Went here for lunch. The staff were nice enough, but there weren't many working. Our food took at least an hour to arrive and had clearly been cooked a while before that. There weren't many other people waiting for food, so I don't see why it could have taken so long. Sometimes there was nobody working at the bar, which is not only a service issue but also a security issue considering some of the patrons were clearly drunk. The staff I saw were very nice, but there just wasn't enough of them even though there weren't many patrons. I also don't know why the food could ever have taken that long to arrive when it was clearly cooked a while before hand.

We had fantastic stay at the Shamrock, rooms are newly renovated and are modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean. Beds were comfortable and all the expected amenities like tea, coffee, milk and even bickies close at hand. Room had a huge brand new Philips Smart TV (At least 40”+)mounted on the wall. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I travel with an accredited Service Dog, even though it wasn’t listed as dog friendly, the Shamrock were very accommodating, and let me know by email that everything was ok with my booking. The location is very good walking distance to the city centre and shopping centre. I highly recommend the Shamrock Hotel Motel. Next time I’m in Toowoomba, I will definitely be staying at the Shamrock Hotel Motel again. Thanks Again. AAA+++

Unfortunately wasn’t what we expected. Facilities in room/bathroom poor. Shower rails pulled off wall leaving steel pieces (where the rails had been) poking out of wall. Curtains looked like sacks. Aircon very noisy. Room needed a good paint and reno. |On the up side - the bed was comfy and king size. Towels and bedding clean. |There is a kettle and coffe/tea station and small fridge. The tv is on top of the wardrobe. |The stairwell had loose and broken tiles and looked like it needed a good clean. |The staff were very friendly.

This was a pub my partner and I stumbled on late evening looking for a meal. The staff were very friendly and helpful. She gladly took our order and the meal arrived quickly and was very nice. Thanks for the laughs.

The Shamrock is our Tuesday afternoon go-to for a friendly drink while the kids are in ballet at the church hall next door! This might sound bad, but it's a great way for busy mums/grandmums to unwind during a frantic week. The pub has become our haven, with wonderful cheerful staff who welcome us with delicious drinks and treats for the kids for an hour or two. We love to unwind at the Shamrock!

The room was neat and the price was really affordable. We stayed for a night and everything was close by. They have pokies and bar as well. The staff who checked us in was really friendly and helpful too.

The hotel is 100% top tier. Nobody is anticipating the five star treatment in a humble spot like this. However, I can say that the room was very comfortable, the staff was extremely accommodating and the price was affordable. The experience outweighs the price and it’s very telling that the operation maintains a clear standard.

Quiet pub well air-conditioned lovely staff. Really clean toilet facilities. We stopped for lunch and had a lunch special which was great value. We got a schooner of Byron Bay craft beer with a steak ( rump ) chips and coleslaw for $20 all up each. My steak was fabulous best rump I've had in a while, melt in the mouth. The chips could have been hotter but I'm really picky about hot chips. The slaw was nice. All up 8 / 10 for a pub meal

Price was $227 for two nights 2 people online When we arrived they insisted on charging $243 Wouldn't even consider my problem Ok then.... Next sorry bistro closed!! We had decided to stay there as they had food and drinks Next bar is closed ( after driving all day FFS) Show holiday Ok then ... Woke at dawn to what I thought were a huge noise of rattling pipes. Someone's up having a shower I thought I thought it loud enough to wake all 30 or whatever rooms really loud Never got back to sleep ( My son reckons it was a motor bike) Then there is someone hammering something at 615 am persistent for a long time Ok then We avoided the place all day after we tried to get lunch ( Sign at entrance says closed due to no staff available) Had to have an early night due to no sleep Woken at 2 am Massive party in carpark and verandas.............people everywhere Got up to check it out when it was going for an hour or so. Tried to sleep useless At 430am I stood at my door entrance and watched all these people drinking and yelling Looked dangerous They finally went to sleep at dawn What more can I say

Nice & clean, however no glasses of any description. Managed to get some from staff in the bar, but reluctant to hand overdue to new owners.|No fire alarm! Alarming! |Had what we needed. Small fridge iced up. Toilet paper dispenser no longer in use. Toilet roll on the cistern. Why?

My son left his beloved toy cars in our room and the staff found them and posted them to our address. Amazing service.

