We had a small gathering for my husbands 50th birthday and it was a great choice to have it at Skyrings . Excellent service, food and drinks were awesome!

We decided to step it up a little bit get dressed up it's a very nice clothing and attend restaurant 98 Very relaxed atmosphere beautiful restaurant, friendly staff the meals of very yummy we had the fresh red emperor and chicken avocado both very nice the dessert were amazing, highly recommend going to this restaurant we even saw patrons in thongs and T-shirts but it's nice to dress up occasionally

Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere. I ordered the coffee spiced 300g rib fillet steak and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked. I will recommend Skyrings to friends. Look forward to coming back.

The word ‘Tapas’ does not truly describe the menu offered. Delicate but very tasty. Carefully constructed but not pretentious. The oysters, scallops, tuna were perfect as was their home made tagliatelle. Service was great - professional but super friendly. There to make your evening whatever you wanted it to be. My husband and I enjoyed a two hat degustation meal on the Gold Coast —- but this place topped it hands down. Thank you TK and his fabulous crew for a delicious dining experience. Liz and John

The steak was nice but it was lacking condiments for $55. It was a small slice of steak with 2 carrots, 2 bites of beetroot and 1 broccolini piece. The salmon risotto also had no condiments, it was so bland and gluey with well over cooked Salmon, this was also overpriced at $55. To top it off the male waitress watched us like a Hawke, including standing next to me while I paid, considering we have more cash than what his house is worth this was totally unprofessional, the first rule of business is not to judge. We wouldn’t waste our time on coming again, way over priced for the lack of creativity within the menus.

The most amazing hearty homecooked style meal I have had in a long time. Just wished i had room to fit in dessert. The owners are so lovely and i will definately be visiting this restaurant next time I visit Rockhampton.

Oh wow. We came here for a celebratory dinner and we were not disappointed.
For anyone complaining about using QR codes for ordering YOU DO NOT HAVE TO USE THE QR CODE AT THE TABLE IF YOU DON’T WANT. Sheesh people just walk to the bar it’s not that hard 🤦.
The food
We had share plates of tacos, cauliflower bites, corn ribs. So many tasty vegan options. Such a treat. The cheesecake desserts were phenomenal.
The drinks
Almond martini was divine as was the skyring dragon.
Will be back again to try more of the menu items 🤤.

My wife and I had an amazing night out the service was exemplary the meals exquisite.the overall experience was top notch I definitely recommend the bone marrow dessert with the single malt scotch

My partner and I went for dinner last night. The setting was beautiful, it was a busy night but food came out reasonably quick and tasted good.
However, for the price we paid especially for the tapas, the portions were pretty small.
We ordered a few different cocktails, everything was great.
The only downside of our night was the staff who took the food order. She wasn’t friendly at all, no smiles, rolled her eyes while we ordered our food.

Lovely atmosphere.
The steak came out perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Perfectly cooked to medium rare with healthy veggies and sauce.

Looking for a restaurant in Rockhampton we found this one. and we were really lucky. A few places were still free. Prices are ok, food was great and tasted excellent. Prices also moderate. super, friendly staff. clear recommendation. we had a very nice evening!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant, and I can't sing its praises enough! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional.

In a word terrible, non existent service, an hour and twenty wait for food, mains and entree came out together in the end,(at least we got it I guess) Food was very ordinary, also rather expensive. Topped off with a singer who can’t sing!

