. Then I asked if I have my own container in the car if I could take it she said she didn’t care. So what is your policy no take away. Or there is take away with own containers. I paid for the meal. Why can’t I take it home. She was the rudest person I have ever come across

Beautiful aesthetic room for the wake of my late father. Tables and chairs which were beautifully decorated with simple yet classic centrepieces.
Service was also exceptional with all inquiries and requests given straight away.
Thank you so much Sandown pub. Being so close to come to after Springvale cemetery was just so great.

Another delightful meal at the sundown hotel with amazing food and customer services that go above and beyond for there customers. I also want to say Seth and robin are amazing staff members with amazing personalities and there customer service is always great.

A big thank you to Robyn and Ashton for their excellent service and patience throughout the night! Would highly recommend for a fun night out, plus the cocktails were crazy cheap ($5 for a strawberry daiquiri)!

5 stars for a local bistro for such amazing service. We had 2 in our party of 4 with food allergies and the staff were just brilliant-- helping me make the alterations and double checking everything was correct. Their attentiveness really put our minds at ease. Thank you.
