With the busy time for Mother's Day luncheons, I was really impressed with the efficiency of the staff. It didn't take long to order and receive our meals. The salad was fresh and our seafood was cooked to perfection. The only thing I would recommend is having seniors meals that are a bit smaller. We left very satisfied with very full bellies 👍👏

What can I say! It was a fabulous experience regarding food being nicely cooked, the service was as quick as can be expected for a busy Monday night BUT why was the food COLD!!! The hotest thing on our plates were the bread roll (accompanying the roast of the day) and the chips side order. Really guys! What happened??

Went to order a glass of wine -There were 2 trainees ( i think) who initially ignored me, then when I asked for a glass of wine I was asked if I wanted a schooner or other??? Then they queried my choice pointing to spirits, so when I pointed to the Sav Blanc on tap 3 times (didn't think they would understand the bottles in the fridge) it was too hard. Got my members card back & left without a drink.
Following on from that the "promo" that was on in the gaming room seemed off!! Three names kept coming out at least 3 times, like no-one else was there. When queried told it was the "computer" so disappointed in what we thought was a good club

Top staff, great courtesy bus and all welcome. I joined up for $5.50, so impressed with the service. Fantastic views of the Mackay airport.

The reef room is quite good for a family event. Everything should be better if the receptionist was more friendly

The place is old. Food is good but not that great. Staff from the lobby and some other staff in the dining and cafe area are not that customer friendly. Not a family-child friendly place. So if you have kids, do not go here as one of the staff said, it is an adult venue. Good for their regular and older age bracket customers, they have this kind of ongoing territorial attitude it’s kind of amusing. Membership is $5 with not much benefits, unless you come here all the time for pokies. They would need an ID on entry so bring one you come here (even if you only come to dine) otherwise you can’t play in the game room as we are told. Overall, it’s ok.

The menu is available online to view and share prior to booking. This was great as our group of 9 had varied dietry requirements to meet. The booking was made a few days in advance via a link on the website. A booking confirmation email was recieved instantly. An email to confirm or make changes to the booking was received the day prior to our dinner evening. The wait time after ordering was reasonable and the meals were presentable and enjoyed by all.

Pokies are a second to none experience luxurious, accommodating and designed for fun ooh I suggest get a membership too 500 free credits on sign up and I hear they do random points bonuses too so what y'all waiting for!!!!!

Our most recent visit to South’s was for the Easter egg hunt and raffles The super friendly and helpful team members ( Maxine and Savannah) advised and guided us with the evenings programme. The kids had a fun filled night with hunting for eggs and received their own special sample bag filled with goodies the arrival of Easter bunny made the night filled with special memories. We didn’t have to wait too long for our dinners from the bistro which were delicious. Although we didn’t win any raffle prizes, we all had a great night and will be back again next year to celebrate special moments that matter

Ordered a side of chips and we got maybe 12 chips from coffee shop, after charging us $3.20. Our friends ordered the nachos and the quacamole was off. Definitely won't be back

Nice venue, conveniently located, very clean and friendly staff but food was inedible. Beef & noodle salad absolutely revolting, I was unsure what was going on with the dressing, had texture of curdled eggs. Chips on all other meals stone cold. Very disappointed as after meals were served could not located any staff to discuss with so decided to leave. Will not be back.

Loved our experience from the moment we walked through the doors. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Tanya (I hope that's right) took our order and she asked all the right questions and nothing was forgotten for everyone's orders, my scatter brain always forgets the BBQ sauce or something but she was so thorough, friendly and helpful she definitely made the 5 star experience.
All of meals were amazing, even the gluten free coating on the calamari was nice, which is rare!

Huge pokie room, really well outfitted facilities, clean and tidy. We had lunch (rack of ribs approx $33) which was extra large serving sized, couldn't eat it all but extra tasty and perfectly cooked. Staff were excellent, and the coffee was OK. Overall highly recommend.

Food very nice BUT not allowed to take left overs home. Only club in Mackay that doesn’t allow it. We now tend to go to others more. In the older age group and we don’t eat as much. Who ever made the decision should change it.

Fantastic Atmosphere, Friendly staff, Delicious Food, Definitely Recommend coming here. Don't forget to become a member, it's only $2.50 not only does it support your local community club but it also gets you cheaper meals and drinks at the bar.
We ordered the ROAST of the Day, and Steak with Garlic Prawns and Creamy Garlic Sauce.

Excellent value for money. Meal well presented. Friendly staff and fast service of meals. Well worth the 5$ memberships. We had crumbed steak and nacho chicken with salsa.

Every visit to Souths Leagues Club has been enjoyable , friendly staff, nice food and a terrific family atmosphere .
I recommend this club to the community , the cakes are divine and coffee is good, what more can you ask for......

Coffee is average. Food is quite good and large. TOILETS ARE ALWAYS WITH NO HAND SOAP - WHAT IS THE GO GUYS. Every single time i come there there is NO HAND SOAP in the dispensers

Can't beat the pickup and drop off bus service they offer. Always a great place for meals and drinks and all round socialising. Great live music and nice big place even for work related or personal functions as well.

Beautiful club. Staff are extremely friendly. Guessing the meals are extraordinary but will have to come back for that update.
Came in early for coffee, cake and a sandwich. Sandwich was beautiful and fresh but the cake slice was half the size of those in the cabinet and not fresh at all.

Awesome value for money and a great venue highly recommend! Best crumb steaks in town ! Always awesome deals and prizes for members to win ! Great bistro area and even better bar. Highly recommend

Amazing service by everyone from the moment we stepped inside. Food was absolutely filling and delicious. Best of all though is the manned kids room!! Our dining experience was much more relaxing knowing our kids were looked after. We will be back again 🙂

After travelling for over a week, we were craving some veggies. Our needs were truly met with the Roast Beef.
Juicy, loads of veg, yummy gravy and a roll. Perfect.