I literally never write reviews but this dining experience was just sooo bizarre that I felt compelled to share. I came in Sunday evening after viewing the menu online. The photos of the food looked amazing and I was very hungry and ready to eat a lot! They have 2 menus at this establishment; the a la Carte menu and the tapas menu. When I arrived I was asked which menu I would like and I asked for both (as I had already known what I intended to order because like I said, I viewed the menu online). I was informed that the tapas menu was designed for the outdoor cocktail area whilst the a la carte menu was the full “fine-dining” restaurant experience indoors. I ordered the Atlantic salmon, fresh oysters, and pan seared scallops from the a la Carte menu but was also interested in the chilli pancetta mussels from the tapas menu. I was told that because they are two different menus that I would have to eat the mussels outside... even though all the food is prepared in the SAME kitchen at the SAME restaurant operating under the SAME name. Even though I had already ordered 3 items off the a la Carte menu , I was not able to enjoy my mussels along with the rest of my meal because it was off the tapas menu. This really put me off as I am the type of person who enjoys eating all of my food and experiencing all of their different flavors together. I found it absolutely ridiculous that after my scallops and oysters I was forced outside into the cold to eat my mussels.. only to return back inside for my main dish moments later. ?? There was absolutely no common logic behind this. It simply did not make sense. So although the food was amazing, the staff were very unaccommodating. I had asked several times if I could please just enjoy all of my food together but they were very insistent on me having to eat the mussels outside in the cold. After being very vocal about the unorthodox seating protocol, a waitress finally offered me a blanket to wear as I ate my tapas. That’s right, instead of simply letting me enjoy the mussels at the table I had already eaten at and was going to be returning to eat at, they’d rather give me a blanket outside. Whatever, at least I wasn’t cold anymore right? I was then approached by the owner, (Brad or Brett). He asked if I was enjoying the food and explained that the restaurant has only been open for about 3 weeks and seemed like a nice guy but was still unable to justify why it was necessary for me to move tables. I was really hoping that my frustration was visible and he’d just allow me to take the mussels inside with the rest of my food but nope. Not only was moving tables very annoying (and in my opinion just unnecessary), I’m not sure if it was the Covid-Safe thing to do... especially with the recent outbreak in south Queensland. Luckily I was dining alone, because if it were a large group of us transferring in and out it would be much more concerning COVID wise. The food was absolutely amazing though!!! I would have really really loved to come back to try more of the menu before I leave Rockhampton but the idea of going through the hassle of moving seats repeatedly and dealing with the not so friendly staff is so off putting that I unfortunately will not be returning. So if anyone can recommend any other places for great fresh seafood in rockhampton- let me know! Preferably a place where I can enjoy my entire meal as one 🤪

I have thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of multiple evenings at Skyring's! The atmosphere is gorgeous; dim lighting and a charming ambience. The cocktails were absolutely top-notch (shout out to the passionfruit & lychee martinis!) The tapas menu is comprehensive and decent sized, each dish was bursting with flavor and perfectly portioned to be shared. Now, let's talk about the two stand out items on the menu - the rib eye and eye fillet steaks... oh my goodness! They were cooked to perfection (have tried rare and medium), melt in your mouth tender, and packed with flavour, the paired vegetables were wonderful, I would have liked a bit more especially with the rib eye but still an exceptional meal!!! In heaven with in every single bite. Overall, I had an incredible dining experience and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal

Had a fantastic dining experience. Saw the QR code to order and was a little disappointed until the waiter came over and said not to worry that he would take care of us. Food was great and a huge range of drinks! Loved it and will be back again

Friendly , inviting, got a good vibe for a mid afternoon sneaky drink . Can't complain about the prices to be fair with the economy, needs some more whiskey options 🤔🤣 , the service is great , friendly staff so always a delightful place. The view is alright considering the location

Food was great, amazing drink selection, staff friendly. Understandable that they were busy, but telling customers that they can't order desert because the kitchen can't cope comes more down to poor staffing than anything, customers shouldn't be penalized because the kitchen can't keep up. Also being sat in a solid wall of shrubs was a bit off putting. Maybe trim the bushes before seating people there

Food was good, but I wish we were told that there would be a function on when we reserved a table as we would have gone elsewhere.
Prices are expensive for what you get. Drinks took a long time. First tapas arrived after 35-40 mins, then we had to ask the staff to check the kitchen for the rest for the tables orders 1.5 hours after they had ordered.
I understand it was a busy night but it was a serious disappointment.

