What a beautiful traditional country pub, thoroughly enjoyed our lunch

Walked out... pre booked a table for there $15 300gr T-bone night for 6:30. Arrived to be told they had sold out but were offered a 400gr T-bone instead at $35. Grabbed a takeaway beer for the drive back into town and was fairly priced in there defence.

the meals are very reasonable and the service is quick, meals are always very nice

The food here was very tasty, generous servings and nicely presented.|We visited at lunchtime and had the Whiting with Salad and Chips and the Steak Sandwich and both meals were yummy.|Staff are friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our meals|

Me and my partner went for dinner and cost us $74 for a steak and pork chops the menu online says $20 for steak and $22 for pork chops. When we asked the lady behind the bar she was rude and would not give us a straight answer and told us we have the wrong menu which was a hard copy of there menu from 4 months ago. When I asked her for a new menu of the prices she could not provide. We are very disappointed with this not to mention the food was not nice and cold.

Loved the meals, and so big and really tasty, couldn't fault them. Pity about the wine choice, not much to choose from. We drunk 3 bottles of sparkling piccolos thats all. Not good enough for a pub, would have thought they would have more for women.

Just went for dinner with the family for a birthday, the meal was delicious and fast friendly service and to top it off the birthday boy got his meal free. Thanks South Kolan for a great night 😊

I've been too South kolan pub many times for family events and enjoyed the experience. Tonight was very disappointing, I had arrived late for my family members birthday and took a seat at the table , I brought food with me because everybody else had already eaten. As I opened my food too eat this waitress was peering over my shoulder, she then began to question where I got the food , she then told me to not eat my food. I closed the box and began talking to my family, the lady then came back asking if I was done my food once again standing over me I had the box closed as she previously asked me not too eat she then decided to rip my food out of my hands. She went away once again as I stood my ground and told her too leave me alone I wasn't eating. She came back a third time and started yelling in my ear about how I've continued too eat ( I have not eaten from the first time she told me). This lady then tired too grab my food again, she then went too the other end of the table to ask them if I had been eating (this table had 11 people so nobody at the other end would of seen). I was discusted at this point so I got up and left, I am unsure why this waitress with black hair and glasses would not leave me alone when I was doing nothing wrong. after that performance I won't be back, what a joke. If I could I'd put negative 1 star.

It's a good spot for a work stay if your just passing through the rooms are well priced the food reviews look good so if I get dinner here ill let you all know how that goes aswell.
So I got the supreme pizza absolutely top class pizzas her I tell ya ill put new pics up and a work mate had a steak it was perfect and everything about the food was good

Had a luncheon here with 32 other people. The meals were very good and hot . The staff were brilliant. Plenty of food on the plates.

For $70 a room with 3 single beds your own toilet & shower & everything clean attached to the hotel with great meals & hot & cold buffet bar plus great live music Friday & Saturday nights what more could you ask for honestly!!

First they claim to be a family friendly venue yet there is no change table available, second what kind of place dosnt serve mash and veg at lunch, I don't know about everyone eles but when I order rissoles I expect it to come with mash and veg not chips and salad, nor is it on there menu stating this. third there menu states that 1 complimentary sauce second sauce $2 no where on the menu does dose it say that, that is for steaks only terribly service a smile dosnt hurt.

Do yourself a favour and go and have an amazing meal here with a few cold drinks. Steaks cooked to perfection and the rest of the menu is great. Friendly staff.
Just got home from another great meal. Well done guys and girls .

Best steaks and atmosphere for a good old fashioned country pub. Worth the drive from Bundaberg (20 minutes). Great smorgasbord of veggies and chips. Excellent prices as well. Awesome!

Avoid this place like the plague. It offers nothing, especially the pub. Bad food, service, owners. What a dump. Known as SKP and you will see why, you can't wait to escape. Keep driving to Bucca pub. The coolest pub in blunderberg. It beats SKP hands down without trying.

A truly country pub, fantastic, friendly staff. The food is amazing and the locals love a chat . Fantastic atmosphere.

A scorching hot day ! The pub had fans and no air-conditioning. This may have been due to the electric problems they were experiencing and tripping out the power.
So, this would have made everything difficult for them. However the staff were very nice considering this. Meals were delicious ! We all really enjoyed them.

After visiting Jim's machines, my family and I stopped in South Kolan Pub for lunch.
Atmosphere was comfortable, nice and relaxing.
Food was delicious and tasty. We ordered Steak, Snitty's, seafood basket, Burgers and the creamy garlic prawns is up.there with the best.
SKP had Wheelchair access with lots of room for us to move our disabled son around, which was awesome..
I highly recommend this beautiful place.

A couple of weekends ago there were 6 of us that went for a ride from Bundy to Wallaville Hotel (great service, cold beer), then onto Gin Gin, there was a black out of some type so no meals and 5 to 2 so we called the South Kolan Hotel, and although it was down to the wire, they took our meal orders and kept them nice and hot for us, great service always with smiles, thank you all.
