Went for dinner and meals were tasty & well- sized.
Steaks were cooked to perfection ( one medium- rare, the other well done). Only negative- chips were a bit limp and not hot.
Overall good service, food and value for money.

We love eating here on Fridays or Saturdays. Because the food variety is so good we study the menu. But always resort to ordering serveral entrees. Everything you see in the photo is absolutely mouth watering . Sometimes we order one more because it’s never to filling just right. We recommend to everyone

We had a family birthday get together dinner here after a Tues afternoon roller-skating session nearby. No one had been here before and everyone had a great time and commented how excellent the food was. Staff were also very friendly and helpful bringing out our bought birthday cake with lit candles, plates and cutlery. We all had a great night. Thanks!

We didn't book, they were busy but accommodated us in the hotel breakfast room off the main room. I had a burger which was decent. They forgot to bring my beer until prompted but got it quickly after that in time to have it with the food. Others on the table had seafood platter, steak and Texas Parma. Everyone thought their food was nice. Service wasn't quick but nor was it slow.

We came last minute as our favourite takeaway was closed.
Ordered seniors meals - steak & assortment of seafood.
Food was well priced & tasty.
Staff were helpful, friendly & efficient.

Very busy, popular place to find a good meal in the Carrum Downs area. My wife was happy with her gluten-free roast of the day, and l had a very nice schnitzel. Friendly service, clean and reasonable prices. Well worth a visit.

The food is Good. I ordered parma and it took 40 minutes to come and i wasn't very happy. it was loud from all the tvs in there and it was cold because the cooling was on and they didn't turn it off when heaps of people asked for them to turn it off.

The food for my birthday dinner was really nice but the experience was a little spoiled by being refused a doggy bag for my leftover food - which I had paid for - especially because the waitress said they needed a permit to give me one. Under the Victorian Food Act they can give me a doggy bag and to my knowledge no such permit exists.

Roast lamb was very tough and chewy.
Place to order meal is dreadful, standing in queue around tables, and had to keep moving to let people at the table in and out.
Ordering was much better before.!

Parma was woeful. The quality of ingredients is shocking, can’t blame the chefs, they can only use what is provided to them. Around 9 months ago when the menu changed the food got decent for a while, it seems the food has dropped back to where it was before the change. For close to $30 you expect a lot more, definitely just stick to the beer from now on.

On Thursday 15th - Friday 16th September 2022 my fiancé and I went to Sands Hotel - Carrum downs. As I walked in Jennine smiled at me and I said Hello and told her I was going to my room. The customer service is always perfect. The queen room and the facilities were amazing. It was clean. The shower head was huge and it was spacious inside too. Bed was comfortable and supportive. When we were leaving we met Erin and told her how much we enjoyed staying there. We wanted to come back again. She was very welcoming and encouraged us to return again. Amazing. Thank you :D
On Wednesday 7th September my fiancé and I went to the Sands Hotel - Carrum downs. We ordered the Southern Fried Burger, Chicken Parma and Lemon, Lime Bitters. We were looked after by Lea and she makes the best drinks and has amazing customer service as well. We can’t wait to return for lunch again. Thank you :D

Only had lunch here, good service and food and great club to play pokies. Plenty of room in dining room.

My mum booked the function room for my grans 90th.
The food was really good. Big thanks to Lana, Teresa, Erin and Hilary.
We were really impressed with the service. Thanks so much for making sure everything was to a great standard.

My mother just moved to the area and we thought we would try out her new local for a birthday dinner. Teresa who looked after us was so kind and accommodating, all of our meals were delicious, the kids area kept all our little ones entertained and the drinks were reasonably priced. Highly recommend and we will be returning again!

I recently stayed here for work and was very impressed with my room. It was so spacious, with beautiful decor and an amazing rain shower in the bathroom. The place was immaculate and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. My only gripe is the coffee ☕️. It’s from a vending machine which is okay but not the best and there is no selection of alternatives milks but you’re not far away from some lovely little cafes.

I'm always at this pub love it. Tonight was a bit disappointing though. The Parma tasted microwaved. It was ok but not the best. I ordered a VB pint first one was amazing. I went back to the bar to order another. The beer came from the wrong tap. Tasted strange.

Hi firstly I'd like to say I had read the reviews about this place and don't understand how people can actually rubbish the staff at The Sands , the sports bar has such friendly ladies behind the bar , I went in with my partner and she was made to feel so comfortable by the ladies serving her , I am unusually big and I was met by John behind the bar with a cheeky grin and a laugh , people are so quick to judge others on appearance and I can say I was made to feel extremely welcome. I can't stand people who visit a new venue and judge staff and then rubbish them on line , places like the the sands take me back to the country pubs where I grew up , this one and it's staff is a hidden gem 💎 I highly recommend.

Good pub, friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Have eaten here twice in the last two weeks with my wife and daughter and the food was great each time. Can highly recommend!

Good place to stay when travelling for work. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Adjacent to the hotel where thte meals are good with generous servings. You can also get breakfast in the hotel from 7am.

Food was ok… I ordered a steak 🥩 on the App but it wasn’t functioning properly so I never received my order. By the time we found out the others in the party had eaten. So be very careful when using the App… We stayed at the nightcap hotel 🏨 apart of the complex. The free drink wasn’t free, false and misleading… We never received the 10% discount as specified…

First time visiter. Loved the atmosphere, music was not to loud. Service was impeccable and the food was too notch. Brilliant highly recommend

Dined in the function room - absolutely delicious meals - very friendly staff. Air con way too high (but not sure if anyone asked to turn it down so no dissing). Great for any function.

Absolutely pissed off with the old female manager on front door. Rude, nasty and angry the second I walked in the door with my 84 yr old mother.
Sorry if I asked to move us to a quieter table as my mother is hard of hearing.
The exact same request has been accommodated in the past, with a smile, at least 1/2 doz times before, but not this time!!
Never seen this sour woman before, and will be looking for somewhere else to take my mother in the future. There was NO need for that attitude, I hadn't done anything wrong...
A big thank you to the ladies in the Pokies room for keeping an eye on my mother.. They were incredibly pleasant and helpful.

2nd time I had been here this time for a function. Had battered fish and chips, was awful. Ordered dessert had to ask where it was and it was disappointing. This place could be a real cracker if they could do great meals, makes me want to cry as it is my local. Was charged different prices for repeat glass of wine, it seemed to get more expensive as the night went on.