Food and drinks were good. Prices very expensive considering Service wasn’t good. I booked a lounge 3 weeks ago for my birthday, it was raining so they moved our booking inside around midday. Ended up at some random table in the middle of the dining room. It stopped raining well before the dinner so we requested to be moved back to the lounge outside. None of the decorations that were dropped off had been set up and were still in the bags. The staff were all standing around with blank faces confused and not helping. We had to set them all up while my guests were arriving. It was really disappointing. We kept getting told the kitchen was closing, bar was closing.. they kept reminding us every 30 minutes. It made us feel unwelcome. By 9:30 they turned out all the lights and packed up all the chairs and lounges while I was sitting with my friends. My friends kept making comments about why they were trying to kick us out. The website says restaurant closes at 9:30 and the bar closes at 11pm. Was extremely disappointed in the service over all and this was for my 30th so I am really upset by the situation. I will never go back there.

First time I’ve been here, sorry will not be returning. Staff were efficient & friendly - however I think you are a bit over priced for your menu. I ordered the Rum bar bar bites (definitely not a rum bar bar). Was served a dry flour ball filled with sultanas & lemon peel.

Excellent service, food was very fast to come out, entree within 10 minutes of ordering, drink service was on point, mains were served within maybe 20-40 minutes from ordering which was impressive given the restaurant being full.
All in all a great place to come for an intimate evening with great food

Disappointed with this restaurant. Having a QR ordering system wrecks the whole experience (and yes it was explained to me prior however did not want to disrupt our night). Food was beautifully presented and enjoyable however, I wouldn't return due to having to use technology at the table. It was explained to me upon entrance and if I wasn't there to meet friends I would have left. You can order at the bar, however for what you pay to eat at this restaurant, you shouldn't have too. Absolutely turns a nice restaurant into a tacky experience and for what you pay, you shouldn't have too.

Beautiful food atmosphere and staff were next level amazing they were friendly efficient and attentive. Us group of ladies sat outside and had an absolutely amazing evening!! Great spot and all round wonderful evening !! We will be back ✨

Absolutely the best restaurant in Rockhampton. Chilli crab pasta entre and beef rib main were amazing. Look no further for the best beef in Queensland. Excellent waitress, attentive and friendly service. Quite surprised to find such a great dining experience at a motel. Also stayed here for the night. Nice room too. Clean and quality bed. Would definitely stay and dine here again.

Absolutely beautiful!! What a fantastic restaurant, new owners and tried the new menu we had natural oysters and let me tell you they were 100% fresh paired with Prosecco.. we then shared the meat board it was delicious and so tender enough for 2 people easy! This was paired with a bottle of red.. table service is inside and more relaxed outside.. honestly give it a go it’s fantastic food and a great atmosphere!

3 🌟 to low, 4 🌟 to high. So i give it 3.5 🌟 as google dont do half stars.
I ordered a cocktail, there cocktails are alazing iv been here for drinks before.
Entree i oredred 6 natural oyster, these where fresh with the amazing sea flavour followed by this sweet natural taste of the oysters. Amazing . I also ordered the grilled prawns, the marination was so nice, the actual prawn was over cooked very tough. The shell was totaly stuck on the tail.
One of the female waiters she has blonde hair with a accent, come over and says ill clean these plates. I said no you wont sprry im still eating. There was clearly two oysters and two prawns on the plate. she left then another waiter said do you mind if i take your plates? I said sure . Do you mind if i can have some fresh napkins? She brought back a glass with two inside the glass.
Few mins later the waiter who embarresed me earlier brings a small plate with a knife and a fork and takes the napkins and the other clean knife and fork.
My main comes to the table. I ordered bourban glazed salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection however my beetroot risotto was under cooked, when you bit into it. It was crunchy and dry flaky texture. I sent it back. They made it again. The salmon wasnt as good as the forst time and the all over flavours where just not as good as the first dish.
Thiw restaurant for the price your paying really needs back ground music, or someone playing the piano. They have this amzing piano juat sitting there. There is room for to refine the service .
