You really are spoilt for choice on the border with a humming hospitality, dining, pub, and entertainment scene, but Sodens Hotel in Albury has never disappointed me. Recent works have the pub looking her best, food has always been great, prompt, and delivered with a smile. I’m not a local, but regularly get up to the border for work. Occasionally my trips have coincided with one of the awesome Live Bands or Tribute Shows Sodens is so well known for supporting on the border. Hats off, it’s a great venue, I’m always welcomed with a smile. It’s not by chance I keep going back.

Why I love Sodens, mainly the staff, why , one night I was there enjoying the live music and I got a sad phone call from family and I was in tears and the staff were amazing making sure I was ok comforting me, I was so thankful. Another reason I love Sodens is I have anxiety disorder, I just love live music and want to be able to enjoy it but large crowds or people pushing up against me sets my anxiety off but Evan and his team have gone beyond to make sure I'm comfy there and would for anyone you just need to let them know, I love Sodens because I feel safe and comfortable which means the world to someone with a anxiety disorder.

When it comes to Albury there is only one venue that we consider for our bands touring the area, and that is Sodens Hotel. A large format hotel that offers the best bands and live music regularly. From the staff to the patrons attending events the music is always received with vigour.
Keep up the good work guys and we cant wait to put on more great events in Albury!

What an amazing live music venue this is. We came from Melbourne for the weekend and had the best night of good old Aussie Rock. Great crowd and a good group of people and friendly staff. I will definitely go back to Sodens next time I am in Albury.

We often go to Sodens for the live music and a meal. I always enjoy their food and have never had any complaints other than it fill me up. :) Some times you can expect to wait a while but at a busy time when any place has hundreds of people in I think that is quite reasonable. If they are flat out, don't be upset, make the most of it to enjoy the chance to chat to your friends. The food won't take all that long and is worth the wait. :) It is a great place to catch up with friends or to hold a function and they have a good range of live bands there, both local and from Melbourne or Sydney.

Took myself and 3 kids for lunch, it was ANZAC day so super busy. We didn’t book, they had a heap pf reservations, yet they found us a table near the amazing kids play area! The food was great, I had the Caesar salad and it was the best one I have ever had.
Excellent selection of beers on tap including local craft options.
Friendly staff, new refurbishment throughout is great- do yourself a favour and get back to Sodens!

The food is average at best. Surely we can do better than soggy schnitzels. Why is there never any dressing on the salads. Everything is always under seasoned.

Sodens is my local, the owners and staff are friendly and always keen on your having the best experience. food is always 10/10 beer is fresh and ice cold, do yourself a favour and visit Friday and or Saturday nights the live music is unreal some of the best local and interstate bands around

Sodens is an awesome pub with a great atmosphere. Sodens is the best live music venue on the border. They run an open mic night for local musicians to get up and play a few songs. The crowd is always very encouraging and supportive. The service is excellent. Food is delicious and the live music is great. Without a doubt my favourite pub in Albury/Wodonga.

Nicely refurbished old pub but extremely disappointed by the steak. For $48 for reef and beef the steak was dry and of poor quality so I didn’t end up eating. Definitely not medium rare.
Overall decent environment but other central pubs in area have better ambiance and quality food. 1 staff for front bar isnt enough for service but friendly staff

My wife found this place while she was walking around our accommodation.
When we got tap beer in the hotel pub, we noticed the hotel is looking after their beer tap appropriately. The beers we got were one of the taste beer ever. Also the staffs were kind. We were feeling like this is how the hotel has been stand for long time in the Albury area. The food were also enough amount to fill out my hunger and the taste is good. All my family were happy with this hotel pub.

Love our Thursday and Friday nights at Sodens. We travel from Rutherglen. Great family meals, always delicious and something for everyone.
We then stick around for awesome live local music after dinner. Great to see the support that Sodens give to young and old local talent.

Love coming to Sodens for a feed but also for their live entertainment! One of the only places left in Albury who provide every week amazing bands and for FREE!
Drink prices are also reasonable, so many places are charging upwards of $13.00 for a spirit! Ridiculous. Sodens you can have a night out without breaking the bank.
Keep up the good work Sodens, don't change!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Sodens Hotel and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. The venue caters to all types of guests. From couples to families or individuals just looking for the perfect place for a memorable experience.
One of the highlights of my visit was the live music performances. The tribute bands that played at Sodens Hotel were absolutely incredible. They captured the essence of the original artists and had the crowd dancing and singing along all night. The energy and talent of the musicians were truly impressive.
The service at Sodens Hotel was also top-notch. The staff were all friendly, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every guest had a great time. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and taken care of. Whether it was helping with recommendations or attending to any requests, the staff were always efficient.
The combination of great music, excellent service, and a lively atmosphere made for an unforgettable experience.

Good pub food, reasonably priced, great indoors kids' playground. But, anyone familiar with the old-school aesthetic of Soden's and its role as an incubator of up-and-coming live music acts will be disappointed

Fantastic venue that is a huge supporter for local live music. Open mic nights once a month + weekly gigs. Food is always good and staff always friendly.

Been coming here for over 25 years for the live music/entertainment, meals and just general catch up with friends. The staff are super friendly and managers/owners commitment to provide live music from locals and national acts is second to none. Worth checking out if you are in the area.

Awesome venue for live music of a Friday and Saturday night. Staff are always friendly, food is great. Plenty of parking in and around the venue. Highly recommend to check it out for live music in the area.

Awesome live music, friendly fun atmosphere. Staff are amazing and always make you feel welcome. Every weekend without fail they have live music to enjoy. A wide range of bands play here so there is something to suit everyone, from 80s nights, tribute bands or original local artists, Sodens always delivers a good night out.

An enjoyable location for lunch. An $18.00 menu had a reasonable choice of meals, ranging from Chicken, Fish, or Asian. Very modern decor in a spacious environment. I recommend.

Amazing venue! Best place around for live music for sure, the staff are super friendly, drink prices are on point and the food is great, it’s a place I’ll always continue to go back to! I love the atmosphere here ✌️

Always a great time at Sodens, friendly obliging staff and fantastic entertainment. Awesome mix of local bands and artists from the bigger cities. Also check out Sodens open mic the first Wednesday of every month.

Always a great feed, lovely specials and bistro is often full. Kids playground, beer garden, social events, keno, fox sport and pokies, plus separate areas for smokers. Ample parking nearby.
The highlight though, is the Live entertainment vibe and truly bloody awesome live bands from all over East Oz that come to perform at Sodens. There are also some great local bands that locals love to support and plenty of Bevos to choose from. Fri and Sat nights cater for a range of music tastes, genres and age groups to draw and please the crowds.

Absolutely best live music venue in town without a doubt. Fabulous atmosphere, very friendly, welcoming and professional staff providing A1 service every time. Delicious menu, catering for everyone including vegetarian and celiac options. Keep up the great work guys x Proud to call you my local!