Karaoke night's are always great. Sufficient security to temper any "incidents" means it felt a safe environment for all of us. Meals are good, and well priced. Friendly staff. One of my venues of choice

Its very exciting to write a post that describes an experience thar outweighs expectations. I was here for two days with my friend and i can tell you that it was next level in every aspect. The attention to detail was evident from the food to the checkout. If you are passing through give this hidden gem a go.

It's advertised as a 3-star motel, so I didn't expect much. However I did get cheapish accommodation at short notice for carnival of flowers. If all you need is a bed for the night, a warm shower, and a place to base yourself, it's not bad. It's located in a good central location. However, entry is from one direction only. They were polite enough at reception when I checked in. There were coffee/ tea making facilities, etc. My only couple of complaints were, the iron leaked, and I had to ask for an ironing board. Also, the toilet seemed to be leaking as first thing next morning water on the floor despite not using the toilet or shower once. I did report it the next day, and they said they would look at it. For the parade, despite checking out, they let me leave my car in carpark and stroll the short distance down to watch the parade. Probably a bit overpriced for what you get in my opinion, especially when there is double the amount of units to immediate onsite parking

I stayed with this accommodation two years ago generally with no complaints. It was pretty rundown but for the price yeah was pretty comfortable, The restaurant was good and the room adequate for my needs. Based on those experiences two years ago I booked in to accommodation for two nights on reservation and I specifically asked for a ground level suite with an open shower as I am using a wheelchair during the night. They gave the room away ignoring my request and they wanted me to go to an upstairs suite. That’s not going to work. The other option they gave me was for a suite with a bath tub shower which is out of the question as I wear a prosthetic. So I was left with no place to go in no option until I found other accommodation more willing to shoot my needs. The Shamrock is under new management and it seems that they are not very organised. They’ve lost a customer.

Had meal here whilst staying in Toowoomba, the food was first class, the service first class. We had two more meals here and they were just as good. Would recommend this establishment for great food at reasonable prices. The staff are very proud of their product and treat the customers as they expect to be treated. 100% great establishment - Enjoy

Great pub who serve good hearty meals that are good value. The staff are lovely and happy to have a chat. We stayed in the motel for the night and can say the rooms are very clean and comfy. We highly recommend this lovely pub that will only get better as the renovations are completed.

Great. Provided me with free soft drinks as I was designated driver for the night and was surrounded by liqoured up people. Felt comfortable even though it wasn't my lounge room which speaks volumes. Nice updated venue. Far cry from the seediest pub in Toowoomba now. Very refreshing atmosphere.

Good value. Clean. Defiently budget, but thats what you expect for the price. They provided a space heater, which was enough. TV was very small. Very budget... Close walking to the CBD. Other near by options if you want fancy ($$$). Rooms are not connected to the pub, so I had no noise.

Friendly staff, great location. I believe there are new owners and renovations are soon to start. If you're a bit finicky I'd wait until the renos are done before booking here. The bathroom was a bit iffy.... no towel rails (but brackets where they once were), no shower curtain (not my problem to dry the floor but it meant hard to get warm in the shower as the cold air joined in), the toilet ran constantly so I had to turn the tap off. Despite repair attempts, the toilet leak was evidenced by a high tide mark stain on the tiles. Aside from being a bit tired and dated, the room itself was sparkling clean and had everything we needed.

Compliments to the chef, we rarely venture out for a night but for the food and service at the Shamrock, it may very well become a weekly thing. Thank you 😊

A bit rough around the edges, bare metal protruding from bathroom walls where something is missing. There is no shower screen, so the floor gets wet and water pools around the toilet. The bedside table had a layer of dust, the cutains did not block much light. There is a constant whining noise from outside the room, or it may be the fridge. Positives, you are close to the city, the bed is very comfortable and the room is a good size

(2021) Morons misplaced our booking, instead of fessing up to it they tried to play it off by giving us a family room upstairs in an abandoned area, it was a dump, none of the promised amenities and they had locked off that part of the building when we came back from dinner that night so we had to wait 40 minutes for someone to come unlock it in order to access our rooms. (Via throwing shoes at their upstairs daughters window). They thought they played us good, we knew they were missing a few brain cells from the get-go, we just thought it was pathetically funny. The room was disgusting but found a couple hundred dollars underneath the mattress so I came out winning when I left. I was one of the fortunate ones. :)

$100 plus for a room, no TV , shared bathroom, smokers on the stairs, pretty average for the price. Backpackers are more value for the same.
