Across the street from the Westfield Doncaster shopping centre, this laid-back hotel is 1 km from Eastern Golf Club and 2 km from the M3 freeway. Ruffey Lake Park is 2 km away. We went down to the pub for a nice meal. Food was not bad but the service was non existent. We had no waiters around our dining area during the time we were eating. We had stacked dirty plates on our table after we ate and the wait staff only attempted to clear half the table and never return. Shame cos the food wasn’t bad but was pricey considering the quality.

We visited the Caberet Room for a concert. A large space for functions it is well set up. Food options were a bit limited, but tasty and promptly delivered. The men's toilet was very untidy and it stinks. Otherwise a good venue.

Went for dinner on mothers day. Admittingly they were extremely busy however this was my experience. Waited for over one hour for our food to arrive at the table. We ordered 2 steaks cooked medium - we got one well done and one raw steak. The steak was really low quality and was full of grissle. Think I will go elsewhere next time. On a brighter note the peppercorn gravy and salad was excellent but hardly worth the $40 I paid for each steak.

We just saw BABBA live at the Shoppingtown Hotel and everything was simply amazing!
From the staff (Simon and his team), the venue easily catered for 400 patrons, allowing for dancing up near the stage, as well as tables and chair, for those wanting to relax and enjoy the band and with two well stocked bars which complemented the venue nicely. We had so much fun, we could not get off the dance floor. Well done to everyone for giving us a memorable experience. 😊

We had lunch on Mother's Day in a fairly large group. The service was excellent and the food arrived promptly and was very tasty. I had the vegan Teriyaki and the feedback from others was also very positive.
We were delighted on arrival to see that the four mothers in our group all received a gift - and not a cheap gift either! Great experience!

We had a wonderful Mothers Day lunch yesterday and couldn’t speak high enough of the service and delicious food. We will most definitely return. ( and thankyou for the Mother’s Day gifts- it was a very thoughtful gesture and pleasant suprise)

We had an amazing birthday party today! The party host was incredibly helpful, ensuring everything ran smoothly and catered for food allergies. The magician organized by the hotel was fantastic and tailored the performance perfectly for the age group. We had so much fun, and it truly made the day special. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

We had a large group and my meal took over 1 hour. Was disappointed with the time, I had grilled salmon and that was great.

We come here regularly. Beds are great. Basic facilities in the rooms. Sometimes you can hear noise from the next room,but generally it's a nice place to stay.

We are regulars bringing mum up for a lunch for a while. The staff are always so friendly and good serving delicious and generous. Today I had the porterhouse special. It was cooked to perfection (rare) and had great flavor. Mum had the seniors grilled fish with was very moist and had lovely flavor. Brilliant lunch once again, Thankyou.

Travelled to Melbourne for work. Decided on Doncaster accommodation so Nightcap at Shoppingtown Hotel looked like a good choice. Booked directly & got great service from Laura & acommodation manager. The room was a great with everything needed for business travel. Good choice of dining & bar options on site with great meal choices. Complimentry breakfast packs were handy for early morning starts.

Tonight was especially exceptional food wise ranging from the exceptionally well done batter of the fish and chips to the incredibly well executed steak done in medium rare with a great balance. All thanks to Max the head chef, tonight was a great meal.

Today, I had lunch at the Shopping Town Hotel, and it was a delightful experience. The food was delicious, offering a good variety of options. They have special senior menus, which are thoughtfully portioned and provide great value.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. Their outstanding service truly enhanced our dining experience.
I highly recommend the Shopping Town Hotel for anyone looking for a great meal with excellent service.

So wonderful to experience five star service in the burbs. A good variety of tasty dishes on the menu and modest prices. A special thanks to Luke who ensured nothing was a problem from charging my phone to helping with a spilt drink. Gemma also was a great cocktail maker and smiley table service. Thank you

Really enjoyed our lunch at the bistro. Food was good and prices very reasonable, especially for seniors 👍. Staff were very friendly and helpful and there's a lovely light, bright airy feeling there on a winter's day. We'll definitely be back.

