Yesterday I went to SOPO and there was a singer named Deb (6/3/24) - she had a great soothing voice and it was great background sound that allowed me to do my work and have conversation with my friend - it was not intrusive and very lovely. She had a great attitude and really livened the place up. I spoke to her afterwards and gave her a compliment and she was very friendly as well.

We visited during the week, but it was fairly busy. The drinks were cold and the atmosphere was good and the service was good, with minimal wait. There was a fairly good menu with a variety of meals. We did not stay on, so cannot comment on meals. The bonus was the live music, which was entertaining, but not really appreciated by the audience present.

We've been visiting each time we've come to Australia. Friendly staff, good live entertainment and discounts on food and beverage with membership card. Soon recover that outlay.

We had a great night out seeing The Angel's playing here last weekend, with Dave Gleeson as lead singer from The Screaming Jets.. they were awesome!! 😎 Even better knowing we could take the tram as it stops right outside too.

They didn’t have Aperol Spritz nor any idea what one was when I asked which can be forgiven especially when you have young bar staff however it’s a staple drink for those aspiring boojey bars on the GC. When our food came out they had ran out of burger buns so used two pieces of toast instead. When presented with our food there was no offer of a complementary drink or free dessert, instead it was a shoulder shrug. Again, young staff and I don’t aim my criticism at them however the people responsible for running the venue need to pick up their game.

The club is very nice. The meals are great and the wait is quick. The music and entertainment they have is excellent . If you like a game of bingo there's plenty of that as well. Night and day games. I'm looking forward to another visit in the future. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Spicy margarita and some great eats! A few items were missing from the menu whilst ordering but it wasn't a deal breaker. Would definitely come back.

SOPO in Southport is great. Affordable meals & good discounts for members especially if it’s your birthday. Average size gaming room w/ free soft drink refreshments for gaming players. Have a large bingo base around the club w/ good jackpots & the staff is always friendly & good to have a joke with. I recommend trying the lamb shanks & there salad rolls. Good place to organise if your planning a function/party! 🌟

So much to like and enjoy but sadly we had to leave early. Food service staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Drink service staff really took there time. Enjoyed chatting to each each other while large lines were created. We tried to enjoy the meal but sadly it was cut short and we had to go. Menu quite extensive and prices well. The food quality was quite nice and good flavours. So why did we leave early? The music! A band was playing which played some decent tunes but the volume was sooooooooo loud. Like excessively loud. Even the quite aged crowd were struggling with it. Having travelling 2.5 hours and staying in town for the night we arranged for a group of friends to meet for dinner and catch up chat and conversation. But we ate, couldn’t talk, cause the music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other. We spoke with a staff member asking if there was a quiet location and she sadly said there wasn’t and agreed the band was extremely loud and more than normal. It kinda wrecked out night and we had to leave finding somewhere quiet to speak but was getting late by this point and ears still ringing we called it quits and left. Positive side is, on-site free parking. Just good luck getting one.

Nice easy place to bring my elderly mum for dinner with some friends. Local to the GC. In Southport for an event. Car parking underneath off Lawson St, elevator to entrance, airconditioning, nice food at reasonable prices. Not noisy. Good service. Not a fan of the house Gin in the G&T, didn't end up drinking it.

My girlfriend & I had dinner last night at the RSL, in one of the super comfortable booths and had a very relaxing & enjoyable experience, as always. The meals were delicious, staff incredibly friendly & quality of the wine (Sav Blanc) perfect. I usually dine here before attending events at Gold Coast Little Theatre, which was our reason again last night & can highly recommend the RSL 10/10

I have been there for 3 concerts and they have all been great. Spacious room, excellent sound, and great height of the stage. Love seeing what shows they have on so I can go there again. Room for dancing also 🤩

I feel very disappointed for the way that the reception manager lady treated the reward winner. She even made a excuse to take my reward ticket away. In Sopo every member should have a birthday reward which is different from the daily reward or lucky draw when swipe the card. It was my first time to win a bronze reward at the entrance sign in machine today. After I swiped the membership card, the screen said happy birthday (my birthday month) and a ticket dropped down. Somehow I mixed up and thought it was the birthday drink voucher. The ticket was written Bronze reward valid only today. When I entered the restaurant it was full and no table available, and the bar had many people waiting. I was thinking to change restaurant but in the meantime, I didn’t want to give up my birthday voucher. So I asked the reception manager for help. She looked impatient and unfriendly, kept saying that the ticket is only valid today even I mentioned that it was not my birthday, I would like keep it for my birthday to use. Later she checked my ticket and said it belonged to a male and took it away. It was until I left the restaurant that I realised how unprofessional and dishonest she was. She could easily explain to me that the ticket was the daily reward I won and had nothing to do with the birthday voucher instead of telling a liar and rudely taking it away. As a regular diner I feel quite offended for the experience tonight.

Had a great meal out (not here) but did decide to stop here for a play of the gaming. What a mistake! Took all my money. If you want to get drunk with no responsible service of alcohol. Here is your place. My uncle drank so much alcohol I’m surprised he is standing. They just kept serving him. And serving him. And serving him. Even when we were verbally upset at losing… they look and smiles and don’t care. Just want to rap3 us of every cent. When I say they, I refer to the gaming machines. Odds are horrific. Even worse of late.

Friday 12/1 great venue with good choice of pub style food and drink, we usually enjoy the entertainment but the trio on Friday were TOO loud. Despite being asked twice by Duty Manager to turn down the volume it was still much too loud, eventually forcing us and a few others to leave earlier than normal. Shame!!!

First time visit and really enjoyed having a quick bite to eat. The young girl when I asked a question was unsure but showed initiative to help with a solution and a smile on her face. It was just refreshing and unexpected from other similar places I visit when asking the younger staff questions. Came for a dinner and the food looked and tasted great. I always have to try the parmigiana when I go new places and this one was on the better side. Thick chicken breast and everything just tasted fresh. My mouth waters thinking about my next visit here. Everything seemed really nicely set out. Not over crowded and clean which makes for a relaxing evening. The entertainment was playing some great tunes that had some ppl dancing the night away. Looking forward to coming back Only slight critique, theres a wall that has name of service men and woman on gold plates. It was in a dark corner. And using our phone lights it was reflecting to much and couldn’t read names. Unfortunately we were unable to find my friends grandfathers one.

Day shift staff are lovely, Night shift staff, not all of course, but wow, some of them are so rude, and late at night it feels like they don't want you in there establishment, I'm really disappointed. I won't be going back there at night ever again..

As a member of sopo and diggers club surfers paradise for 15 years I got reminded Thursday night 4th April 2024 at a empty diggers club in surfers paradise, why no one goes there anymore and why I don’t feel like going there anymore, as a local member it never used to be like this attending diggers club there was always very polite stuff and still is but a service army vet member to be treated by raciest staff member and a very disrespectful new door person I’ve seen a couple of times at diggers who just sat there at reception eating with a attitude like no tomorrow I was at Cavill hotel and it was busy specially the gaming room went up to diggers and it was empty, now there is a problem with that so if members be greeted by a racist staff member with a attitude treating the members like he did last night I will never attend this club and again and this is why I think no one is really going to diggers anymore as a local business man and resident reaching out to the community and the owner of diggers, this racist staff member needs to be removed from diggers surfers paradise there is no room is this community and the world for racism.

A great place for a coffee, cold beer, good food, entertainment, and a dance, all in a civilised and well-behaved environment. Perfectly located between my home & Australia Fair, to pop in for refreshments on the way home.
