Would not recommend I took my mum there for lunch we spent nearly $60 on lunch and the chicken schnitzel was processed and tuff as nails and mums beef schnitzel was the same. It was muggy and hot and all of the people serving were rude especially the girl in the dining room with the tattoos and the lady in the gaming room was even ruder and it stunk of b.o

Went to the website and sent an email to the manager about a bad experience and NO REPLY !!
Went to the SETTLERS for a friend's 65th birthday . She ordered the warm chicken salad.... the chicken was overcooked, dry and tasteless the salad if you can call it a salad was shredded cabbage and carrot (like a coleslaw mix) on a bed of bitter lettuce. No tomato, cucumber etc which you expect for a salad ! It was inedible !! She returned it and all the waiter said was sorry THAT WAS IT NO OFFER OF REFUND OR REPLACEMENT. Absolutely no customer service provided and no return email so now I have posted our experience......
She left to get something to eat.
My roast was really nice plenty of meat veggies and gravy. I did offer to share my meal but we assumed the kitchen would bring something out for her. NO DID NOT HAPPEN !!!
I then went into the pokie room the guy sitting next to me got brought out a fancy latte he had ordered and told me at least you get a free made latte. So I went up to order a made hot chocolate and was handed a cup to go use the coffee machine I said I wanted one made like the guy next to me he said it would cost $3.50. I told him I wasn't going to pay So he pointed to the cup was rude and said something derogatory and walked off.
I tried the hot chocolate in the coffee machine and it was disgusting!!
Once again no customer service.
The staff need to go to the Clovercrest hotel to learn excellent customer service
.A company is only as good as its staff !!
PS we did try and do the right thing and left a note in the tell us about your experience box with a phone number for them to contact us on AND NO REPLY
So either
(a) the note was removed by staff or
(b) management just don't care

Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon, the meals were good, the buffet could have been better but it was pretty well stocked.

Waited an hour for our meals. My husband and I ordered Beef Schnitzels. He paid extra $7 for 3 tiny prawns with shell still on the tails as a topper for his. The Schnitzel itself was rectangular and hard as a rock. It was gross. We also ordered first in a table of 12. I got mine first and he got his when I had nearly finished mine. Wont be back.

Visited for a family Christmas lunch and honestly the cheer of the day most likely saved this from a worse review. The skeleton staff who were on were doing their best and tried to keep face but could tell they were struggling.
Stuffy room, only two serving stations for a fully booked event left you queued for 20mins plus for whatever you could get.
Seating was crammed so the queue was awkward around people trying to eat.
Quality of food was not great. Some cold, some undercooked. Certainly not worth the $90+ ask.
The place felt very cold and tired. Perhaps on a not so crazy day it may be better? I won't be coming back to try and find out.

Very poor service due to under staffing. We were a large group booked into the Function Room. Ordered our meals between 12.15pm and 12.45pm. Many did not receive meals until 2.30pm and some had to wait until after 3pm. Some food was over cooked and poor quality, although mine (S&P squid) was good, but the salad was just lettuce.
A very poor experience. I/we will never eat there again.

The spacious dining is what stands out here with lots of room between tables.
For a sunday lunch it wasn't busy and meals were standard and as expected.
A couple of our group said gravy was not tasty but otherwise everything ok. Dinner rolls didn't come out until after our main meals which we thought was funny.

The service from Justin in the front bar was exceptional. What a lovely bloke who had a smile for everyone and couldn't do enough to help people. Best customer service I have experienced in a while. Great stuff mate 👍

Really enjoy going to this venue with family (children). Not crowded with tables, and divided taking considering for those who have children to dine closer to the indoor playground than those who don't want to be annoyed by little-ones.
Staff are always great!
Variety of food choices, and a specials board. Never experienced a bad meal here.

Only people in dining room so the kids enjoyed it. Kids meal came out late after all adult meals. Not advised of PH surcharge on booking

My daughter and I ordered 1/2 chicken Snitzel. Look at picture.. Ripped off! $10 pints too!

Manager is arrogant and rude, has no customer service skills and speaks to his staff atrociously. It's no wonder staff turnover is high!!! Functions are a shambles and HR do nothing in regards to staff feedback or complaints... Don't waste your time filling in the feedback cards because it only falls on deaf ears, if they're even looked at. From my personal experience I received lots of positive feedback from patrons both personally and in writing, however that would never be acknowledged by egotistical management that suffer professional jealousy, instead of seeing exceptional staff as an asset to the business . Big Mistake!!!

Lovely lunch at the Settlers Tavern with friends for Christmas Day. The staff were on the go the whole time filling the buffet or picking up dirty dishes. First time having a Christmas Day meal at a hotel. Definitely an experience and very good idea for seniors or people on their own. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄

Kids play area was great, kitchen were able to make accomodate for my dairy allergy. Staff were super friendly and helpful.
Southern fried chicken was meh. But the rest was amazing.

Just served by a Bloke in the drive through. He had obviously knocked off as he was in his own car leaving the car park. Saw the drive through was busy, jumped out of his car and served 4 cars to clear the queue. Great service

It was a bit quiet for what we have seen the food was OK my wife said that the roast pork was cooked a bit to long 🙋♀️

Have a nice meat raffle but be sure to gamble responsibly on their community group funded meat raffle. #gambleresponsiblyandsupportagoodcause. Social club is great- fun groups; friendly ppl.

Had Xmas lunch on the 25/12/23
All of the menu was not out by 12pm.
Had to line up which was a stupid
Set up.
Hot mains were cold.
A jug of beer wine or softdrink should have been included in the price@$95per head.
The staff couldn't keep up with high demands.
Our Xmas lunch was NOT worth $95.
& a family member ended up having covid & couldn't make it.
She only got refunded $30 instead of $95.
My family & I were pretty disappointed.
We won't be back!

Had dinner here with the family and we were all happy. Service was great, really friendly staff. Food was good too, good portions, chicken burger was really good and so was the burrito bowl. The plant-based mince surprised me, tasted just like the real thing it was excellent. The kids got a voucher for a drink and dessert each which was a nice touch. The only downside was that they were out of beans for the burrito bowl, must be a popular one I guess. Overall a solid 4/5, would go again!

Had a steak. Was good. Good sized serve. Prices were good too. Used a voucher for a special deal - buy one meal get one free. Friendly service. Meals arrived in quick time. Will go here again.

Had a lovely honey mustard chicken. I did also add lots of veg from the salad and veg bar. The bread rolls were deliciously hot.
The staff were also great and very friendly.

Great place for a meal reasonably priced it's fairly quiet whenever we go. There is a childrens play area. The restaurant isn't flash but its clean

First time here, but I was a Sunday so not very busy. Several items were unavailable after we ordered, so we had to alter orders. This happens sometimes, so it's not overly a problem. The wedges and garlic bread arrived in good time and were very tasty. The roast pork was cooked well but tasteless and the gravy even more tasteless. The seafood basket was ok but also a little flavorless and the tiny piece of fish served was dry and overcooked. The corned beef was the winner for the night and was quite good. Overall for a pub meal it was ok but not great!

Been coming here for a few years now, as the staff are really nice and kind.
The food is delicious and tasty as the chicken schnitzel was delicious and mouth watering as the crumbing was crunchy and tasty too
As the salad was nice. The Diane gravy was delicious as I could dip more wedges into that gravy and ate them all day every day