My wife and I just saw BABBA at the Shoppingtown Hotel and what an absolute bash, Simon and his team put on. But being regulars my wife and I weren't surprised. For Simon and his team, putting on nights like this is like shelling peas.. Simon and his team are well organised and everything ran like clockwork. For anyone wanting to see great live bands at a fantastic, run by a fantastic team, you can't go past the Shoppingtown Hotel. Keep an eye for their upcoming live bands... you won't be disappointed. Well done Simon and team!!!

Mothers Day lunch In memory of my late mother was great at the Shoppingtown Hotel.
The Seafood Tower was Awesome Highly recommend.
Luke and Melanie that served us at the bar were very professional with there service.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS.
My father (91) and I had our first experience that afternoon at the Bistro. Without a booking. They made a big effort to get us a table.
THANK YOU SO MUCH.
We will be coming back with friends in the future.

I wish to thank Zoe for her exceptional service. We booked the Garden Bar for my dad's birthday and would definitely book it again for another event. The bar staff were amazing and friendly, the food was good, with compliments from guests regarding the spring rolls, the mac and cheese croquettes and the mushroom arancini. Everyone had a fantastic time and loved the venue. It was perfect for what we needed. We were able to arrive early to set up decorations and time after to pack up. Zoe was great leading up to the event and answering all my emails and many questions. Thank you again to Zoe and Emily for a wonderful night.

I recently visit at Nightcap at Shoppingtown Hotel, I have to give a huge shoutout to their incredible customer service team.
Unfortunately, I misplaced my wallet. I panicked, retracing my steps everywhere I went, but it was nowhere to be found. Dejected, I called hotel reception to explain my situation.
The staff went above and beyond to help. They not only checked the lost and found thoroughly, but also talked to their manager to assist
To my immense relief, someone hand it back and everything still in the wallet. I was so grateful for their honesty and attentiveness.
This experience truly highlights the exceptional customer service at Nightcap at Shoppingtown Hotel. Their genuine care and willingness to go the extra mile made a stressful situation much easier to handle. Despite the initial scare, I would definitely recommend this hotel to others for its comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and outstanding service.

Have been here many times to see bands and have had great nights. Last week we were looking forward to another fun night out with the girls.
Unfortunately the decision to include a "dinner & show" package to the night was very inconvenient to those just there to see the band. The dining tables were left after the meal and took up more than half of the dance floor which made it difficult for supporting the band and dancing. I can't imagine it was enjoyable for those at the tables having people standing/dancing right in front of them.
Overall it is a great venue but we definitely won't be back for any nights with a dinner package.

Great spot for a family gathering. Nice view. Prompt service. Salmon very good and the open souvlaki and waffle fries great. Saturday night booking for 19 adults and kids handled nicely. Plenty of choice for all

Gathering of 24 people aged 18 months to mid-70s for 3 presentations over 5 hours. Ample secluded parking for guests’ cars was available adjacent to the meeting space. All equipment in the Galaxy Room was reliable; plentiful delicious savoury & dessert foods (catering for allergies) was delivered on time. Adjacent indoor and easily monitored outdoor spaces catered for the young and any disengaged people. Event manager Zoe oversaw all aspects of planning leading up to and on the day in a warm and friendly manner, coped with a coffee machine breakdown during the event, and ensured coffee, refreshments and such were provided during all breaks. Attendees expressed great satisfaction with the experience at this venue.

First impressions of this hotel are it needs a face lift! Very old and very tired!
The thing it has going for it is the view of the city, spectacular!
Service was terrible had to wait 5 minutes untill someone came and took or lunch order and the same when I went to get a drink.
This place could be so much more if it had some money and love put back into it!

Booked a table for a group of 8 people in person one day before the occasion. Surprisingly they didn’t have us on the list when our guests arrived although I had the confirmation text.
I didn’t like the way they treated us. No sympathy, no recognition of their responsibility. Not a good job in handling the situation, Mr. Simon.
We have spent the night somewhere else at the end, and I am not recommending there anymore.
