What a very pleasant surprise! It was a last minute decision to eat here & we left feeling full & fabulous!! 😍😍
We were greeted by the lovely Benita at the Bar & was looked after by the super friendly Khi who was very accommodating & funny! 😍😍
Customer service was 10/10 from the very beginning until we rolled out the door! 🤣🤣
Massive shout out to the chef Seb & his helper who cooked the food quite promptly. The fish n chips was fresh & quite a large size, salad was fresh & chips were nice & crispy.
The cheese burger combo was fat & juicy! Kids meals were great & you get a soft drink & ice cream with it for $12. Kids were stoked!
My ribs was good, it had chipotle sauce with it, chips & fresh salad.
Amazing food & hosts & service! Truly impeccable! Thank you all so much! We truly appreciate it! 😍😍

Visited for the first time today.
Easy to find parking and easy wheelchair access.
Was simple to order using the app.
Buffalo chicken wings were delicious blue cheese sauce with it was very tasty and you could pick up the blue cheese flavor.
Fries were super fresh hot and crispy.
Salt & Pepper Calamari was also very well prepared and tasty.
Porterhouse steak was cooked as requested and was very tender but was under seasoned. Easy fix as salt and pepper is available.

Very friendly staff, quick and delicious food! Very good pricing for portion sizes and the atmosphere was nice.

Unfortunately I didn't get the name of any of the stuff, but I will say that EVERYONE we spoke to was absolutely amazing. All very friendly and helpful! The food arrived like 5 minutes after ordering, and the staff were super accommodating when I asked if I could take a cheesecake in a box to eat at home (since the lunch was such a large portion - definitely worth it!). Overall a very nice experience, and I'll absolutely take my family to eat lunch there again in the future. Highly recommend!

The service and atmosphere were great. Everyone was welcoming and the kids room was a big hit. The menu sounded good however when we got our food it wasn't the best. My crumbed chicken schnitzel was processed chicken and we got the crumbed steak which was also processed meat

Stella venue, staff were polite and added a personal touch to each visit to the bar, food was well cooked and served in good size... only missing photos of chefs suggestions on their me&u table ordering system.

Staff were friendly from start to finish. Food was really good, everyone happy with what they ordered and good size proportions. Only downfall you had to order with yr phone, much prefer a menu and getting up to order the food, and not being charged the extra coin by using the app.

Sorry Smithfield Tavern! Came for dinner here over the weekend, and was dissapointed..paid $93 for two meals. I was happy with the steak cooked to perfection, unfortunately the sides let this meal down. The Caeser Salad looked like it had been made that morning? Brown soggy lettuce? No croutons! No bacon! Barely had a serving of chips,which tasted like old oil..the garlic bread was barely cooked.wont be back.

Prawn and chorizo pasta was amazing, so much flavour. One of the best pasta’s I’ve had!!!

Love my pork belly but my partner said that his ravioli pasta was just OK.The place is nice and the staff members are friendly.I would say it’s 4.5!♥️♥️♥️Still highly recommended!

last time i had food here was almost 1 year ago and the food wasn't really great .but now the food has improved immensely excellent service , i had the barra and as always it was so delicious i cleaned my plate back. so keep up the excellent work

Last minute Saturday dinner. Ordered off the Chef's special menu.. always feels risky ordering a $32 pork belly. Glad I did! The pork melted in my mouth, the sweet potato was one of the sweetest I've had, ordered the cheeseburger off the kids menu was delicious and as always the Cesar my partner got was spot on. Thanks for a great meal guys 👍🏾

I had the Rib Steak and it was tender and cooked perfectly… Thanks to the staff for their courtesy and making a working visitor feel welcome 😊

I had a PERFECTLY cooked steak. There was a lovely team member who I especially wanted to mention, Jemma.N. She was so nice and bubbly. Always smiling. Thank you Jemma for making my visit even better and your baby boy is sooo cute.
The Bistro manger Ben was really nice, welcoming and very accommodating also. We had a great experience and we will definitely be back next trip to Cairns.

Hands down the best meals in Cairns!
My partner and I frequently dine here and have never had a bad meal, It's always absolutely Amazing! We've dined in many restaurants in the Cairns region but always come back to the tavern as we know it's always great.
The meals are always perfectly cooked, great sizes and excellent prices.
Recently dined in for Valentines day and all I can say is WOW, top restaurant quality meal. We were seriously blown away at what we got, especially for the price.
Very highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
Big thank you to Head Chef 'Steve', Seb and the other amazing chefs. Also to the Waiter Ben and staff. Thank you for always taking good care of us. 😊

Great place to eat. Friendly and fast service. Ribs were perfect.. melt in your mouth. Garlic bread one of the best too. Reasonably priced.

Fantastic in every way.
Except…
Aircon makes the far side of the restaurant freezing cold.
Need more onion in the salad and real lettuce ( iceberg )
Nobody likes their steak on top of their chips.

Came into the Smithfield Tavern for dinner tonight and was served by lovely and bubbly servers named Khi and John. Our food came out and it was amazing. Such friendly service and the food was amazing. Definitely recommend

Another wonderful weekly lunch with my sister. The food was delicious and the drinks were cold. Josephine and staff were lovely. Perfect place to be on a scorching hot day. 🌞

Amazing service, Amazing food. Went there for valentines day and had an amazing seafood 3 course meal with Rose chocolates and bottle of wine for under 100 dollars. Service was brilliant from the bar and wait staff to the chef. Thanks for a great night out guys

Absolutely amazing place. From delicious food to the best staff. We come here regularly and every time the food is perfect and always the best selection. The chef’s suggestions are always unreal. Can never fault this place. Thank you to, James, Ben & Nico for always making us feel so welcome and comfortable. If you want a delicious meal, look no further.

Absolutely amazing place as always. Staff are amazing, the food… wow! We have come for years and never have had a bad meal or bad service. We go in to see the staff. So welcoming! Massive shout out to all of them and Chef James, you’re an amazing cook. Thanks Jams, Ben and Nicko for always having a smile on your face and making sure everyone is attended too.
